I recently moved here from Chicago and have been trying different salons in the area to find a new go-to spot. When I walked into this location, two employees were lying in the pedicure chairs--one with a pillow and blanket, the other on his phone. They looked at me when I came in, but when I asked if they offered the services I needed and what time they closed, they just stared at me without responding. I had to repeat my questions multiple times and still got complete silence. Another employee eventually came out from the back and helped me, since the first two ignored me. The man who did my nails did a great job, but the younger girl who did my pedicure was extremely rude. She seemed irritated, threw items into the pedicure bowl, and threw paper towels and the buffer into the bowl but missed causing them to hit my legs off. She also got an attitude when I declined to add acrylic toes. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience, and because of her behavior, I wouldn't return. read more

Direct & Honest... This was the absolute worst nail salon experience I've ever had. My pedicure & my daughters was done in less than 20 min rushed & unfinished. They were cutting before our feet ever touched the water. The nail color did not even cover the entire nail, the staff was unprofessional & rude... Tina is rude. She only wants to sell you high ticket items/services. If you don't go with her choice she becomes rude. Overpriced. I do not recommend- SNS is not of good quality. Within 5 days the polish on my nails cracked and she said SNS lasts longer than gel. Not true. read more

Great service I am here every two weeks or so. Pedi mani and eyebrows . Love the SNS mood changing options. I don't think it's advertised so just ask for it. They also have glow in the dark sns. I have tried shellac and regular acrylic but SNS is the best. They are very attentive and always remember you and what you like. The guys give the best pedicures. read more

Please, think about not going here ever. 1st time going here and I will never come back. The serenity and environment in this place is dead and boring. The owner asked what service I wld like, I told her I have colored powder on my nails and needed a refill. She immediately wrapped my nails in acetone with looking at my nails. I sat for at least 10 minutes before being asked did I want a pedicure also. Sure I do, so of course that took about 45 min bec the tech was finishing up someone else's nails. (No problem) The problem came when it was time to do my nails, the ace tone are away at my nail tips causing them to soften and peel. Refill $20 +. Ok so a few nail tips were damaged, they said they wld replace the tips and my nails wld be $30. $20 for the same polish or $30 to change to polish. Going to nail salons prior, I believe a color choice comes with the service. ‍ They claim they didn't have the colors that I originally walked in with. (Well that has nothing to do with me, looks like you need to invest in more colors) (upgrading). The owner is full of shit, how can you charge a customer $10 for a color change when it's your own fault you don't have the colors requested. A plain-light pink and orange. She had no concerns at all, walking off as I'm talking to her about my nails. Explaining to her that leaving acetone on that long ate away the tips. I politely paid for my pedicure and left. I do not recommend this place at all. I left and went to have nail surgery at Bamboo Nails. Bamboo is located about 5 miles from this place and the drive was well worth it. The atmosphere and serenity of this place was so inviting. Explained to them what happened and they took me right away. They advised not everyone has the passion for nails and what happened is not business savvy. Do not come to Star Nails. NEVER. read more

I've been patronizing this salon for 3 years. The service has been very poor lately. The techs rush to do their jobs and my mani/pedi looks like I did them home. I had to return 3 times since my gel nail application last week due to polish all over my hands, cuticle beds, and feet not to mention the gel polish falling off after 3 days. I called back and spoke with the owner the same night. She agreed to redo my gel nails and repair my messy pedicure after taking a look at her tech's sloppy work. I appreciate the customer service, but I won't be returning again. My big toe is still swollen and I can't put pressure on that foot because the nail tech dug too deep into my cuticle bed read more

I was in the area and was looking for a place where I could pop in and get a mani & pedi right quick. I saw that they opened up early so I figured I'd go in and beat the "Saturday rush". There were 2 customers there when I arrived and the rest of the staff hadn't arrived yet. The two men were working on their 2 customers and I was seated at a pedi chair rather quickly but had to soak for a while until someone was available (something told me to just leave at this point...but I didn't listen. Big mistake). By the time a tech was available for my service, other customers started coming in. I don't know if the whistle was blown or what but the race began! My tech literally rushed through my pedicure. He was rough and moving at the speed of light. I don't mind a fast service, but please be thorough. I let him finish and throw polish on my toes but was far from impressed. The basics & essentials were covered but if I wanted a mediocre effort & experience, I could've done this myself at home. Needless to say, I decided to nix the manicure. After my toes dried and I brought his attention to the polish on my foot and not on my nail, I paid and never looked back. I went in for a Solar Nail fill in, she replaced them with SNS, I questioned her and she said the color I picked out was SNS not solar, and she was NOT nice about it. (So Ok lady tell me to pick another color) Then my daughter got a full set and another lady put them on crooked, my daughter sad no, I'm not paying for this, so she had the lady redo a hand and boy was she pissed, As she filed she repeated, on every finger, scrapped my daughters cuticles with the drumel tool and continued to let it get hot on her nails. Her nails were so thin 4 broke within two days. I gave this salon 2 times to impress me both times were bad experiences, the ladies in this facility are rude and nasty to you, Lord know what they mumble to your face because they won't speak English. They are very rude and very pushy. The service sucked as well. I went with my mom and a family friend to have a little girls day. We walked in and were instantly being ambushed. We were trying to pick colors but kept being waved to my seat. She wouldn't shut up long enough to listen to what we wanted. She would ask a question and then walk away before we could answer. After the half an hour wait that we were not warned about, she tried getting my family friend to upgrade her pedi. Obviously out for money knowing we weren't happy with the service. The pedicure was uncomfortable and not worth the $20 that I paid. I was going to get a mani and a pedi, but opted out because of how bad the service was. She acted surprised and yelled at me when finding out that I was not getting a mani as well. Through this whole experience, all three of us were scolded for not understanding what to do. I went in on a Friday to get a mani/pedi. I knew I would have to wait, not a problem. I waited about 30 minutes in the pedicure chair. Once they started everything was fine, six days later, the GEL POLISH has come off of 4 of my fingers. When I look back, I don't think they used OPI and that may be the problem. I'm going back to have them repair the 4 that came off. If they don't do it FOR FREE, I will be doing another review. read more
