If not for the "ValPak" coupon mailer that comes to the house and my wife flipping through them, I would never have thought to call them up. My A/C and Furnace were reaching the end of their life (approx 18-20yrs old). Both did the job, but given our relatively mild winter and the break between seasons, I decided to shop for a deal to see if I could get everything replaced before experiencing a breakdown and needing an emergency service. I had a couple of quotes done from other companies that lasted 20-30 minutes and I felt pretty good about, but when Frank showed up he let me know that his visit would take at least an hour. He explained that he had some questions about the home, what we're looking to accomplish, etc. He also spent the time to measure the home, take notice of the window orientation, duct setup, attic space, furnace location, and all the other little details. Once done he calculated what we would need and provided some basic efficiency options as well as additional upgrades. The quote came out higher compared to one of their competitors and Frank was open with the conversation and helped me to compare the Bryant units they offered to the Lennox from the competitor. He even helped us lock down some affordable financing options with 0% same as cash (the other company didn't). Frank ended up spending until after 7pm at our Thursday night when he could have been home (over an hour away) with his family. Tyler from the installation crew called me the next day to confirm the appointment for Saturday morning and asked if they could come as early as 7am. At 7am on Saturday, I met with Jacob, showed him around the space, and he went to work laying drop cloth to protect the floors and then on getting the old system out. Once Tyler showed up to assist, they both worked hard until about 4:30pm on converting the whole system. The previous homeowner was a "DIY" or always worked to find the cheapest contractor so while performing the install, they handled those "surprises" well and worked to make sure that they could undo anything he did that was incorrect or didn't make sense. Again, so happy that I didn't start on yelp, otherwise I probably wouldn't have given them a call. As this is Day1 with the new system, I will be sure to keep an eye out and take advantage of the warranty on their work should any issues arrive.

I called the dispatch.... they said they would send a tech back.....and to wait for a call. I wait until 8pm and called them over and over.... they apologized all over the place but had no way of contacting anyone. The customer service people are merely there to answer the phone.... that is it.... they cannot contact anyone.... just send emails and cross their fingers they get an answer. I wait by the phone until about 9pm and then called back and they apologized more and said I was first on the list for tomorrow Am.... Tomorrow AM... No calls.... no repair guy....I start calling.... on hold for 15 minutes at a time... finally start getting these poor c customer service guys again..... Every repair guy they have "working" that day is not answering. Probably all curled up in bed all cozy in their air conditioned homes while I am sweating my butt off in an 82 degree house. After about 11 Am I called a different local company- Standley Heating & Cooling out of Romeoville. The guy showed up within a half an hour.... changed the fuse... checked everything.... showed me what the tech from the other day did and didn't do.... the A/C has been running perfectly ever since. What did he charge ? It was under $25.....!!! He then gave me his cell # and told me to call him if anything happens again....... I called Perfect Home again... sat on hold for a long time again.... Once I got a live person I cancelled everything again... all appointments- maintenance memberships everything!!!! NEVER EVER EVER do business with Perfect Home solutions!!! I gave them a bad review years ago when they scammed my parents for a 15K furnce A/c system that broke 6 months after installation and they couldn't be bothered to fix it for a week! They exits solely to rip off senior citizens and the elderly selling their crappy memberships and lying. Oh and by the way..... ALL THEIR REPAIRMEN STOP WRKONG AT 4-ISH ON THE WEEK DAYS and they DO NOT WORK SUNDAYS.... they CLAIM they do... but they do not..... they also don;t answer their customer service representative's messages and I don;t think their dispatch answers either. I've reported them to the Better Business Bureau again.... right now it says they have a good rating.... that has got to be some sort of scam they pulled as well.... either that or the better business bureau is a joke. I have also contacted some friends at NBC News here in Chicago and ABC NEWS scam stoppers. They love nailing these heating a/c scam companies! They set up a bunch of service calls and set up hidden cameras all over the place when the repair guys get there!!! They record the scams and the lies and report it later! if ever there was a company that needed this it is Perfect Home Solutions. I guess both networks have been doing scam investigations on these guys for a while now! When I told my one friend I said I didn;t want to make waves.... but when she told me they have been putting together an expose on this rotten company I gave them all the info I had. We have to protect people from crap like this and help promote the small business owner that wants only to prove themselves. They're not BBB accredited, cannot communicate over several days, and overall has been a nightmare to work with. They immediately evaluated my entire HVAC system and due to age and condition it was deemed it would be most beneficial to replace both the furnace and A/C unit along with my water heater; they were all 30 yrs old. The entire work crew was professional and courteous and completed the work in a timely manner. They also cleaned my entire duct system and clothes dryer venting and showed me before and after photos - WOW...what a difference!! I'm so thankful they were available to assist me, and they were more than honest and helpful in this unfortunate situation.
