My husband quickly discovered that Tech Connectors had deals with Costco (his home away from home) and started chatting with a sales associate, Michael, there. Michael gave him very good advice on installing the TV, as well as his new stereo system that may just cost more than my entire purse collection (and I spend a lot of $ on purses!). Michael also helped him figure out the best way to build shelves for the dvd player and tivo since we didn't have any need for an entertainment system on the wall. After a few weeks of emails over these very important matters 2 guys from tech connectors showed up and put together our brand new entertainment system! My husband was thrilled with the results (i haven't been able to move him from the couch ever since) and I have to admit the TV/stereo system looks very pretty mounted over the fire place. Who needs art work when you've got a kick ass entertainment system?

Michael Hornickel was great, answered all my questions clearly and concisely and pushed back when I was probably suggesting the wrong things. They also allowed me to buy my own materials including HDMI cables. In the end, Tech did the following: 1.) Adjusted mount on fireplace 2.) Installed mount for Yamaha soundbar 3.) Installed TV and Soundbar 4.) Took off existing component mount 5.) Installed two new mounts 6.) Installed IR repeater which allowed components to be rotated around corner 7.) Installed in wall HDMI cabling Michael was great, and so were the 2 people that came to do the work (sorry I forgot their names) They called to let me know they were running a bit behind (but they arrived well within their time window) and came in, did a great job and cleaned up all the dust and packaging. Another company I had spoken with had quoted me more than twice the price, I guess because the cameras they use are fancy or something? I don't know, because the ones Ernesto installed are great and doing precisely what I wanted. When I was on my search for home security cameras, I kept mostly finding things like ADT, SimpliSafe, or something else that was largely about selling you the monitoring plan; the equipment I think was less expensive but then you're paying for the monitoring. I am not generally a fan of the everything-is-now-a-subscription-or-service thing nor do I want to be beholden to whatever rates a company decides to charge. Some of those also were self-install options, which didn't interest me at all. They hooked up several cameras at our home to provide various views, including the basement since I wanted to be able to see what's happening down there when I'm upstairs. The system has a hard drive that can support up to eight cameras. We can save photos, videos, and also play back to see what happened earlier in the recording on the various cameras. Although they could have provided a monitor, we don't really have a place for it so we simply have an app on our phone through which we can view the cameras. I'm not sure why, but I thought it would go much more quickly than it did. I have no frame of reference to know how long it should have taken so that's not a criticism. It took about six hours total but having it done well was the most important part. I would highly the crew at 606 installs for their professionalism, reasonable rate, and excellent work.

Their price was higher than the others, but their solution to in-wall wiring was more comprehensive and flexible than any of the others. On the day, they showed up on time. They asked me a bunch of questions about where exactly I wanted the TV on the wall. They were very careful and meticulous, even about things like how to lift and move the TV, and they had no trouble with some power wiring complications related to how my TV interacts with my home automation system. They cleaned up the area nicely after the work was done.

On the phone, I was quoted that the work would be appx 275-300 dollars to complete. A quote was never emailed to me. On the day of the work, the lights were installed to satisfaction and I approached the technician about some quotes to troubleshoot an outdoor outlet that wasn't tripping as well as to take a look at quoting what it would cost to convert my garage from 15 to 20 AMP service. This took the technician appx. another 45 minutes to quote these issues (which he didn't have time to fix), yet when he brought in the final bill, I was charged a jaw dropping fee of $495. This is a significant departure from the $275-$300 that I was initially quoted, and does not reflect one additional hour of labor. (Even less than that, in reality- closer to 45 minutes.) The tech arrived at 12:00PM and completed all work at 2:38PM, timestamped on my Nest camera. The last 10-15 mins of the time he was at my house he was in his vehicle, presumably writing up an invoice. The bill also incurred a $45 service fee, which was never discussed with me over the phone. In addition, the fact that the technician would not have any ability or time to fix the outdoor outlet that was not grounding properly during my appointment was not discussed with me. I called Phil on the phone who was courteous, but unwilling to adjust the price. He stated that a $45 service fee was standard (and actually stated that I somehow had a 5 dollar discount on mine...) yet I am really struggling to figure out how this would have played a part in the initial quote of $275-300 for a job that was estimated to take approximately two hours of labor. He also stated that he could have charged me for additional screws and caulking supplies.... (This would have been a max of 15-20 dollars). Bottom line- I've had good experiences with Phil and Trinity in the past, and they seem to do good work. But charging me just under $500 to hang four outdoor lights and spend a bit of extra time calculating a plan/quote on how to address additional issues but not having time to address them has been extremely off putting and I can't help but feel taken. I did my best to have a courteous conversation with him over the phone, but again he was unwilling to budge. I've used Trinity in the past but I'm not sure I'll be consulting their services in the future or recommending them to coworkers unless we can address this. Original review: Extremely professional and prompt communication. Showed up on time and performed quality, clean work at a fair price. I will be using this company for all future electrical work.

Josiah confirmed with me what our needs/projects were, how I wanted them prioritized, and estimated what the cost including materials and labor for each project would be (very reasonable pricing by the way!) Josiah was efficient (in and out in 1 hour...and he installed 7 new hard wired smoke alarms), neat (not even so much as a wet boot print left behind), and very polite, personable and professional. Ethernet is awesome, really nice to have gaming and streaming devices directly connected. Scott found ways to run cable without cutting through drywall.
