First time we went, back in March, it was amazing. We had a 60-minute couples deep tissue massage, and Lucy and Gina did incredible work. We left feeling so relaxed--definitely a 5-star experience that day. However, we went back this past weekend as part of my wife's birthday celebration, and this time was not the same. It felt rushed, and areas that were focused on last time were barely touched. The medium pressure felt quite soft. She suggested cupping with extra $20 and my perspective from someone who had hundreds cupping in the past, the way she did the cupping not that pro. Booked a couples massage. First I thought it was thoughtful that initially they confirmed if we wanted to be in separate or the same room. Both ladies were very nice and respectful . They spoke only enough to understand the different pressure that me and my husband prefer . The whole massage experience was very relaxing and peaceful. Warning: detailed review... It was a last minute decision to have a 90min deep tissue massage. Couldn't have made a better choice. I've been suffering from a stiff (right side) neck back and shoulders for a while. Probably from sleeping wrong/wrong pillow/wrong mattress. What felt like whiplash after one bad night's sleep, turned into chronic stiffness and immobility, and a constant sore lower back. Couldn't bear feeling fatigued everyday because of it. Needed to fix myself. I fear deep tissue massages would be painful and you just have to bear it, because I've had so many in the past that felt borderline torturous; telling myself that "I needed it, which is why it hurt so bad" So, in all of my experiences, the masseuse I had (Gina) not sure about the spelling, she was by far the best I've ever had. Not just saying that. I'm very VERY fussy, I believe I have a sound mind-body awareness so I know what I need and want, when I feel it. From the start after telling her my issues, Gina confirmed that a 90mins deep tissue massage would be suitable for me. She was very polite, her communication was excellent, she made sure I was comfortable, heated my bed, checked pressure frequently; her pressure was always accurate, her cadence especially during the deep and slow points around my traps, shoulders and neck were perfect. She worked on areas that alot of Masseuses skip, I loved everything about it, I didn't want it to end. I could feel the knots needed that extra push but the technique she used on kneading them out didn't feel painful, it felt like something was certainly working in but without that pain I've previously felt with other masseuses, it was more like the feeling of rolling them flat out the way they should be done, the satisfaction from that, felt addictive to want more. I could tell she knew what she was doing. Before halfway through I knew I wanted to book a 90 min Deep Tissue Massage with her every month. I hope she doesn't leave anytime soon. My hubby and I booked a 1-hour couples massage at Deep Relief Massage, but unfortunately, we don't plan on returning due to our first-time experience. Pros: - The staff seemed very nice and attentive. - Hot stone add ons were free. - The space was clean. Cons: - We texted the manager to let them know we were running five minutes late because the GPS led us to the back of the town center. When I called for directions, the manager was rude, yelling that she had sent directions-- though I never received any via email or text. Then she mentioned they were near the boba shop on the other side of the town center. - The couples' room was very cramped; the beds were so close that I repeatedly felt the other therapist brush against my hand during the massage. - Both therapists pulled down our underwear completely during the session, which made me feel very uncomfortable and, frankly, violated. It felt unnecessary and unprofessional, especially since the massage was uncomfortably close to private areas and my chest. I've been to so many massage places and they've never done that before. - My therapist's techniques were inconsistent and painful which led me to believe that she was new to this. The entire experience felt uncomfortable, which overshadowed any positives. I had an amazing deep tissue message experience with Susan on 3.2.26. She was professional and listened to what I asked for and concerns. As I have had 2 knee replacements, I had some sensitive areas. But I also didn't want an all over gental message. I wanted her to really dig into my knots and stress points, adrenal spots to unblock those for me. Too many times a masseuse will be too gentle. She was always careful to ask if too hard or too gentle, which was great for me. I slept so good that night it was amazing. I know she could do a gentle message, but she did a proper deep tissue for me and I'm so glad for it. I will be back! Atmosphere and pricing was a plus. I don't even know what just happened. I booked a prenatal massage online and completed a detailed pre-appointment intake form that included pregnancy information and my pain concerns. When I arrived, the front desk couldn't find my appointment and seemed confused despite my confirmation email. I was taken to a room and told to lie face down before anyone asked a single intake question. A different staff member than the one listed on my confirmation came in to perform the massage and appeared unfamiliar with prenatal massage, even expressing concern that massage might be dangerous during pregnancy. I had to repeat several times that I booked a prenatal massage and was pregnant. She ultimately said she could only work on my shoulders despite my booking being specifically for lower back pain. It did not seem like my intake form had been reviewed at all, which is concerning from a professionalism and safety standpoint. The overall experience felt unprepared and not suited for prenatal clients. read more

I had an uncomfortable and upsetting experience at Deep Relief Massage. I booked a deep-tissue massage, and while the massage itself was just okay, several issues made the visit extremely uncomfortable. Before the massage, I removed my clothes and rings and placed them neatly on the chair provided for personal belongings. After the session, I noticed my nice gold ring had been bent into an oval shape, as if it had been stepped on. I asked the masseuse if she had moved my items or used the chair, but she repeatedly denied the possibility. I explained that I had walked in wearing the ring and now couldn't slide it over my knuckle. I tried to ask her as nicely as possible what could have happened and if she could pull up the cameras to see that my ring was on my finger when I walked in. She refused to help at all, and even said that the camera only recorded faces, which makes no sense. After I left, I also realized my clothes were no longer in the same order I had placed them, which made me believe she had stepped or climbed onto the chair during the massage. Throughout the session, she was very short and at times was literally on top of the table on all fours, so it seemed even more likely that she used the chair for leverage and accidentally damaged the ring. When I pleaded for help with none given I explained I don't want to pay for massage when the damaged ring is worth a lot more than the massage alone, she became defensive. She would call the police, which I agreed and then phoned the owner instead. The owner told me he "didn't have time for this, because he was getting his wife from the airport" insisted the ring couldn't have been damaged there, and tried to blame me. Saying "gold doesn't bend like that", uhhh yes it can easily. After several minutes of arguing, he finally said I could get an estimate for the repair and pay for my massage after the ring was repaired. On top of that, parts of the massage felt inappropriate. She brushed against intimate areas, massaged my chest in a way that felt more like groping, and repeatedly told me I was "beautiful," which felt completely unprofessional in this setting. I have had a lot of massages and have never experienced any of that before. Overall, this was an extremely distressing and unprofessional experience, and I would not recommend this business. read more

My experience was very unprofessional and distressing, as proper massage etiquette was not followed. There are seven listed. 1. I had to tell Lucy twice to close the door while giving my massage. 2. The first time she commented on my having a beautiful body was a little awkward, but continual comments throughout the session made me feel very uncomfortable. 3. She placed her left wrist against one of my intimate areas. 4. She left the room twice and abruptly- which made me feel even more uncomfortable. The second time she left, she was gone for several minutes and I began questioning who had entered the building and why. I got off the table fearing the worst and assuming the massage was done. She came back in the room without knocking and while I was dressing (it's etiquette to give a couple knocks before entering and saying a word or two to assure the client that it is their therapist). 5. She neither asked to perform abdominal work (proper etiquette), nor asked about any abdomen-related medical conditions (necessity). It was therefore shocked when she did two very deep, fast presses against my organs. I told her to stop, but too late to keep me from immense pain for an entire week. 6. She had a conversation with someone standing on the other side of the door while she was giving my massage. 7. There were times throughout the massage where her abruptness with the linens exposed me. read more

Today was my first time going after seeing them on Yelp. I love Thai massages and was happy to find that they offer that service. Lily was my masseuse and did a combo of Thai and deep tissue. Lily was friendly and did a great job and will definitely see her again. There was a little bit of a language barrier but for me, that's not a big deal to me at all especially since we understood each other.
