They lived out of state for a bit and tried to replicate this specific cake from other bakeries, but it never came close. Needless to say, we had to try this one of a kind cake. Unfortunately, the last time they ordered it, somehow, it was missing one of the most important parts-the raspberry coulis! They reached out to the chef-owner and he graciously offered to make them a new cake the next time they came in. We popped into this cute bakery with a vintage flare this Sunday and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The cake was gorgeous and tasted just as great! If you're a fan of chocolate, you're about to be in heaven! Chocolate cake, raspberry preserve and chocolate mousse filling, chocolate buttercream frosting, covered in chocolate ganache. So rich, creamy, moist and decadent. A little goes a long way! The flavors and textures were perfectly balanced and the raspberry coulis made me smile with each bite. Thank you Alliance for your excellent service and delicious creations.

This is my absolute most favorite bakery. So this is my ode to the bakery and Dom, who is a gem of…read morean employee there. I've been a customer of almost 10 years and have been obsessed since they first opened their doors at a different location. I literally live an hour away without traffic and even longer with traffic, but I make sure to stop by or send someone else to get it for me at least once a month or more. I love the amazing cakes that are so delicious and unique but on top of that, it is Asian owned, LGBTQ supporting, etc. A lot has changed since their little storefront with no seating. The bakery is now a full on cafe and I'm so happy to see how much they've grown and how successful they are. And while it is glorious, I will say I miss the sweet neighborhood charm and great customer service it used to have. Getting in touch with the bakery through phone or text can be tough and to be honest, sometimes one of the people working there is kind of...very mean. It had me questioning if I should keep coming back. I just love this bakery so much though and being raised by parents that had a small food business, I can't help but want to support. I had a particularly difficult last minute request for the bakery a few weeks ago and I was reminded why this place is so great. It had been YEARS since I made this specific request, which was an order for a slice of cake for every flavor and a cupcake for every flavor. This is a BIG and time consuming request, especially if it's last minute. Unfortunately I come to the city whenever the traffic isn't atrocious, so it's always last minute. Dom absolutely pulled through though. Even though there were other employees there (I saw two others but one disappeared and then another male was kind of walking around the cafe and such), Dom took this giant request and fulfilled it himself. The other gentleman (not the mean person previously mentioned) was actually who I made the request to, but he told Dom to do it. I was kind of confused why they didn't do it together but idk, maybe the other guy isn't allowed to handle food? Who knows. Regardless, this request obviously took a long time and the line was getting longer; people were getting a little restless but Dom stayed calm but was swift. I swear he was moving faster than most people in the industry could with a cake knife like that. He was not impatient or rude to me at all. He was just there to do his job as fast and well as possible. It's so rare to see that type of work ethic. He is also so obviously proud of the bakery and the food they serve which makes you feel good about being a patron there. So although I continue to have an unpleasant experience with one particular employee there, Dom keeps my love for this bakery alive. He reminds me of what this bakery was like when they first opened their doors. I hope Dom is cherished there and I bet he is considering his work ethic. I will continue to support this bakery and I recommend everyone else to support as well. It may not be that small little shop anymore but Dom is a reminder of the heart of the place.

For my graduation cake, I chose the tres leches and it was so creamy, moist, and delicious. I basically ate half of the cake by myself lol. This most recent time, I needed a snack and wanted something sweet. Everything here looks amazing and I'm sure tastes amazing too, so it's hard to choose. I chose to get the berry chantilly cake slice since it was a hot day, and it was the perfect refreshing treat! It was soooo good.

Most bakeries…read morewe've found have "a" scone, but Bake's online menu had multiples: three sweet and a savory. So off I went. There was no wait when I arrived around 8:30 am. I chose a blueberry scone and a cheddar and onion scone. I was a tiny bit disappointed they didn't have the lemon scone I saw in their online order page, but the fruity blueberry option fit the bill. I also ordered a cappuccino to go. Service was good, and I really appreciated being asked if I wanted separate bags for the scones, which ensured the blueberry scone didn't pick up any oniony smell or flavor from the other scone. The scones were excellent! Massive in size, they had a nice tender and crumbly texture, as well as plenty of fillings (so to speak). The cappuccino was fine, not as smooth as I like, but the terrific scones made it well worth the trip. The space is well laid out with multiple tables. None were taken at the time, as people were getting to go orders instead. I thought prices were reasonable: each scone was $5, which seemed fair given how large and high quality they were (not to mention the higher prices I'm seeing in some newer bakeries in the area). Other offerings looked good, too, but this is definitely the place to go if you're craving scones.

You can tell how truly passionate she is about cake and making sure all of her clients have the best experience possible. The tasting was also very fun and it was fun that we got to take home a second box in order to try all of the flavors again to make an informed decision! Onto the cake! We decided with a chocolate cake with chocolate fudge on one side, and a white cake with vanilla icing on the other side, these sides separated by the Italian buttercream. I will be dreaming about her Italian buttercream for the rest of my life. As a dessert connoisseur, I had high expectations for my wedding cake, and this cake exceeded them. The chocolate side was rich and the perfect amount of sweet. You could really taste the true chocolate flavors. The white cake was exceptional as well, with a perfect sweet vanilla frosting. The Italian buttercream was buttery, smooth, and truly the perfect middle divide for the cake as it matched both sides very well. I really have not tasted a better wedding cake and our guests were obsessed with the cake too so that just goes to show how quality and incredible the cake it. Truly all of it was an elevated and quality take on classic flavors. I am so so happy we got our wedding cake from here. Truly the most delicious cake I've ever eaten and our guests agree. We couldn't even wait a year to eat the anniversary cake we generously received so that is completely eaten already, so we will definitely just be getting a new one every year to enjoy the cake over and over again and we are so excited to continue to support Jo-Anne and her lovely business. Highly recommend getting your cake from here! Jo-Anne truly understands that cake is its own food group and should be treated with the utmost care!
