Had a car towed to this shop for repair. Met with Samuel Sosa, as my service advisor and I had to ask immediately. No relation. I had to try. Well, this Samuel wasn't slugging homeruns out of that body shop. However, he seemed to wear his heart on his sleeve, had a warm tone, and was highly competent with the processes and timelines. After he spelled everything out - he made me feel as if any request would be considered. Whether email, text, or phone call - he was always available and ready to serve. Also, Selena in the front office with Odalis were so fitting for their roles. Selena, was very warm, compassionate, and hospitable; she offered coffee and tea to folks in the lobby. In between drop off and pick, the team communicated very well. They would respond to my text message, or email, and or call me; they were game no matter which channel. You got the feeling that they're always all covering the field. For pick up, I show up two hours early. I'm told they can accommodate. I say I can wait, and they really want to appease. They said, they were ten minutes away from finishing the car wash for me(which was early). So, I hang out at the lobby and schmooze with other consumers. One family brought in a toy yorkie and the pooch had an accident (number 2). Immediately, the consumer apologizes and an attentive staff member gets up, Odalis, and cleans it all away. Then Odalis rolls up the stained carpet, takes it outside; props open the lobby door for fresh air. The place smelled like pine-sol and ocean breeze after that. Then lastly, Odalis checks in with the family with the dog for a few minutes. I heard her say the doggie is "so cute". I mean, just kind-hearted all the way through. They worked to accommodate my requests to pay out of pocket and not replace the entire mirror assembly. The mirror had a small scratch and crack that wasn't consequential. This saved me $1.2K. I also would like to mention the office admin Jennifer as well. She was also really responsive and easy to work with. My Ioniq 6 looks brand new again. I was worried with the matte paint that there would be a noticeable difference but I can't see it. So to recap I had a 6 mo old EV (requires special shop), matte paint, and was looking to keep costs down since I wanted to pay out of pocket with the crazy insurance prices that keep going up. I went to this location as a referral when I was looking for a place for a bumper repair on an EV (electric car). The woman (Jennifer?) on the phone was SUPER helpful! She worked with my schedule and happily answered all of my questions. I cannot give enough praise to Patrick (General Manager) who took the time to explain the process and challenges of working on an EV so that I felt well informed and I got to learn a lot of new things. The car was repaired faster than expected and it looks brand new. Also, the final bill was lower than I was expecting! Woo Hoo! I'm very disappointed with my experience here. I took my car to their shop to get an estimate and they never followed up with me to provide the estimate. I had to reach out with several phone calls to only sometimes be hung up on, or told I would receive a call back only to once again not hear anything. A week later, after still not receiving an estimate, I reached out again. I was told I would not be able to be helped and that I should reach back out to my adjuster for next steps to receive help somewhere else. So, I reached out to my adjuster and they informed me there was no reason for this to have happened from my insurance end (unlike what caliber collision told me). Either way, I'm glad they redirected me to get help from a different shop because I would not want this place to fix my car in the first place based off the lack of communication and lack of help in the repair process. There are plenty of other quality locations in the area, save yourself some time and check out another place. read more

The Ford dealership brought my car in under warranty work. They use Caliber Collision exclusively, since they pay thousands of dollars each month for the referrals and all collision and warranty work. When I complained to the dealership about the quality of the repair, they said that they had nothing to do with it, which isn't true. They might not have done the work at Airport Marina but they partnered with Caliber collision. There's an obvious hump of around 1/16" of an inch in the door sill from improper prep and doing a rush job. I'm pretty sure that they used a fiberglass reinforced Bondo on the 3" repair and didn't feather out the patch correctly. For the record it's a rather time consuming repair to get it perfect, they were close but at $2,300 the job is not good. If they charged $500-$800 you could say "you get what you pay for," So top dollar paid for marginal and below quality work. I checked the paint with a paint thickness gauge and the door jamb which they sprayed was double the normal thickness. I'm not sure why they would do this since the paint is non metalic and flat. It was inside the door jamb so it never faded. The only answer is they didn't need to match the color and the chances of checking the mill thickness was .0001%. I did taking a stainless steel 6" rule and noticed the hump. The dealer told me to stop complaining and it was good enough and another shop that repairs BMWs told me to live with it since it was standard work and they probably had difficulty doing the repair and just wanted to get paid and move onto the next job. Caliber Collision gives a lifetime warranty on the repairs and I already brought the car in and was told that they wanted to make me happy so I would return. I'm neither returning or happy with the service. I am a general contractor. When I was younger I built fiberglass molds, worked in a body shop. I think they closed the place down because it was a chop shop. and I've applied around 50 gallons of Bondo or epoxy in my life. read more

I had my EV repaired here after it was hit by another car, leaving part of the passenger side fender smashed in. Caliber was the shop pre-approved by the other driver's car insurance, and this location of Caliber is the only Caliber location in LA that is approved to work on EVs. The entire experience at this location of Caliber was fantastic. What a relief! Jennifer at the front desk and Miguel who was in charge of repairs kept me informed throughout the process, and they took care of all communication with the insurance company. Jennifer even helped coordinate with the car rental company, so that I was just picked up by Enterprise at the Caliber location, and dropped my rental car off at Caliber after the repair was completed. The repair took about a week -- a month less than an estimate I'd received from another body shop. And the repair looks great. Highly recommend these folks. read more

I was recently rear ended and was recommended Caliber Collision through the insurance company. We all know dealing with car repairs can be a headache of a process but I am pleased to say that couldn't be farther from the truth when dealing with Caliber Collision. My entire experience with them was incredible start to finish. I worked with Miguel, Jennifer, Barbara, and Moises and they made a negative situation into a positive experience. They were so friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond. They made what typically is a stressful situation into something so easy and stress free! I was regularly updated with phone calls regarding the status of my car, and when I got my car back it was unrecognizable (in a good way)! It looked just as it did the day I drove it off the car lot. All the damage to the back was completely repaired and restored to brand new. You would never be able to guess that it was just in an accident. They even went above and beyond to fix my back up camera which was damaged in the accident as well. When I dropped off my car I've got to say I was a bit embarrassed with the state of the exterior and interior. I had been putting off giving it a good clean for a while. It was dusty and muddy on the outside and had a ton of spills, dog hair, you name it, on the interior. My car had definitely seen better days. I was told they were going to clean it up before I picked it up which I was so grateful for, but didn't expect. I was thinking they'd give it a quick hose down and light vacuum, but when I tell you they went above and beyond, they went above and beyond! My jaw dropped when I saw the car. You could never tell I have two dogs in the back of the car on a regular basis, you couldn't even tell the car had ever been driven. I swear to you it had that new car smell and was cleaned head to toe in all the cracks and crevasses. I couldn't be more grateful to Caliber Collision for turning this bad situation into a positive. It was a pleasure going through this process with them! The whole time I felt as if I was treated like family. My car was in the best hands possible. Everyone was beyond nice.
