Update to review 11/26/24 from original 5 star review: I had Trinity back out to my home on 11/26 to replace 4 outdoor wall light fixtures. On the phone, I was quoted that the work would be appx 275-300 dollars to complete. A quote was never emailed to me. On the day of the work, the lights were installed to satisfaction and I approached the technician about some quotes to troubleshoot an outdoor outlet that wasn't tripping as well as to take a look at quoting what it would cost to convert my garage from 15 to 20 AMP service. This took the technician appx. another 45 minutes to quote these issues (which he didn't have time to fix), yet when he brought in the final bill, I was charged a jaw dropping fee of $495. This is a significant departure from the $275-$300 that I was initially quoted, and does not reflect one additional hour of labor. (Even less than that, in reality- closer to 45 minutes.) The tech arrived at 12:00PM and completed all work at 2:38PM, timestamped on my Nest camera. The last 10-15 mins of the time he was at my house he was in his vehicle, presumably writing up an invoice. The bill also incurred a $45 service fee, which was never discussed with me over the phone. In addition, the fact that the technician would not have any ability or time to fix the outdoor outlet that was not grounding properly during my appointment was not discussed with me. I called Phil on the phone who was courteous, but unwilling to adjust the price. He stated that a $45 service fee was standard (and actually stated that I somehow had a 5 dollar discount on mine...) yet I am really struggling to figure out how this would have played a part in the initial quote of $275-300 for a job that was estimated to take approximately two hours of labor. He also stated that he could have charged me for additional screws and caulking supplies.... (This would have been a max of 15-20 dollars). Bottom line- I've had good experiences with Phil and Trinity in the past, and they seem to do good work. But charging me just under $500 to hang four outdoor lights and spend a bit of extra time calculating a plan/quote on how to address additional issues but not having time to address them has been extremely off putting and I can't help but feel taken. I did my best to have a courteous conversation with him over the phone, but again he was unwilling to budge. I've used Trinity in the past but I'm not sure I'll be consulting their services in the future or recommending them to coworkers unless we can address this. Original review: Extremely professional and prompt communication. Showed up on time and performed quality, clean work at a fair price. I will be using this company for all future electrical work. read more

Today was the second time I've used Trinity Electrical and again it's the second time I've had a great experience. Josiah Solecki was the electrician that came out to do the work today. He was right on time for our appointment. Josiah confirmed with me what our needs/projects were, how I wanted them prioritized, and estimated what the cost including materials and labor for each project would be (very reasonable pricing by the way!) Josiah was efficient (in and out in 1 hour...and he installed 7 new hard wired smoke alarms), neat (not even so much as a wet boot print left behind), and very polite, personable and professional. I could not be more pleased with this company. Their pricing and the level of professionalism are wonderful. I will continue to use them each and every time I need electrical services. Nothing but great things to say about these guys. Right off the bat you can tell they hold themselves to a very high standard. I have used their services on 2 separate occasions. Both were for electrical needs. Experience 1. I need a ceiling fan installed from scratch. They were very flexible in fitting into my busy schedule. They competed the work as promised. I brought up a few concerns with the project and the owner Phil practically tripped over himself in order to make sure I was 100% satisfied. Great follow through all the way around. Now my 2 year old can stay cool during his nap time. Experience 2. Was a larger sized electrical project. And again, from the get go you can tell they take great pride in what they do. Josiah was my technician and he completed a large amount of work in expert fashion. Straight lines and clean work area when finished. It was a pleasure to deal with Phil at Trinity. We had a major project to do in our backyard shed and another minor project in the front of the house. Phil delivered the quote and Jose and his team of men were out here to do the work the following week; in the 90+ degree heat. When the job was finished, they cleaned up and asked us to take a walk through before they left. Very refreshing to find a company where the employees DO care about the work they do! Decent job. However does not warn you of potential upside charges on common things until the appointment time. At appointment time is when they throw in a few more hundred of costs when it's not likely for owner to look for someone else. And this is for simple tweaks like sealing a sump pump. I would not call that decent business. Would not use it recommend them unfortunately. read more

My circuit-breaker was sparking so I was in full panic mode. Figured out how to kill the power without killing myself and googled "Naperville electrician". Trinity Electrical was one of the first companies returned in the search. Didn't immediately see any Yelp reviews but, their site looked pretty professional (not a good gauge of actual skills but, I had to use something). I called and the phone was immediately answered. I wasn't happy to learn that I had to wait until the next day but, I did call at 3pm so, it was understandable. I was told that someone would be at my home between 0800 and 0900. Sure enough the next day, Josiah and his partner were at my door at 0845. I showed them the circuit breaker box as well as where I thought the problem was. Within 10 minutes they identified the two problematic breakers and had them replaced. Problem solved. I appreciate the shoe-booties they wore to keep external dust and dirt out of my home..............even though with it being a Friday the house was in need of cleaning anyways. The cost was EXTREMELY reasonable, only cost me $206. VERY HAPPY with these guys and their work. read more

I see my previous review has been removed from here so I am going to make this one even more accurate because the owner Phil called me this afternoon. We called and requested to have 6 ceiling fans installed, smoked detectors looked at, and a broken three way switch looked at. All things discussed prior to services being rendered. The company charges a flat rate of $245 to install the electrical boxes for the ceiling and starting at $45 to install the ceiling fan (pending complexity). Did not offer a price on looking at the smoke detectors. Did not offer a price on looking at the three way switch. We also asked about a few other miscellaneous things and quickly rejected them due to price. We received our invoice and noticed a $108 charge for fixing our three way switch. My wife was frustrated beyond belief and just signed off on the invoice and left. Today Phil calls me and more or less toots his horn on how he has been in business for 30 years and says that someone had to have signed off on the three way switch to have him look at it and I said we never discussed the price on it. His exact words and I quote "we use a national average and we could not tell you a price but to look at the switch it starts off at $150 per hour." So I said why didn't they say it in the first place and he said well someone was competent enough to be in the house when they replaced the switch so you should have just told him not to do it. It was a 10 minute fix, I didn't know we had to watch them like a hawk and instruct them what to do even though they communicated everything else to us they failed to commute the price of the three way switch. Steve continues to tell me that it wasn't working and now it does so problem solved you just don't want to pay us $108 for services you signed off on. Once again Steve we never discussed the price and if we did we wouldn't have agreed to it. Moral of the story. For a con-artist company like this, make sure you get price quotes for everything and watch them like a hawk. read more

I found Trinity by actually coming to Yelp, after wanting to look for another company that could come out sooner than the one my realtor recommended. I am so glad that I found Trinity! Over the phone when I went to receive my quote, they were extremely friendly and more knowledgable than the previous company I called. My radon level was 21.7 and I was freaking out since I am pregnant. They were able to answer all my question over the phone and actually ended up being $200 cheaper than the other company. Today Josh came out to install the mitigation system, 3 days after I called. He was EXTREMELY professional, knowledgable, and friendly! He explained everything step by step which I really appreciated. They also helped seal my sump pump cracks and the bath rough in which could have been aiding in my high level! Josh and Trinity were fabulous!!! I can't say enough!! I'm telling my realtor that this is the company to definitely recommend instead! Everything was done so professionally and tagged perfectly! Have used this company on two occasions. The first time was to clean out my dryer exhaust lines and remove a bird's nest from the vent on my old house. They did an excellent job and even took the time to clean all of the bird mess from my siding outside of the house. The second time was to add outlets to my basement in my new house.
