It was ok... Good customer service is hard to find these days and my experience yesterday at this location was no exception. My wax technician Tiara was GREAT! She was kind, professional, personable, and did a great job! Id giver her personally 5 stars! However, the front desk ladies need improvement. They seemed overwhelmed, undertrained, and one lacked professionalism. Rather than accept her/their mistake with the mishandling of incoming customers, she tried to blame me for them losing track of what was going on. She provided her two cents on what I "should've done" and gave advice on what I "needed to do" next time. Interestingly enough, 2 other customers (apparently familiar with how things SHOULD go) came in & did exactly as I had done. So clearly, there's a lack of continuity. And the WAIT (SMH). I can tolerate the wait to be seen by a tech (there's usually a wait) but waiting to check out was ridiculous. I stood there as the other girl fumbled through booking an appointment over the phone & called for help from the other girl. I then waited while both of them tried to figure out what to do. I've been a customer at this location for years and usually have a great experience overall. I hope they solicit additional training so that the quality of customer service at the front desk can be improved. read more

i get frequent Brazilian waxes so i pretty much know what to expect. i was new to area and looking for a local wax shop and decided to give the wax strip a try.. if this was my first brazilian i definitely think i would be scared to get another. My wax specialist was extremely friendly and kind, but the whole wax experience was awful. I specifically requested hard wax and she would pull before it even cooled.. ouch. then constantly having to reapply for touch ups. maybe i just got the bad luck of the draw that day but i would unfortunately not recommend this wax shop due to this experience. read more

I am upset because almost every time is the same situation. I am doing face waxing and 99% of the time when I check at home, I find a big spot untouched. The people are nice, but what is the point to give me a mirror to see if I am pleased, when you can't see anything there, let alone the fact I need prescription glasses to see. If it was a little, I would comment, but when you wax all face and leave untouched a portion of an inch and a half, is visible. In the same time you feel bad not to give a tip :((( read more

I bought a package of brow waxes here. I don't get my brows done often so it seemed like a good deal. Well they didn't tell me the package expires after 2 years and any unused waxes are just lost. So it's not worth getting the package if you are like me and only get your brows done very occasionally. I'm very dissatisfied and will likely never go to the wax strip again and will warn others not to buy the packages or indeed do business there at all because I lost my brow package. Last time I had a wonderful experience. This time not so much. I left with more eyebrows then I went in with. I left crying and very upset. I looked nothing like myself and nothing like what I wanted!! I'm so sad. I look like I have a filter on. I went to go get my eyebrows cleaned up and she waxed all of it up. I stood up and cried and was freaking out. She didn't ask me if I was okay with her completely reshaping my eyebrows. If they weren't so expensive I'd go more often. $45 is just too much, I usually wait for coupons in the newspaper. First of all, waxing sucks period. Waxing the privates sucks like no other. The end result is the only reason I go through this process which is akin to using a butter knife to put your eyes out. I mean, when the backs of your knees and your palms are sweating and you are chanting in your head, you know it's no joke. The things women go through. With that being said, they do a good job. Usually no problems with hair bumps, etc BUT the last employee I went to, who was working in WR for that day/week/or whatever but usually worked at the Macon location, I guess she did something wrong. For a better experience, I would just stay away from The Wax Strip locations. They are far from being the most professional, but they are definitely clean. If you want just your eyebrows done, then no problem, but I would advise you not to venture and get anything more than that.... Arg the worst experience ever! I have been waxed a few times and always had decent results, but this time was a disaster!! I went 2 days before a vacation so that I could wear my bikini and not have to think about what every woman worries about... anyway the girl was not very friendly from the start. I could hear the conversations going on in the rooms around us which was a little disturbing (I hope she knew the person who was waxing her). Then after the girl pulled one strip she said "I hope your boyfriend doesn't get jealous easy!" To which I responded "What? Why?" She bruised my entire bikini line. The staff is friendly enough. I liked that they used a different stick for each dip but my eyebrows looked pretty bad. The finished job wasn't as bad as some I've seen but my brows were slightly uneven and she didn't shape them the way I asked. I wouldn't go back. read more

I love this place! After a year I've been happy when the results. I do half leg, under arm, basic bikini and facial waxing. Technically they know what they're doing and do a great job. I am so happy to give up shaving. 95% of the time my experience is perfect. Occasionally you have a moody employee, who doesn't act like she cares about you one way or the other, and talks the whole time about her personal life, which you don't care about. Absolutely horrible!! I had thick full eyebrows with a near perfect arch and I asked for a small clean up and to keep the thickness. When I looked in the mirror and compared my eyebrows pre and post waxing HALF of my eyebrow was gone! Absolutely no arch and very thin eyebrows. My right brow was noticeably thicker than my left and looked terrible! This place is way to expensive for the results. read more

I went into The Wax Strip looking for a simple eyebrow touch up. I requested they stay thick and long. Lo and behold, to my horror upon looking in the mirror they are now butchered. The woman who did my eyebrows absolutely messed them up. I look constantly surprised on one side of my face, and they are much thinner than I requested. If I could give them less than one star, I would. After having let my eyebrows grow out to thicken up with plucking here and there to keep the shape for nearly 5 months, I have to draw in my one eyebrow until they grow back. I started going about a year and a half ago. A girl I work with got a Brazilian there and the price was awesome. (I'm from Memphis originally. A Brazilian there will run about $100-125.) The most painful part about the waxing process (other than waiting for 2 weeks for the hair to be long enough.. ugh) was the first strip coming off. After that, it was a cake walk. Been going here for years to get my eyebrows done and I've never had any complaints. The girls are nice, and the facility is SUPER clean. Unfortunately, my first experience with getting a Brazilian has not been pleasant. I've never had one before, so I asked them what I needed to do and followed all of their tips/instructions. I have new growth literally 24 hours later - it's NO different than if I had shaved myself. After doing a little research, all I can come up with is that the hair was too long and broke at the shaft instead of pulling out the root. Funny, since they LITERALLY tell you they will trim you to an appropriate length to prevent this (which the girl did not do, obviously). I am so disappointed that I paid the money and went through the discomfort for such terrible results. I hate shaving and really wanted to make this my new normal, but who can justify spending money on something that isn't done properly? read more
