I took my Buick Lucerne in for an oil change and told the receptionist to make sure the tires were…read moreinflated to 35 psi per Discount Tire where I purchased the newer Michelin tires ($700 purchase). They need 35 psi in the winter because the rims are aluminum and cause the tires to lose air in the extreme cold. Within two and half weeks, I received a warning from Onstar that my tires were at 28 psi with one at 27 psi. They did not lose all that air in that amount of time but were not inflated properly per my request. I took in my older Chevy Malibu which had dashboard lights going on including check engine light and service engine soon light. The tachometer was also not working. Auto Zone read the codes for FREE and I took that printout in with the car. They kept the car for three days. All they did was clear the codes, did not fix the tachometer and by the time I went a mile away from VIP toward Rt. 30, the check engine light was on! This car is older but always well taken care of and garage kept. No attention to detail plus I was charge $99 for nothing vs. Auto Zone putting the car on their computer to test for codes for free. I will not be back to VIP ever.

(Watch out... those fire hydrants come out of nowhere ) 11k worth of damage. These guys took the time to explain everything to me, they worked with insurance, they started ordering parts before insurance approved it and once SF gave the ok, these guys were ready to work on it. They kept in touch with me every step of the way and they were so very nice. They were way ahead of schedule, washed and waxed my car and on the day it was ready for pick up, I had a hard time getting out to them so they dropped the car off AT MY HOUSE a half hour away, on a SATURDAY. (Who does that?!) They are family owned and it's very apparent that they actually CARE. They did amazing work. Thank you guys, Kevin, so very much. They advised me that to get into the trans and change that, they should replace the whole transmission for a couple hundred more, otherwise they couldn't guarantee the work. And they charged $150 for this "diagnosis". They wanted thousands of dollars for a new transmission, and I was stuck because I couldn't take the emissions test to renew my plates with a check engine light on. Brought it to Tony's Transmissions, and he replaced the sensor in a few days for a few hundred dollars. I can't remember the exact amount because I paid cash and it was about a year ago, but I just saw his business pop up when I was doing a search and remembered that I should have left him a review back then. He really did great work. Check engine light was off, car passed emissions, and we drove it for another year before selling it a friend for his teenage son. Car is still running strong.
