BMF remodeled our entire home in 4 separate projects over 3 years. Bought the house new and while…read moreit was in great shape everything was dated and bathroom layouts weren't optimal. Got quotes from 4 contractors initially, with the intent to update the house over time without borrowing from the mortgage. Only 2 contractors actually quoted the projects as requested and we selected BMF because Matt understood what our goal was and offered great ways to make big improvements within budget. BMF always delivered on time and exceeded expectations. If you are looking to make updates, here are a few improvements BMF made to our home: Gutted all bathrooms and rebuilt to utilize the space more efficiently but also look amazing: walk-in curbless shower, porcelain tile floors, Pinterest-worthy wall tile layouts Refinished outdated honey oak flooring Replaced carpet with new oak flooring stained to match newly refinished oak downstairs; LVP oak floors upstairs Updated builder grade fireplace with floor to ceiling stacked stone and expanded hearth Replaced and upgraded all wood trim, casings and stairway balusters I've heard so many horror stories about contractors, especially while everyone is working from home and making improvements. BMF is the exception - there was always at least one, sometimes 4, crews working from start to finish and the owner was accessible at all times.

Do NOT pay until every last thing is finished. I was sent my final invoice before the job was done…read moreand trusted they would still finish and payed. Do not trust their word that they will make it back out. I reached out multiple times, was told "I'll have a guy come out Friday" on 3 separate occasions, and it now I'm a zero responses from them. I have been left with a half painted window and unclean job site. I will call that my mistake but it does show the integrity of this company. I wrongfully assumed that spending the amount of money we did came with integrity and customer appreciation. Maybe that's extra. ($70k+) We hired them to put a moderate sized addition off the back of our master bedroom on a ranch house. As soon as I made the final payment I was not able to get anyone out. -we were suppose to get black windows but they installed white. When it was brought up they told me they would paint them and have yet to complete that task. - they never returned to finish cleaning up the job site and fix all the dirt the moved away for the foundation.

The basement at this time was only two weeks old. I'm extremely upset with the way this company does business stay away from them is all I can tell you. They didn't paint areas just left with drywall mud said had to order paint we will be back. the floor had paint and stair glue all over the quality of work was really missed on touchups and other things like doors not closing or out of alignment. the owner John was not a good person at end of job was using profanity towards me when I would ask about Warranty work

The house originally was built with a one car garage and the owner prior to me added an additional 2 car garage onto that and then transformed the original garage into a rec room. I was stuck with this terrible space with ugly carpeting, poor paneling a pitched floor and mold! I received a referral for a family owned remodeling business and called them to come over for an estimate. I also received an estimate from another reference and since the numbers came in close I didnt know who to choose. A fancy builder behind a big name for a few dollars more, or a local independant. Coming from a small business family myself I decided to choose the similar. Quality home service came in and tore the place apart, removed the mold and transformed this space from ugly and useless to perfect and practical. They brought the vision of my babys first bedroom to reality for me with even more ideas then I had ever thought of. From electrical and cable outlets high up on side walls for a future flat screen, to a built in bench that opens for storage, Fred thought of it all. He even met me at the home depot to choose the perfect closet system. I couldnt be happier with my decision to go with this company. My only regret is that I didnt call them sooner!

Superb communication. Great results. Fair price. Would hire again…read more Our project was a subfloor repair in our upstairs bathroom. This meant a demo of wood, demo of tile, new carpentry, new tile, reinstall of a fixture, additional pipe, and new baseboards. We decided (without any pressure for add-ons) to extend the work to the whole bathroom floor instead of just the localized area. So our results feel like not just a repair, but a remodel. Things that stood out: Communication - We felt the main point of contact, Anthony, was clear and helpful through the whole process. This is true of every crew member we interactacted with as well. Questions were answered patiently, things were explained clearly, we new what to expect next, there were no overpromises. Everyone that came into our home was respectful. Our input was sought at appropriate times, and we were shown progress consistently. Execution - Everyone seemed competent and capable of the tasks at hand. The results look good, feel good, and inspire confidence. If there was a mess made, it was promptly cleaned up. If there was a concern, it was handled appropriately. Initially I was a little skeptical of the proposed timeline but after seeing the work in action it made sense and was accurate. I would advise any others to just be ready to communicate a little, and inspect the results at each stage, since there might be use of different crews for one stage or another. It felt like a smooth project overall, with a little touchup at the end. Also, someone cleaned our bathroom sink. Didn't even ask for that!

There were a few items that didn't make it into the original scope of work, and Anthony took care of them without any additional cost. Any change orders I requested were handled professionally and without issue. The project came in on budget and on timeline, and they were also great about offering suggestions and options to help keep costs down. His quote was on the lower end of the others we received, and the quality of work was excellent, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I highly recommend Anthony and his team.

This is a story of a leaky shower. After literally years of hiring various well regarded plumbers…read moreand handymen to try to remedy it, it always leaked again - usually in less than a year. When mold showed through the ceiling of the room below the shower and the mold remediation contractor cut through the ceiling it was clear we needed to consider replacing the shower and much of the subfloor. Serious perusing of reviews on yelp led me to JRW. Just one phone call made me hopeful. First they re- grouted the shower pan/wall connection so it could be used until they had an opening in their schedule a few weeks away to replace the shower. Finally the big day came. Joel (the owner) sent me photos (it was a tenant occupied home) everyday and explained every step of the way what needed to be done and how much it would cost. He respected my decisions. He also picked out materials subject to my approval - and I always said yes because his choices were excellent as well as in budget. I had been concerned of the impact of a big project with workers in and out every day for a week or so on the tenants. I needn't have worried, the day after it was complete the tenant emailed me unsolicited and said that the workers did a great job: excellent workmanship, seemed trustworthy, respectful of the tenants and house, cleaned up everything and though they hope no more issues arise, they said if workers are ever needed there again they would hope it's the crew from JRW. Two small issues arose unrelated to this project (sticky door and gutter issue) and Joel took care of them for a minor charge. Most mom and pop landlords will tell you- the dreaded call from a tenant that something is broken causes you a few minutes of angst trying to figure out who to call to get it fixed. Now that I know about JRW, I won't feel that worry anymore.

Joel, Ed, and the others are a pleasure to work with. The first job was a master bath remodel, which came out beautiful. A few years later they replaced our 2 sliding patio doors and went the extra mile when they found out that the wood under one of them was rotted. At that time, they also repaired our ceiling which was damaged when our roof leaked. Earlier this year, they replaced a shower surround and kitchen sink. I recommend them!
