Once he was here, we asked him his opinion on two wall switches in a different room that were not working, and he stayed longer (while I ran to Home Depot for new toggle switches) to fix both of them as well for just a little more added to our total. The fan install was a little more difficult than Ted anticipated, and it was an insane night in our home as well (my husband's car was at the shop and he needed it for work the next day so we had to get that taken care of while Ted was here working) - I'm sure he thought we were nuts, but he was very gracious and understanding about everything! The end results look great, and I am SO happy our light switches are working again - all of this was done for a third of the cost we were quoted by someone else to just do the install and paint the office ceiling (we ended up doing the painting ourselves anyway). We will definitely be calling on Ted in the future for all our other electical needs - he is knowledeable, quick, and neat. Thanks, Ted! Do not hesitate to give him a shout out if you need electrical work or wiring done.

Even though we…read morewere eager to bring our family room into the 21st century, we were pretty sure we'd never be able to afford Kole. They seemed way too sophisticated for us, with our huge, tube-TV, and cassette tape deck, LOL! But we had them out for an estimate anyway. Their prices were absolutely competitive. In addition to a flat-screen TV, we also purchased a new tuner, speakers, and Blu-Ray player. Plus, we purchased (separately) an Apple TV device which Kole was able to integrate into the system for us. Installation took hours but it was completed to absolute perfection. The guys who came out were friendly, helpful, and professional. Our family room was transformed! We're thrilled with how it looks and how the system performs. Can I just say how much we love our sub-woofer? Never realized what we were missing! Best of all, however, is Kole's customer service. I mentioned how very unsophisticated we are with regard to electronics, right? Well, as you might imagine, we had a few "Um... how does this work again?" moments as well as a few, "This stopped working, what's up?" situations. Depending on the difficulty, Kole techs either came out the next day, or worked with me over the phone to get our system back up to perfection once again. The Kole techs also offered some awesome suggestions with regard to music - with streaming and Apple and, well, stuff I never knew how to do. Now, on weekends, we crank up our Apple playlist and have a couple thousand family pictures serving as our TV screensaver. It's like having a giant photo album playing constantly. Hard to tear ourselves away! The first thing we watched on the new TV with the new sound system was the first Star Wars Trilogy. Episodes 4, 5, and 6. What better way to welcome this new technology into our lives, right? Kole has been one of the best house-related decisions we've made and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for upgrades in the future!     Budget Handyman…read more Tyler is a soft spoken guy and respectful. When I first met him he seemed trustworthy, but my experience with Tyler was not good. Therefore, I want to make some points that may help you if you are thinking of hiring him. First of all, Tyler sometimes cancelled his appointments to do work, and when he did not cancel, he was always late. I received many excuses from Tyler for why he could not come, including that he was sick with food poisoning, that he was having car problems, and that he was having problems with his phone. He was very apologetic when late, but he rarely texted or called to let me know he would be late. Furthermore, he would tell me he was going to get lunch and come back in about a half hour, only to come back close to two hours later. All of this would not have bothered me if he had completed the work adequately and there had been no other problems. I hired him to do sound proofing on a wall, and he did a good job on the wall. However, while working on the wall he accidentally got drywall mudding on the ceiling. He then attempted to fix the marks on the ceiling by painting over them. The problem was that even though he tried two shades of paint, he failed to match the color, which left me with two shades of paint on the ceiling.That's when things went wrong. I suggested it might be easier just to paint the whole ceiling since he couldn't match the color, and he responded with a text saying my ceiling was not covered in the payment and if I needed the ceiling repainted I would have to pay extra. Even worse, he claimed there were scuff marks on the ceiling that weren't his fault, despite the fact that my entire condo, including the ceiling, was painted before I moved in in March of this year. In other words, he made a mistake and then blamed me instead of fixing his mistake. Unfortunately, I had already paid him for the job at this point, and he never did fix his mistake. Please take this into consideration before you hire Tyler, so that you don't have an experience like I did.
