Nara Thai Massage is truly a hidden gem for an authentic Thai massage! My hubby and I came in for a 1-hour couples massage with Jenny and Sunny and let me tell ya... Don't underestimate the petite masseuses-- they're incredibly strong and will have you stretching in ways you never thought possible during the reflexology portion. The couples massage was the perfect mix of Swedish, deep tissue, and Thai techniques! The place is tucked into a corner of the lot with plenty of parking. You pay at the end, and they showed a tipping breakdown on a piece of paper which was a bit confusing. The only other small issue I had was the headrest on the massage table-- it felt too big for my head, though it fit my husband's big ole head perfectly. I asked for a pillow to support my head and that worked out great. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend giving them a try! This is a nice, clean place to go for a massage. The place is kind of hidden near PokePort and the barbershop. The staff is very friendly. Since it was my first time, I completed a short intake form. I got a 60 minute combination massage and it was great! I explained what I wanted and the masseuse did an awesome job! The masseuse was very strong for a petite woman! I even got tea at the end. Note to self, don't get a massage a couple of days after a difficult strength training workout that's left you sore!! Nara Thai didn't have any mercy on me when I asked for deep tissue massage. Lol! I got twisted and contorted ways I didn't think I could during the reflexology portion of the massage. Man did my masseuse work me over!! The care and quality was great. The business appeared to be clean, tidy and very spa-like and pricing is a little bit more expensive than other Thai massage places but not by much. It's our first time trying a Thai massage place and I would say it definitely worth it. My husband said no chiropractor nor masseuse are able to do what she did. She was able to release very tight muscles and able to crack his back. Mine was amazing also! My whole back from neck to back were very stiff and she releases a lot of knots. We planned a couples massage for valentienes day. We thought it would be great to have a massage. But this place went above our expectations. The parking lot has plenty of parking but when you first pull it in, it can be a bit hard to find. It is a tucked away in the back. We had a wonderful experience on so many levels. I went in for a 90 minute deep tissue yesterday and left feeling (& still feel) fantastic. Of course there's soreness and light bruising from the muscle work but I feel one thousand times better. They were beyond friendly, listened to my concerns (back issues), communicated as she went to make sure I was comfortable doing certain movements, and even had a Thai tea waiting for me afterwards. Best part is you can book online and fill out the questionnaire when you arrive, which for me is huge because some chain places like to have you call or try to upsell you in the beginning or convince you to get a subscription.
