Fantastic little cafe in Summerville. As a huge coffee crazy person, I'm always looking for new local places. Plus I never had Ecuadorian coffee. So this place is whole new experience. The shop is family own. They sell Ecuadorian pastry and coffee. Has outside sitting too. With weather hopefully getting better soon, it would be perfect nook to hang out. Pastry was delicious and coffee was wonderful. If you're an Ethiopian coffee person like me, this coffee would make an impression. They also have points program where you can sign up for points each time you make a purchase. I am happy to see more non traditional, family oriented shops coming to town. read more

This is quickly my favorite coffee spot in town. Augusta has needed more actual local coffee that doesn't try to be Starbucks. Most if not everything here is made in house and top quality. I got my usual, an iced mocha, and it's early one of the best I've had. My husband likes their Rosella tea drink. I've had their some of their food as well and it's perfect. Everyone here is so kind and thoughtful. They always take time to explain their menu and specials for the day and are also pleasant to talk to in general. Not pet friendly in the slightest! Prices are way too high to be treated so rudely even when dinning outside! Updated response: 1.) he is a puppy and hardly 40 lbs. 2.) we were only leaving him there to order food and then come right back 3.) there was not a single other person there or even nearby (we know because we walked there and there wasn't a single person coming or going into the facility. Certainly not in the time it would take us to order a coffee) 4.) we could see the dog through the window for the 30 seconds we were inside 5.) you were rude about it 6.) don't waste you're money here. I love this place. It's that simple. It's bright, clean, and welcoming inside, with coffee so flavorful, fresh, and full, I'm already planning what drink I'll try on my next visit. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted kindly by the staff and asked if I had been here before. The barista pointed me to the menu (they're right next to the entrance) and let me know she was available for any questions. I ordered a crafted drink (Andino) and a sandwich (Ronda). The Andino was amazing. With espresso, panela syrup, and cashew milk, it was a great balance - full, rich, and sweet but not too sweet. The taste of the Ecuadorian coffee shined. Of all the coffee shops I've tried in Augusta, this coffee has been the best. Of course, the sandwich was amazing too. The Ronda had rosemary ham, plenty of goat cheese, and basil on delicate house made focaccia. The flavors worked so well together. Overall, Relic's menu is so unique and authentic to Ecuadorian culture, which sets it apart from other coffee shops in the area. And I can't stress enough how welcoming and kind the staff were. I wouldn't necessarily consider this a place to hunker down with a group and work/study for hours on end- there isn't a large amount of indoor seating. But it is the perfect place to take a moment, sit, rest, and enjoy your drinks and food, either alone or with some friends. I will be returning to relax outside under their patio with another delicious crafted coffee. read more

My husband and I had the best little coffee and breakfast date here a few weeks ago. We split the sierra sandwich which was so good and fresh. Both of us found a new favorite drink with the coffee con leche! It's soo good and not too sweet! My wife and I had a terrible experience at this coffee shop this morning. The owner was incredibly rude. To start, we have visited this coffee shop with our dog multiple times. However, this morning the owner seemed to have a problem. We decided to go get a morning coffee. We walked there with our puppy and arrived shortly after them opening. Bear in mind, the temperature outside was in the low 40s. Once we arrived, my wife went inside to get a menu, and she handed me one while I waited outside with our dog in the cold. After looking over the menu, I wanted to see what the food options were this morning, so I hooked our dog briefly to their bench on their patio to step inside out of the cold, see the food options, and place a quick order. Bear in mind, we are the only two customers in this coffee shop at the time. The owner then rudely proceeded to tell me and my wife that we couldn't leave our dog unattended even though we were placing a short order, it was low 40s outside, we had been there multiple times, and they had a large window that we could see our dog in the 2 minutes it would take to place an order. He said that he didn't want other customers to be scared of the dog. I responded that we were just wanting to place a quick order and we would happily go back outside to grab our dog and enjoy our coffees outside. He responded even more rude this time that we absolutely couldn't leave our dog unattended to place the order and we had to go back out to grab our dog. After the rude response and way we were treated, my wife and I left to take our business elsewhere. Do not waste your time or money visiting this coffee shop. The owner decided to drive the business away of the only 2 customers in the coffee shop at that time. Also, he was incredibly rude doing it. We simply wanted to place a quick order out of the cold. If you claim to be dog friendly but we can't bring our dog inside and can't leave our dog outside to order, how in the world are we supposed to order and how are you supposedly dog friendly? Your business didn't even offer to come take our orders outside if the dog being left unattended was that big of a deal. You have now lost two loyal customers and assuredly will lose many more customers for your lack of customer service and rudeness. It would be one thing if your service or coffee or food justified the rudeness and exorbitant prices; however, the food is poor, the coffee is overpriced, and your attitude toward customers seems on par with a poorly run fast food business. We will ensure those in this area do not give your coffee shop business. read more

When I drive for almost two hours to go here for a treat, you know it's good. It's become a little, fun road trip for my Mom and me. All the food items, both savory and sweet, NEVER disappoint - quality ingredients, for sure. Relic Coffee Company is a great little café in Augusta. The coffee is good, and you can tell that the owners put in a lot of hard work designing the café. The fun furniture, exposed wood and stone, paired with white and black painted walls made for an exceptional ambiance. I've been meaning to stop by this place for a while and SO glad I did. It's a cozy cute place with a great vibe. All of the staff were super sweet. I got the recommended drink and pastry (Colada Morada + Gusanito) and they were both fantastic. I'm writing this review as I sit here waiting on the same order the very next day it was THAT good. :) I also had their pizza bomba which was just as delicious! wow. Relic was an experience like no other, I was expecting to walk into relic, and grab a coffee but I received so much more than that. The customer service is exceptional, they took time to walk me through the menu and explain the alternate milks and syrups that they have to offer which they all make it house. the coffee was amazing, as well as there Sierra sandwich. It was very apparent that relic has really focused on perfecting their art and what they are doing in the coffee space. I really really enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be returning.
