Some times it don't wanna idle and hard starts. Took it back, said it was the idle to low. Okay he adjusted the idle cables for me(no charge) awesome right? Still having the same issues though, now I can't get a call back or him to even tell me to bring the bike. Although he did tell me the next step is a dyno tune which he subs out. Called another shop and they informed me that it shoulda been dyno'ed to start with(something about the auto tune so it knows where to adjust, idk), told them the programmer/tuner he put on the bike and they informed that that's outdated. Looked on dyno jets website and they discontinued the commander v. So now after paying $500 for something that sold for $300 and is old tech I'm stuck buying another tuner to get a proper dyno. I'm not even from the area so now I'm kinda feeling like he saw a quick buck and not having to worry bout the rest. Hopefully this fixes the problem I've been having since I've got the bike back. Yes I did send him videos of it acting up via email and no response. Tired of calling and getting the "he is busy and will call you back". As far as the motor work though it's great. Just wish he would support the customers that have already forked out $8,000 dollars and can't have a motor that acts right. Even told him I'd pay for the dyno, no looking for a hand out or freebie but damn.

My husband and I purchased a bike from here and we felt we got our moneys worth. The owner and his staff were very friendly and informative. They were able to answer every single question and took their time with us even though the Store was pretty busy with other customers. I would give them 100 stars if I could. The owner not only helped lift the bike up into our truck, but went an extra step to put cardboard down in the trunk so the gasoline wouldn't leak out into the car. He also didn't just sell us a bike, he went through maintenance, and proper care of the bike with us. We left away feeling good and our son has been enjoying this bike ever since. We will definitely be coming back once our other kids are age-appropriate to ride a bike.

I started going to P&L MotorSports back in Aug of 2015…read more The entire staff at P&L is awesome! From the people at the front desk to the last guy in the shop sitting on the Dyno turning out some damn nice HP cars on their AWD Dyno. Everyone is always super helpful and they go up and out of there way to help me and my STI out. My first visit was for 2 dyno tunes. One tune on 93oct and one on E85. Both tunes are flawless and really woke my STI up and made me fall back in love again with my car. After the excellent support for the tunes I new this was THE SHOP for me to continue bringing my car to. Now I visit monthly for all my preventive maintenance needs for my car. I recently had brakes done as well. Pads, rotors and new fluid. They always do A++++ work and I never leave unhappy. Thanks for great work guys!

Let me start by saying there is a reason I waited to leave a review. I couldn't afford a lawyer and…read moredid everything that was available to me that I could afford for justice but unfortunately didn't work for me. To Whoever reads this do your own research before coming here for any service and if you have no other option and if they cannot guarantee your vehicle will be in working order when it is received back to you IN WRITING do not sign anything and walk away. I emailed p&L to book a tuning appointment for my 2013 Subaru wrx hatchback and get some parts put on which one being a Blow off valve. Ian who responded to my email asked if the Blow off valve I purchased came with a recirculation kit because without it the car would have drivability issues. I reached out to vendor to see if the blow off valve I purchased came with a recirculation kit and was told yes it did. They install the parts and their tuner Josh ran my vehicle on the Dyno. After the first run he told me it wasn't making the horsepower output it should be and Josh recommended replacing the spark plugs. After that it was put back on the Dyno for a second run and Josh said it's still not making the power output. I said I was never worried about horsepower gains I just wanted my vehicle to run safely. He said ok. They took my vehicle on a test drive and 10 minutes later they came back and told me my engine was knocking. I asked if it was drivable? Ian said yes and no and Josh just shook his head no. Josh then proceeded to tell me it was knocking on the first run on the dyno. Great customer service telling me that information but not until they were "done" with it. My vehicle should have been taken off the dyno and I should have been told immediately. Ian offered me for them to find out went wrong but at my own expense and I declined. Had it towed to my trusted mechanic but he didn't have time to look at it himself because he is also the service director of the shop he works at. So it got transferred next door to a mechanic my trusted mechanic trusts that had been servicing that car since new (I only owned the for car 2 months before the appointment at P&L). He stripped down the engine and found that 2 rod bearings were completely spun and gone and the main bearing caused the crankshaft to bind meaning P&L over revved my car hard. Once that was fixed it still had to get retuned. So my trusted mechanic (who I should of asked where to get it tuned to begin with) knows someone who recommended dynosource performance in Antioch Illinois so my car went there to get retuned and they did it right unlike P&L not to mention dynosource charged me for a recirculation kit for my BOV so p&L never put my recirculation on and they did that on purpose and there was no mention of it on the p&L invoice and Ian should of included that in my customer file. I did my part and made sure all the parts I purchased were for my car, made sure they were the right parts for my year, make and model, and all the parts I bought were brand new. P&L argued because my engine was rebuilt at 104k miles that's one of the contributing factors to my cars engine blowing. Engine is brand new so that means definitely nothing should have happened. It blew because Josh over revved it and they didn't put my recirculation kit on. I will post pictures of invoices. Total repair costs me just short of 10 grand. P&l are cowards and hide behind their waiver and use it as a get out of jail free card. Paul (who is the owner of P&L) hires people who don't care/don't know what they're doing and doesn't care about anything but your money.
