After having our contractor pull out a glaringly mismatched pure-white trim, we were trying to keep things moving without compromising on the final look. We needed something that worked with our alabaster/ivory tile and Mapei Alabaster grout--and fast. We were immediately and thoroughly helped by the owner, who was not only knowledgeable but incredibly validating. She confirmed my instincts about the white-white trim looking cheap against our tile, even mentioning she doesn't stock it for that exact reason! I had started to feel like I was being too picky or difficult, but she reassured me I wasn't--and that meant a lot. She had multiple alternatives that looked significantly better, and she made a confident, trustworthy recommendation. She knew my tile, was familiar with the grout color, and--miracle of miracles--had exactly what we needed in stock and ready to go. We were bracing ourselves for a big expense, but the price was fair, and the experience was honestly a relief. We found the exact right piece, on the spot, without any drama. We'll absolutely be back--and recommending them to anyone we know doing tile work!

This was a supremely satisfying business experience. During our 44 years of marriage, my wife and I…read morehave purchased seven homes in three States and dealt with many home service providers. Our experience with Maria and her employees at European Stone & Tile ranks with the very best. My wife and I walked in the door of European Stone seeking ideas and help with modernizing a kitchen that was last updated about 20 years ago. The last update created one serious flaw we discovered when we replaced the dishwasher. The dishwasher and stove are at 90 degrees to each other and 12" apart limiting the available stoves to only a few and none of those appealed to us. We had given up on replacing our appliances but decided to just update the surfaces. Then we met Maria. She came to our home and measured our kitchen then asked us to come to her showroom to see the choices we'd have in surfaces. We had replaced carpets last year and she showed us things that fit well with our other rooms and surfaces. We chose those we liked and set the dates for the work. After sleeping on the project I decided that the dishwasher had to be moved before we did the countertops. I discussed this with Maria the morning her carpenter arrived expecting to perform an hour task to remove a breadbox that was fastened to the old counter. I called the office and asked Maria to take on moving the sink base to the space occupied by the dishwasher and replumbing the water lines and drains to work with the new layout. This was a significant last-minute change that would have caused other suppliers I've worked with in the past to have emotional meltdowns. Not Maria. She took a minute to consider what she could do and then told me in a cheerful voice, "It won't be a problem. I'll need to rearrange our schedule, but we can do it!" She asked me to hand the phone to her carpenter (Ron) and she asked him to take on the job. Fortunately, it turned out that Ron is a Master Carpenter and former General Contractor capable of doing the electrical and plumbing work. He removed the old countertops, opened the walls and rerouted the plumbing and electrical, restored the walls, moved the old sink base to its new location and assisted in creating the template for the new countertops. His craftsmanship matches the finest we've experienced. Ron managed to complete this major work revision inside the original schedule, so that our kitchen was completed, including new countertops and tile, on the day we were originally promised. In addition to Ron, six other European craftspeople (counter installers, plumber, tile setter) came to our home to perform work. Every one of them was cheerful and friendly. They were considerate of my wife and I and involved us in decisions whenever their work options were not obvious. They never left the worksite without cleaning the area and left no construction residue inside or outside our home. Their completed work is of the highest quality suitable for custom homes. We also had contact with staff in the showroom/store that matched the considerate and friendly concern for customer experience. This level of care for us as homeowners was unusual in our experience and we attribute it to Maria's leadership as the business owner. She has chosen and trained her staff well. My wife and I are very pleased that we chose to do business with European Stone and Tile and we recommend their work to anyone planning kitchen or bath work.

Absolutely atrocious. The shower started leaking after one week. We had evidence of a leak, but…read morethey refused to address it. Water leaked underneath the tile and into the floorboards in the bathroom as well as into the floorboards in the hallway under the carpet. When asked about it, they said the deformed trim was from leaving the door open or a wet towel dripping. After their "professional" work on the shower, some tiles were already chipped. A woman came after we told them and she said we could "touch it up with some nail polish" if we find the right color. Laughable. They only give a 1 year warranty. They don't guarantee their work and they have no interest in helping customers when they comment on their work. If I could give zero stars I would. Do not go to them. I am shocked that they're still in business.

Drew, Alex, and Kate were all outstanding from start to finish. They were fair, clear, and upfront about scope, timeline, and budget from the very first walkthrough. No surprises, no hidden costs, no vague answers. When we asked detailed questions about framing, tile installation, and material compatibility, they answered with confidence and honesty -- including telling us when something wouldn't work or wasn't worth the spend. That kind of transparency is rare. The design documentation alone set them apart. Kate put together detailed material specifications, as-built plans, new floor plans, tile wall elevations, and full-color mood boards before a single tile was laid. Everything was organized, professional, and gave us complete clarity on what the finished rooms would look like. It made decision-making so much easier and eliminated the anxiety that comes with a major renovation. What impressed us most was how collaborative the entire process felt. Drew and Alex weren't just executing a plan -- they were thinking alongside us, offering suggestions that elevated the design, flagging potential issues before they became problems, and making sure every detail was right. They treated our home with respect and our vision with care. I did EXTENSIVE research before hiring Eastside Kitchen & Bath. They exceeded expectations. No crazy/scary remodel stories you hear -- if you have an older home in Seattle and want a team that understands the character of these houses while delivering a high-quality result -- Eastside Kitchen & Bath is who you want. We couldn't recommend Drew, Alex, Kate and the entire crew more highly.
