They told me the car would get pulled into the garage in twenty minutes. About an hour later they pull my car in. My car is EXTREMELY common, so I thought diagnosis would be quick. Three and a half hours later, they said it was my hose and my brake pads (who would've thought). Here's the kicker, they wanna charge me $880 for replacing all four rotors and pads, and $40 for a brake bleed to fix the squishy brakes. Ideal Tire (literally across the street) quoted me at $550 for the same service. Save your time and money, go to Ideal Tire.

When I took my car into the dealership for a check engine light, it turned into a high priced nightmare. So I decided to look for quotes to fix the needed repairs. Not only did they quote me $2,000 less than the dealership, they also offered me rental car at no additional charge. Because I was a first time customer they also offered me a discount. When I arrived at the shop everyone was so nice and knowledgeable! Willy was amazing, explained everything to me and reassured me that they would take care of everything. And they did !!! So professional, so nice and very fair pricing. Thank you for everything guys !! If I ever need anything else, I will be back!! Customer for life ! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

THE CARS (FEAT. MIKE + THE MECHANICS)…read more Like a greatest hits CD I'll never tire of hearing, speedy auto service at a fair price is music to my ears. Okay, so it's actually BILL + the mechanics who run a tight ship here at the Grease Monkey on Normantown Rd. This is an A-Team of friendly professionals that can handle almost any job, big or small. They can guarantee an oil change in under 30 minutes. Some sh*t happened to my poor Mazda a couple months ago and I had to have it towed for repair. Although it took a few days, they were able to replace a new ball joint and they charged me a reasonable amount for parts & labor. Fast forward to now, and I'm getting a standard oil & filter change. When they rang me up, I mentioned that the owner had said he'd "help me out" next time I came in. At first I got some blank stares, but after a few minutes of deliberation they came back and dropped the price from $101 to $86. This beat the $5 off online coupon, so I'm glad I asked. I'm not sure they topped off any fluids (brake, wiper) and my car's interior definitely hadn't been vacuumed. I already knew their car wash was out-of-order, so I didn't expect a sparkling exterior. On the other hand....I'd much rather save 15% on my bill and clean the car on my own time. * TL;DR * Honest, thorough, and they'll have you back on the road in a jiffy. If you need car work done, head over to Grease Monkey in Romeoville, not the Bolingbrook location on Boughton (who once fed me some pretty glaring misinformation about my broken-down car, requiring it to get towed a second time). As others have mentioned, Bill is a genuine dude. His team works TIRE-lessly to provide solid customer service, and in an industry where tons of people are overcharged and taken advantage of, you won't encounter that here. Great experience, I'll definitely encourage my wife and others to bring their business to this Grease Monkey.
