I have come to Relax Zone three times in the last three months for a deep tissue massage and they have all been very pleasant experiences. The place itself it really clean and the rooms themselves are clean, dimly lit, have relaxing spa music playing , very comfortable setting. They are always able to get me in same day if needed and they make sure to ask if there are any specific problem areas. The massage has always been amazing- never disappointed, and reasonably priced. When I made the appointment I specifically asked if they offered a hot stone massage and the lady on the phone replies yes. My wife was really anticipating this service because she needed to relax. So I book a couples massage for $120 cash and this was the first place I ever went to that asked for the payment before the service started, so that was interesting. As we get our massage person, I can tell this place is below mediocre, there's not much technic in the service. It's quick swirling and rubbing and massive massage oil dripping all over my back. I already knew it is what is it.. During the massage, we both ask, is this a hot stone massage? And we didn't get a clear reply, it must have been a language barrier. Then 45 mins into the massage he brings out some hot stones and they continue to rub the stones for only I kid you not a few mins and switch back to the hand massage. Hot stone massage is supposed to be a massage with hot stones during the whole session, not for only a few mins. If the lady on the phone said yes we offer hot stone massage, but only for a few mins. So we did, then we told them we would be using a Groupon and then they said no you can't come in now. They put cash customers first. Guess what? If you would've taken my husband and I, we wpuld have been cash customers the next time. And we wouldbw told friends about our experience. Instead, you've lost quite a few new clients because of your unstated mannerisms and terrible customer treatment. Purchased a Groupon for a couples massage here. Just called to try to book it and he took our reservation. Then as soon as I mentioned that I had a Groupon he actually denied us saying that they only take 10 Groupons a day. And that they were already at 11. We mentioned that nowhere on the Groupon voucher does it State they can turn people away after a certain amount of vouchers have been used. He actually denied our services and us coming in AFTER we mentioned it. Why even have a Groupon if you're going to treat Groupon users like less-than? I just finished my 90 min massage with Luis and it was one of the best massages. I've been to many different ones but I think this has got to be my favorite place. I tried hot stones for the first time and he soothed it in so nicely. It felt really relaxing. Luis hit all the knots I complain about without even telling him where it hurts. After wanting a foot massage for a few weeks, I finally decided today was the day, as I was feeling a little tense from a run. So I naturally went straight to Yelp to find a good place, that was close by. Fair warning and full disclosure, this is my first ever Foot Massage only expierence. I have recieved plently of hour long full body massages but never just feet only (besides the ones you get when you get a pedicure..lol). I went in late afternoon on a Sunday as a walk-in. I was told there was going to be a wait (15-20 mins). They have a very comfortable leather sofa in the waiting area, which was nice. On the hour, a lady named Cindy came out and took me to the Foot Massage room. Here is another warning to future patrons; this was like a community room with 3 "chairs" (not really a chair but you can see my picture). The fact that other people could be in there did not bother me, not even sure if this is normal since I dont ever get foot massages only. However, the community room did apparently bother a customer that came in half way through my session who was taken to her "chair" and looked around confused and uncomfortable. She eventually stood up and left... I swear it had nothing to do with me..lol.. unless it was the fact that I was a guy but its not like there is any undressing... lol, so not sure what the issue was. The massage itself was good. They soak your feet for about the first 10mins. While you soak, you are given a quick neck, head and shoulder massage. Cindy did good, a little too light one the first foot. He was hacking, clearing his throat the whole time he massaged me. He was more attentive to massaging me bones, specially my spine, and not my muscle. At some point he was wrestling my spine with his elbow and i had to tap out and tell him he is hurting me a lot. Ive got high tolerance to pain and I know i had to intervene when he kept crushing my spine with his elbow. I already knew that the next day I would feel like someone beat me up. I've gotten massages before and none compared to this one from Cindy. I have a back injury and sometimes there's back pain that makes me want to get a massage, usually it's always really deep, so it hurts more than it feels good. Today was just a day where I could tell my body was tired, I was in pain in places I didn't even know exist. Cindy hit every spot, especially on my back and It was just the best experience ever. This place is very low budget with high prices in my opinion. We came for a couples massage on our anniversary and even changed our scheduled time per their request, which was fine. However, the decor in the room was very odd. There was a old dresser vanity, with a little colored steamer thing blowing steam and some Victoria secret or Bath and Body Works lotion without the labels laying there and a heating pump which I assumed oil was in. We had two females and I got a hot stone added for free with my massage. My experience was not the best every so often she would hurt me using her boney parts of her arms or knuckles. I hate that. I felt like I couldn't breath and yes I had to wear my face mask during the massage, which was also fine. Then I got a headache at some point and was so confused. My fiancé said, his wasn't good. She didn't do a deep tissue, and he also got to the point where he couldn't breath. When they flipped up over upright, his masseuse started coughing and making weird noises and hacking, trying to clear her throat and didn't stop doing that the rest of the time! Like excuse yourself and go fix your issue instead of making it uncomfortable for him, especially with covid happening! My wife and i got a couples massage here today, and both had a wonderful time. We have had massages before, but have rarely had such a great experience. Linda and Lulu are amazing! They found areas we needed help on, that we didn't even know we needed help on, and then made them all feel great. It was like they knew our own bodies better than we do. We each found ourselves drooling a few times, and everything from our feet to our heads feel great. They are miracle workers! Also, due to some travel setbacks, we were late, but they still worked with us and were very polite and understanding. Kind of disappointed especially since this place has great reviews. Did a couples massage scheduled for 12:00, but didn't get seen til around 1230. The overall massage was average, not worth the $89 price at all. When we first started, there was no music, then once it was playing, there were actual songs with lyrics playing. Not that romantic and massage like. Also agree that the walls are thin so you can hear every interaction in the front. Thought a nice couples massage would be nice. My spouse said his was decent but the man I had was pretty terrible. I'm not even sure he was a licensed massage therapist! Dug his forearm and elbow into my back and used the same strokes over and over. After asking politely to please incorporate his hands (must have been a language barrier), he continued with the same annoying strokes. He had some pretty inappropriate drapings and all I kept thinking was to get up and off the table and put an end to this miserable massage. He also kept sitting down on the massage table next to my body-just strange and entirely unprofessional. I left a tip for the woman and did not for him. He walked out after I explained to the young man at the front how disappointed I was with the therapist I had. He then waived the money I left "on the females bed" and said thank u. I explained that it wasn't meant for him and even had to call the facility numerous times after walking out to make sure the female massage therapist received the tip and not him. I got a couples massage on a Saturday morning. My husband got a 90 minute Asian #2 and I got the 60 min massage. I used a Groupon which helped save some $. We got the earliest appointment at 930am. The place is located next to Faith Armory off Jefferson. The lobby had a nice inviting ambiance. High ceilings and clean. The staff were timid and sweet but the manager who checked people in seemed very flustered and perhaps not organized opening the store. He seemed nice though. Now the massage we had was in a huge room with two massage beds. The sheets were very thin. I get cold during a massage so I would've liked thicker sheets, but the massage made up for it. I had a Swedish massage and the masseuse was very thorough and asked if pressure was ok. Other than that, she didn't talk. Also, they must've forgot to put background music because it turned on 10 minutes before the massage ended. I like soothing music so I don't hear background noise or think about anything while I'm relaxing. And an added bonus was their use hot stones.
