If you love your sweet treats, then make your way to Chicago Sweet Connections!!! This wholesale Bakery, has it going on!!!!! Fruit pies, Cream Pies Dream Pies. I walked in the bakery and experienced sensory overload!!! Greedy Spirit Heaven!!!! Check them out: https://www.sweetconnectionbakery.com/ Each bite will send your tastebuds into orbit!!! They've got tasty Cakes, Cheecakes and many Varieties to satisfy your insatiable sweet tooth!!!! Chocolate, Vanilla, fruit topped, and there's something for everyone. Besides the actual Bakery, I've come across their delectable delights at Pete's Fresh Market and Jewel Osco. So if you're in need of a Birthday Cake or just a sweet little treat... Pick up one of their Baked perfections either at the Bakery (link above), or at your local grocery store, you'll be glad you did!!!! Bon-appetit!!!

About half of their retail space.

We were simply passing by and took the opportunity to drop in here. It looks to be a mid grade bakery with commensurate mid grade pricing. There were a lot of pre-packaged goods but I'm sure they make a lot of fresh products on site and on a daily basis here. We saw a lady pick up a customized birthday cake. There were day-old donuts available for $6 per box of about 9. There was also a lot of Polish being spoken by customers and staff in this bakery and it is in that ethnic part of Chicagoland. We didn't see a lot that grabbed our attention on this particular day. Wife did pick up a couple loaves of bread and they turned out to be good and fresh. We wanted to pick up an 8" chocolate bavarian cream pie for $5.75, but they were out of this smaller size pie. Easy and free street parking right out front or on the side street. Overall, I'd say an ok 3 star bakery.

Wow, was this disappointing! Peanut butter cookies that do not taste like peanut butter. Peach pie that is absolutely flavorless! Cookies that rate a 3 out of 10.What is going on here?! This is not the first time we have purchased from this bakery but it is the first time we have been so very disappointed! Usually we get donuts and they are yummy. I think maybe they should just become a donut shop. Very disappointing.

Pretty solid bakery with lots and lots of sweet options. Not too far from the Bryn Mawr exit on I-90 lies Chicago Sweet Connection in the NW part of the city. Location is sorta industrial, nothing much around, so getting here is easy and prices are really favorable. Donuts and danish are great - very generous fillings for my Boston Cream and Cheese danish. I also got some of the mini cakes which are pretty good too, I prefer the dark chocolate to get the rich, yet light textures. You can get a huge strudel for under $5 and are much better and fresher tasting than any grocery store strudels. Definitely worth a stop, whether you are passing by on I-90 and picking up something for yourself or for someone else.

First visit and won't be my last...solid bakery. Large assortment, decent prices, delicious treats. Got a small carrot cake for husbands birthday...was REALLY good...good enough that it was the first carrot cake I've said good things about. Also got a single chocolate chip cookie...REALLY good. Also got a slice of the opera cake...it was rich ..I liked it...husband didn't for no specific reason. Easy in and out parking is great and store has SO many selections...great for walk ins. Prices are very reasonable compared to others in city.

I've been coming to this bakery for over 15 years and they consistently have some of the best tres leches cake. They have two varieties either the passion fruit or plain. It's always fresh and well made. It comes in either a loaf size or cake, my family prefers the loaf and for under $10 it's always a hit. They also have a freshly made spanikopita that I get regularly.

My husband wanted a Strawberry Shortcake for his birthday. Our usual go to is in the Southside so this year we wanted to try a bakery more local. The website of this place was great. I called the day before to make sure they'd have the specific cake I was looking for and they told me they always have that cake so I didn't need to put one on hold. Parking was easy. Walked in, took a number but it was unnecessary. Got my cake and asked if they could write something on it. She said it was an extra $2 and considering I had bought a Happy Birthday cake topper I passed. The cake looked great and my child kept sweeping and the outside whip cream. The cake itself was not so great. I dont think the strawberries were fresh, just preserves. Cake was not moist. Noone asked for seconds. Oh well. Maybe I'll try their cookies next time.

Bought 6 cupcakes over the weekend from Chicago Sweet Connection. The cupcakes were not moist, the cake itself was not great, but the frosting was good. I figured since this was a large operation, that most of the sweets would be great. I cannot recommend this location for cupcakes.

I've been a customer of almost 10 years and have been obsessed since they first opened their doors at a different location. I literally live an hour away without traffic and even longer with traffic, but I make sure to stop by or send someone else to get it for me at least once a month or more. I love the amazing cakes that are so delicious and unique but on top of that, it is Asian owned, LGBTQ supporting, etc. A lot has changed since their little storefront with no seating. The bakery is now a full on cafe and I'm so happy to see how much they've grown and how successful they are. And while it is glorious, I will say I miss the sweet neighborhood charm and great customer service it used to have. Getting in touch with the bakery through phone or text can be tough and to be honest, sometimes one of the people working there is kind of...very mean. It had me questioning if I should keep coming back. I just love this bakery so much though and being raised by parents that had a small food business, I can't help but want to support. I had a particularly difficult last minute request for the bakery a few weeks ago and I was reminded why this place is so great. It had been YEARS since I made this specific request, which was an order for a slice of cake for every flavor and a cupcake for every flavor. This is a BIG and time consuming request, especially if it's last minute. Unfortunately I come to the city whenever the traffic isn't atrocious, so it's always last minute. Dom absolutely pulled through though. Even though there were other employees there (I saw two others but one disappeared and then another male was kind of walking around the cafe and such), Dom took this giant request and fulfilled it himself. The other gentleman (not the mean person previously mentioned) was actually who I made the request to, but he told Dom to do it. I was kind of confused why they didn't do it together but idk, maybe the other guy isn't allowed to handle food? Who knows. Regardless, this request obviously took a long time and the line was getting longer; people were getting a little restless but Dom stayed calm but was swift. I swear he was moving faster than most people in the industry could with a cake knife like that. He was not impatient or rude to me at all. He was just there to do his job as fast and well as possible. It's so rare to see that type of work ethic. He is also so obviously proud of the bakery and the food they serve which makes you feel good about being a patron there. So although I continue to have an unpleasant experience with one particular employee there, Dom keeps my love for this bakery alive. He reminds me of what this bakery was like when they first opened their doors. I hope Dom is cherished there and I bet he is considering his work ethic. I will continue to support this bakery and I recommend everyone else to support as well. It may not be that small little shop anymore but Dom is a reminder of the heart of the place.

Don't fret! But waiting 2 hours in line for this on a weekday morning and knowing this spot has 2 michelin stars, i had higher expectations - i wouldn't say anything is particularly memorable and nothing was perfect except for the ube & huckleberry basque cake; the dishes were either lacking in flavor or texture - service was quick and welcoming - very homey cozy ambiance with tons of natural lighting; i felt so comfortable dining here - the most surprising part is this place being so hyped up when anything in la & ny could easily taste better and more authentic IG: @nom.noms.only

Let me tell you, it was all I hoped it could be and more. The storefront was pretty small with a few tables- between the size, hours, and popularity (they were only open a few days a week and closed at 2pm), I suspected that the shop sold out often. I went on a weekday and there was still a good selection of pastries left around 11am. The staff was super nice and helpful as I struggled to make a decision. They shared that the strawberry milk croissant was their bestseller, so I opted for that. It was filled with fresh strawberry mascarpone and fresh strawberry puree. Despite the croissant's decadent appearance, it was not at all too sweet. I'm not typically the biggest croissant fan (I know, I know, no one is perfect) but this pastry blew me away. The filling was super generous without overpowering the delicate dough, which was baked to crispy perfection.
