Giving this place 2 stars because the pedicure was fine. I rarely ever complain at places but this SNS "manicure" was the worst one I've ever had. It was done by an elderly man who seemed to have no idea how to do SNS. He was dipping random nails in powder and painting some with a clear coat and not others. He was not friendly and did not listen to my comments very well. The nails came out looking very thick and some were misshapen. I was so dissatisfied. I told the lady and she gave me $5 off. I honestly wish I would've just gotten a polish. The women seemed to be able to do SNS way better than this man. I was so disappointed and won't be returning. I went to Relax for the first time today to get a SNS manicure. I've never had such a terrible manicure in my life! My nails are bumpy and rough to the touch, when I typically leave other salons with glossy, smooth nails after SNS. That is why I get this service each time. Very disappointed I spent my money here. I was in and out in 20 minutes for a gel manicure. Everything was rushed... they didn't clean under the nails, never told me to wash my hands... "massage" lasted 15 seconds. I wasn't asked what shape nail I wanted. I wasn't asked if I wanted the cuticles cut. I might as well have done it myself at home. Won't be back. It's too bad because they are so close to my house, but I'd rather drive 5 minutes for better service. Note that I had the only male working there. Wanted to try out a new nail place, and wish I wouldn't have. The only reason for 2 stars is because of the polish colors, so many to chose from. I got a gel manicure. If you can even conifer me having a manicure. I wasn't asked if I wanted my nails cut or filed, wasn't asked what shape. I got a quick file down. I came home and filed where they were I ever and where the polish was on the sides of my nails. Again, the only male in there who dis my nails. I will not be back. read more

I had a fantastic pedicure from the owner's Mother and followed it with SNS nails with Ann. The best SNS nails I've had done in Charlotte! Very thin and natural looking AND they looked great for over 2 weeks. Prices are less than other salons I've been to and Ann did a better job. Thank you, Relax Nail Spa. I will be back! read more

I don't recommend this salon to ANYONE. I was getting my long natural nail (looked like acrylic) cut all the way down so I could play guitar again. There is an old woman working there as well as one male. The old woman first began filing my gel polish off, and she was filing my SKIN. Almost every one of my fingers is all scraped up from a dirty nail filer. NOT TO MENTION she followed up with bringing over a bowl of acetone and telling me to soak my hand in it. There was no way, soaking wounded skin in acetone? Are you kidding?? I told her it hurt too much, she called over the manager who was the male. Everyone's comment about this man's horrible demeanor is accurate. He told me to do just the same thing, and I looked up at him as he was finishing my nails and caught him rolling his eyes at me because he didn't want to do my nails. After filing and burning my skin off, I was charged full price for the manicure. Customer service is supposed to be all about the customer, am I right?? Not this salon whatsoever. DO NOT GET EYELASHE EXTENSIONS DONE HERE. I have been going to this Nail spa for a long time and I would always just get eyebrows waxed a few months ago, I decided to try eyelash extensions. The first 6 installations of fill ins went on without any issues. My last visit didn't go so well. I got my refill and a couple hours later my eyes were itchy and red and got worse and worse I ended up with eye infection and went to salon to tell them and they weren't empathetic at all, they were completely negligent and didn't want to take ownership that this was their fault. I asked for reimbursement and nothing. I will never be going back! read more

The male tech had a NASTY attitude the entire time he did my nails and he was extremely rough when removing the gel from my nails! Right before he started to polish my nails, I pointed out to him that he left some of the gel on my nails. He then grabbed my fingers all rough and angrily and scrapped of the remaining gel!! The other 2 ladies in the salon are way better than him so if you go, make sure one of them does your nails and not the male!!! read more

The place is very clean and sanitary which is why I decided to try them out. I went to a nail salon in the mall previously and got a toenail fungus so I needed a new place. Just as others stated my first experience was great. I had the female and she did a great job. My 2nd visit the male did my pedicure. He was extremely rushed and literally just brushing over my toes, no removal of anything! I stopped him mid way and told one of the females that I wanted someone else. They had the mom come over and she basically did my pedicure over and it was great. I will go back but I have no problem letting them know that the male is never to touch my feet again! read more

My first experience was golden and really encouraged me to change nail salons. The lady was nice and did an awesome job ! Then I got there the second time and the male did my Nails . Huge mistake . He was so rushed and burned me several times , he ruined my cuticles and filed down into my natural nail. I was beyond pissed and had to direct him several times on the thickness of the nail and how unnatural it looked . I honestly would not recommend this place to anyone. I used to go here years ago with my family and they were so nice and helpful, especially Laura. But today when I went in they were so rude. Especially the man who did my nails. I got a fill in done and he was so rough with my hands and kept on burning my skin with the tools he used. When I would flinch because it hurt he would look at me and roll his eyes or suck his teeth and just continue to do it without even apologizing. When he was done working on one hand he would fling my hand out of the way and start with the next one. He didn't really talk and when it was time to pay he told me the total was 18 and I gave him a 20 and he didn't give me my change back. I don't mind tipping because I always do but don't just assume that you are going to be tipped especially not if you are a jerk. Don't wast your money on horrible service. And if you go ask for anyone other than that man. He is so rude. Plus I felt very uncomfortable because he has a tattoo of a swastika on his left arm right above his hand. This nail shop is right around the corner from my job so decided to give it a go the first time I went i had a wonderful experience. I got a pedicure and full set. It's a family owned business so I don't really know names but the mom started with my pedicure she was amazing she made my feet feel like I was walking on cotton. The massage and care she gave was awesome when it got time for filing etc. the daughter came over and did that part then she also did my full set. She was accurate and quick will be going back. First time was five stars no doubt. Now I'm walking in the second time. Walked in received a big hello. I was instructed to go to the male. Uh oh the previous review warned not to go to him. I said I would try him out. Sit in the pedicure chair he didn't speak or anything. He only asked which pedicure I wanted that was it. His massage was ok felt rushed to me. He did my nails they weren't filled in good you can see the fill line.it's only been three days and they're already lifting. I don't think I'll be back based on his attitude.
