Had me back on the road in 2.5 hours after just showing up in trouble. Hats off to Christopher. It would have been 4 stars for advantage chevy, but pump was covered under warranty Great !! BAD NEWS IS THAT A FUEL FILTER AND AIR FILTER COST ME 571.00 DOLLARS THATS RIGHT !!! NOT A TYPO... Christopher gets 5 stars and to be honest the dealer would get 2 on pricing .

We recently drove almost two hours to Advantage Chevy to look at a Chevy Traverse. While it turned…read moreout to be our mistake that the model we viewed was front-wheel drive instead of all-wheel drive (a dealbreaker for us), our experience at the dealership was still outstanding. We worked with Gary Summers, and I can honestly say he is the best car salesman I've ever dealt with. Gary spent over an hour with us, walking the lot, answering questions, and even pulling a used Jeep L for us to compare side-by-side with the Traverse. He was patient, thorough, and made sure we had the opportunity to weigh the features we liked and didn't like. Thanks to his help, we ultimately realized the Traverse isn't the right fit for us and are now considering a different brand or possibly another Jeep. What stood out most about Gary was that he never came across as pushy or commission-driven. Instead, he was informative, respectful of our needs, and genuinely invested in helping us make the best decision. He even explained that the Jeep on the lot would be going to auction soon, making sure we knew our options without pressuring us. Although we didn't end up purchasing this time, we left very impressed with the level of service we received. If we find a vehicle that fits our needs at Advantage Chevy, we wouldn't hesitate to return. I highly recommend asking for Gary if you're shopping here--you won't be disappointed.

Buyer Beware: Deceptive Pricing and Classic Dealership Games…read moreWe drove two hours from Wisconsin to inspect an advertised pre-owned truck at Advantage Chevrolet of Bolingbrook. After calling ahead, the dealership explicitly assured us the vehicle would be prepped and ready for a test drive upon our arrival. Roughly 40 minutes before we arrived, a salesman named Raul Rosales called to inform us the truck was actually off-site at a detail shop. Because we were already over an hour into the trip, we agreed to go with Raul to the detail shop to inspect it. The truck had only 12,000 miles and appeared to be in great shape. To save time, we decided to head back to the dealership to work through the numbers while waiting for the truck to be brought back. That is when the experience devolved into a masterclass in classic dealership runarounds. We gave Raul an initial price we were willing to pay, initiating a tedious cycle of endless back-and-forth waiting. When he returned saying they could meet our price, I noticed a forced "protection plan" added to the breakdown. I insisted it be removed, so off he went. When he returned, I spotted a separate $900 detailing fee that was actually illegal to add on. Exhausted from the long drive and over an hour and a half of dealer games, Raul finally left to set up the final documents. We then waited another 30 to 40 minutes for the truck to return from the detail shop so we could finally test drive it. While the vehicle drove well, completing the purchase took another half hour, including a requirement to unlock our TransUnion credit report even though we were paying in full by check. Finally, we met with finance manager Tim Hosek to sign. What followed was a heavy pitch for extended warranties, followed by a rushed signing process where the final figures were glossed over completely without a transparent line-item breakdown. The following day, I thoroughly audited the paperwork. To my dismay, I discovered we were charged $1,928 above our agreed-upon price, along with an extra $275 artificially added to the licensing fees. I have attempted to call Tim and dealership management to resolve this discrepancy, but they refuse to return my calls. I have now filed a formal complaint with the Illinois Attorney General Consumer Complaint Portal and the Better Business Bureau. If you're financing through this dealership, double-check every single line item before you sign. Their primary strategy is steering your attention toward the monthly payment figure while quietly padding the back end with hidden dealer fees, mandatory "protection plans," and shell-game price increases. Because interest rates and loan terms can easily disguise hundreds--or even thousands--of dollars in tacked-on costs, make sure you demand a itemized, line-by-line total cash price breakdown. Do not sign or rely on verbal promises until every single fee matches what you explicitly agreed to pay.

From the time I drove the car off the lot it has had engine problems. There was NO disclosure of these issues at the time of purchase. They sold me a bogus warranty that doesn't cover anything. I tried to work with these scammers to fix the issue and they have refused, even to the point of blocking my calls. The car is still having those same issues. When I first contacted them, they said they will pay a portion of any repair fees but all they cared about was making money on the deal and not doing what was right for the customer. Needless to say, I never got ANY check from them either.

I'm extremely disappointed with Firestone's handling of my warranty situation. I purchased tires…read morefrom Firestone under the 90-day buy-and-try satisfaction guarantee, which clearly states that I should be able to return or exchange the tires if I'm not satisfied. Here's the problem: I tried to return them three separate times within the 90-day window, but every time I went in, they didn't have the tire in stock. I was told to come back later, and each time, they still didn't have it. Now I'm just six days past the 90-day period, and they're telling me the warranty no longer applies--despite the fact that it was Firestone's own inventory and scheduling issues that caused the delay in the first place. This is not just frustrating--it feels dishonest. I played by the rules. I made multiple good-faith attempts to resolve this within the warranty period. Now Firestone is hiding behind a technicality that they created. If this is how they stand by their "satisfaction guarantee," then it's clear that the warranty is more of a marketing tactic than a real promise. This is the kind of experience that makes customers lose trust. I'm asking Firestone to do the right thing and honor the warranty. If they don't, I'll make sure others know to think twice before relying on their guarantees.

The price was very reasonable. Unlike other shops like Midas that told me to fix part of the problem myself, which is completely ridiculous, he handled everything so my car drives straight now. They did it very quickly too I called ahead and had everything done while I waited in just about an hour to an hour and a half. I will definitely come back again. Huge thanks to Joshua for showing where is the leak at!
