Brought my 1999 Miata in for a slow loss in coolant and some hesitation and bucking intermittently when driving. They found my coolant leak, replaced a radiator hose and did lots of road testing to try and reproduce the hesitation and bucking. Unfortunately they couldn't reproduce it nor find any faults, but since I had a home built cold air intake (relax, it's janky) they had some recommendations to improve it. They only charged me for the replacement of the coolant hose and after implementing their changes on the intake... the once intermittent issue is now entirely gone. I'm not upset when I have to bring my Miata in, I know it just returns to me better than before. read more

They made their own inspection and gave me their recommendations, which were a lot more reasonably priced. I ultimately ended up with even more improvements for a much lower price. The communication was great between us. This is my mother's car. I am very careful about what professionals I bring around her and how they treat her. They were very kind and helpful. I myself was referred their by another satisfied customer. Made an appointment where I had to stay with the car before coming to work. They started on the car as soon as I got there. All my questions were answered. Alex pointed out some things on my car were missing and tightened all suspension components after I mentioned there was a bit of noise over bumps. Does everything from Stock work to mods to full on race cars with engine swaps. He had me out of there in the promised hour and I was off to work. Prices are very reasonable. I am not rich, but I know you have to spend money to play. I am not a mechanic, but I do know a lil bit about cars. I do try to spend money at the local shops and I always ask a ton of questions. Like some people, I try to find the answers to the questions, before I take that same question to a shop and see what they say(always looking to do business with a honest shop). Intergrated Performance is located around the corner from my house. walking distance with no sweating involved. Why would I want to travel to the other side of L.A., to pay for a service that I could get here? I'll tell you why. If you don't have any clue on what your trying to get or paying for, the sneaky tuner here will dig in your pocket. I had stopped by the shop a few times and asked questions about ideas I had and opinions on things they had done before. The price for getting your car tuned here, is in line with most shops around L.A., that's not the problem. Here is where it goes foul. I stopped by the shop again 9-23-2013 and I go through my normal car opinion questions. I ask the tuner about the Apexi AFC Neo for my car and would it work for what I am trying to do. Yes, is his answer. Cool. How much does it cost(I already knew the answer $450.00, brand new)? I can order you a brand new one for $650 and have it here tomorrow. I bit my lip, I was kind of caught off guard. I asked the tuner 2 more times for the price and he said $650, each time. That was a strike right there. I asked how much would it be to hook up the piece in my car? The tuner said $180 an hour, minimum 1 hour and it would take all most 2 hours. Like I said, I am not a mechanic, but Damnnnn. I asked for a card, so I would make sure I was talking about the right place here on yelp. I can't unsderstand some shop employees, trying to get a lil bit more than required. I always tip anyone that works on my car, because I know I might need their services again. But after that experience yesterday, Intergrated Performance has fallen off my list of local shops to support. read more

I've been going to Alex since he worked at Brainstorm. He is knowledgeable, professional, thorough, and he aims to please. His shop is a distance away, but every time I try a more convenient mechanic, my experience only reinforces my belief that there's no one better than this guy. i took my car there for a vacuum leak. he had my car for a day and after their diagnosis, assured me that there was no vacuum leak. i then worked through a datalogging/tuning process with my tuner and he told me that the map sensor readings were low (vacuum leak = not enough pressure in the intake manifold). i then took my car to tri point (expensive as hell, but they WILL fix your problem) and the kid there diagnosed the leak in under a minute using brake cleaner. again, integrated performance had my car for a day AND charged me $180... didnt find my vacuum leak, not sure what they did... what the heck did i even pay for??? read more
