OMG, this place is to die for. They make the best custard puffs with caramel and shaved almonds on top. These are for a party tomorrow and I've already ate 3, need to hide them lol. They also make some killer cream puffs, couple different kinds and amazing cakes. Forget about it, this is the place to go to, no one else compares

Ms. Ania did an amazing job on my wedding cake and sweets table. She created a beautiful 3-tier cake and decorated it based on a photo I provided. (She even let me and my fiancé at the time do a tasting, so we knew what flavors to pick for the cake!) On the day of wedding, she delivered the everything on time, plus set up a beautiful sweet table -- the decoration was amazing. Everyone at my wedding was very impressed!

The color of this cake should be pale Tiffany blue.If you cannot deliver what you promised to your customer then you should compensate them.

She has asked that I'd send her "literally anything" from the web and she will make it exactly the same. The cake ended up being ready for pick up on time and looking even better than the one from the web. On top of it all, pricing is out of this world. For the same exact design a bakery on Division St in Chicago has quoted me over $600.00 where Ania has only charged me $130.00. This place needs recognition, it is a true GEM! Absolutely worth the drive from anywhere in the city or suburbs. Thank U Ania for your Magic, you have made my little princess really happy.

Absolutely amazing! I emailed the bakery to find out if they could dream up a Gilmore Girls cake for my 13 year old. Anna responded quickly and said she could. I immediately drove to the bakery and described what I wanted. Anna was the creative genius who put the cake together. I just gave her a couple of details. She did the rest. My daughter loved her cake. It tasted really good with nutella cream filling. Delicious! Street parking is a bit tight. Be patient with yourself. A must try! read more

Would not recommend this place if you need them to design a cake. I wanted a Spiderman bday cake for my 3 year old that was not more than $100, and Anna reassured me that she could make a "beautiful" cake at that price point....but what a disappointment! See attached pic. I could have gotten a better-looking and better-tasting cake at the grocery store. The sprinkles appear like a child placed them and does not match the dark/gloomy city "decoration" that she chose and the center piece plastic Spiderman toy....the level of effort or skill put into this was just so substandard. The cake's flavor also fell flat, and our guests barely ate any and had to discard most of it. read more

If you are states away from your little sister who lives in Chicago, and you want to get her a cake, this is the place to go. Not only did the owner make exactly the cake my sister wanted, but they went out of their way to deliver it to her. We wanted to surprise her so we didn't tell her it was coming. We thought she was at home but she left her house to grab Mexican food for lunch and only told us when she had ordered food. The delivery driver re-routed on the fly and delivered the cake to her at the restaurant instead of her house. Also, the cake was super delicious! read more

OMG! Anna did exactly what I asked for and more. I got my daughters 4th bday cake here & we decided on the unicorn theme but didn't want the same cake as everyone else. The cake was just beautiful & so delicious. There was no complains everyone loved the cake & the kids loved the cupcakes. Everything on this cake was edible. The decorations of the cake was really nice exactly what I wanted but the cake was the worst tasting cake I ever had. We would of been better off getting a cake from jewels cheaper and taste a lot better, terrible flavor ,they should offer free taste samples before people waste there money read more

Cakes and beyond has AMAZING cakes. They are highly consistent with their quality. Every time we order pastries or cakes from this bakery the quality is always the best and never falters. These mouthwatering treats are backed with excellent customer service. The people that work here are just as sweet as the goodies they sell. My mom and I order a little something for ourselves every weekend and will continue to do so!! I'm not sure how someone can post a negative review. I love that there is an outdoor patio. It was nice sitting outside during the warmer weather. I elected to try the raspberry pastry, which was flaky and delicious. The cream balanced the tartness of the raspberries. I enjoyed the sausage pastry as well. I love that the woman at the counter offered to warm it up. I will visit again during my next visit to Chicago!

All pretty standard flavours, but if what I got is representative of the whole offering, the quality is what makes them special. I got the Manjari, a chocolate mousse coated in a dark chocolate ganache with a thin chocolate cookie/cake "crust" on the bottom. It was almost $10 which I think is pricey for an individual dessert, but it was perfectly designed and the chocolate was clearly good quality because it was RICH. The dessert was pushing my tolerance for sweetness but in this small portion it worked as the chocolate was very strong to balance it out.

I'll preface by saying that the Corn Maiz drink was my favorite thing I got from Kasama. It has a strong corn flavor that blends perfectly with the milk tea. This is a 10/10 no notes. Ube latte was also tasty. For food I ordered a ton of things: -Longanisa Egg and Cheese Sandwich w a hash brown: was surprisingly just okay IMO. Egg is very uniquely fluffy, more like a steamed egg than a scramble! The rest of the sandwich was tasty but nothing special. -Filipino Breakfast Platter w both meats: the Tocino is delish! IMO the better of the two breakfast meats. Garlic rice is good, but i always love garlic rice. -Italian Beef Eggrolls: so crispy and delicious with the gardeneira dipping sauce! Weekends only item- be sure to try! -Lumpia: so crispy and flavorful, they really fry things well here. -Matcha Pandan Eclair: the choux was pipped on top, and was so fluffy and delicious. The crispy rice inside the shell added a fun texture. This was my favorite pastry! -Truffle Croissant: lamination was good, flavors were a bit weird. Was overly sweet from the rock sugar + honey, so much that it overpowered the truffle IMO which is hard to do. -Guava and cheese ensaymada: very fluffy brioche with yummy filling. This was good, really wanted to try the ube one but they were out :( -Ube and Huckleberry basque cake: very rich! Was suggested this instead of the ube ensaymada and it was definitely more huckleberry than ube. Tasty though. Overall this spot was good and certain things (corn maiz drink, pandan eclair, Italian beef eggrolls) were worth the wait while others are overhyped. I would definitely order ahead next time for take out or sit inside- cute indoor and outdoor seating options!

I ordered a birthday cake for my husband's 50th. My husband plays table tennis so I decided that a tennis table was a good idea for a cake. I sent them a picture of what I had in mind and, oh boy, they DELIVERED! Everything about that cake was perfect. The taste of vanilla cake was perfectly balanced with raspberry and chocolate creams.
