Great service, great people, appreciated that they did the work that they quoted for the price of $35 a key which everywhere else was a $100 or more. Thank you- Linda BONUS- GREAT DOGS read more

Everything was fine until I arrived home and noticed my invoice and receipt showed two different totals. It is illegal in the State of CA. to charge a surcharge on a credit card; look it up online! I worked for a credit card company for about a year so I know this is not legal. I spent $220, they charged me almost a $7 surcharge for using a credit card. No formal PRINTED disclosure on the invoice or receipt, and NO DISCLOSURE before I used the card. Just some funky hand-written circle on the front of the invoice that had the last 4 digits of my credit card number, a new amount, and a cryptic W/CC Fee - WTF! Think about how much they rob customers each day with this little game. read more

Great service and very friendly environment! They were so helpful and even over the phone were able to give an accurate quote. They fixed our fob and copied it/programmed it so fast. Their office dogs were the cutest while we waited! Quality service and very fair pricing! 100/10 recommend. read more

Freddy came by to check out our backyard, flood door lock that was malfunctioning. He tried to fix it with parts in his van but ultimately needed to order a replacement. This arrives in less than a week. Freddy returned, fixed the back door lock and even repaired a messed up strike plate I attempted to install this year on the front door. I made a mess of the door jamb and there was a gap in the door seal - allowing external air to get in and jeopardizing safety as the door moved even in locked position. Freddy cleaned it all up for me in 30 minutes. We will always recommend Redwood Lock to anyone looking for a locksmith! read more

I came here a while ago and while I was there the two gentlemen that waited on me were really nice and they did what I wanted them to do with my keys because I owned a Ford fiesta they knew exactly what to do. Came here to fix our car key and get an extra one. Everything was done super quick! It all took them no longer than 10 minutes. They were very friendly and super professional. They also have two adorable golden retrievers. Buck and Bear ( 4 and 8 years old). The most friendly one of them was the Bear. He stole my heart. Best service, would definitely recommend. read more

These people absolutely Rock!! I went by their new location on Redwood Drive (in the Walmart parking lot). When I walked in I was greeted and informed that they were not open yet but were expected to be open by Monday. I was given their current location on Commerce. I was more than happy to go by there but asked real quickly if they could make this certain key for me. Dave came out and said yes and that he would make it right then. I didn't want to inconvenience him so I told him it was fine and that I would go to their other location. Dave said he had his mobile vehicle so would do it right then! This made my day. Dave saved me a trip and I got a key that won't constantly come off the key ring. (My prior key had a rubber top with a slit in it which made it constantly come off the ring). I cannot tell you how many times that key has become lost and then you play find the key for half an hour. Thank you for your excellent service and for being there again for us!! read more

My wife and I bought some very nice French doors, one of the locks stopped working. Unfortunately they were out of warranty so I called Redwood Lock. We set a date for a technician to come out. Freddy the tech arrived, did an analysis and fixed it! Our house is secure once again, thanks to Redwood Lock! The best part, the price was amazingly reasonable! Jason of Redwood Lock, was very Efficient and professional and completed the job in a timely fashion.

We recently had a set of car keys stolen and needed a replacement and delete the stolen key. They originally quoted me a price but when they came out to try the new key they said it would be $80 dollars cheaper than what they thought. They could have charged me the original price but were very honest and didn't take advantage of us. I highly recommend this business for their honesty and service. read more

I called them at 9am yesterday morning when neither my wife nor I could manually lock our front door. They had a technician out to my home at 11am!! He examined the door and showed me four separate things that were wrong and then proceeded to fix them all in 40 minutes. I was left with a door that opens and locks easier and better than it has since the house was new 45 years ago. I'm totally impressed with their professionalism and customer service. Their charges were very reasonable for what they did. read more

I was directed to this wonderful local business by an employee at Lowe's because they didn't carry the type of car key that I needed. My son had just bought a car, and the two keys that were provided were so heavily worn that they didn't work in the door locks anymore. Thomas Martin, the Automotive Specialist, met me at the counter, so I knew I was in good hands. He forewarned me that the lock might be too worn to yield a good copy but said he would give it his best effort. Within 15 minutes, he was able to grind two perfect copies from the originals for under $10. The next day, my son accidentally used the key to MY car to try to start his own car. It started, but the key was stuck in the ignition. Thomas saved the day once again, showing my son how to free the key with simple tools and not charging him for his time! These are the kinds of local businesses that we need to support in Sonoma County: family owned and operated, professionally staffed, courteous, and scrupulously honest. Bonus: they have a team of friendly dogs behind the counter who will come out to greet you when you arrive. read more

Redwood Lock to the rescue. Professionals always know it better. I took 2 new locks to them yesterday. Thinking I was swapping out with the same brand I could do myself. One went okay. The other not so much. Freddie just left and got everything all sorted out. Thank you, sir. There's a reason they do that for a living. Call them if you want it done right. read more

These guys did a great job! I couldn't find a locksmith close to me that would show up when the said they would. So they made almost a 4 hour roundtrip to help me out. I had a A++ positive experience at all stages of this project which was a rekeying of our locks after moving to a new home. From Amber in the front office going the extra mile to get info to and from my home warranty company to Freddy the locksmith who did an excellent job, it was a great experience overall. Freddy rekeyed all the locks so they open with a single key and adjusted the doors and locks to work perfectly. He also gave me a bunch of tips and information about my brand of locks and doors for future use. Awesome guys! Thank you! read more

I once lost the only key fob and key to my car and they came to me in Petaluma and had me up and running in no time! Amazing mobile service and very reasonable. My last factory made key fob wore out and they were able to quickly make me a replacement at half the price I was quoted anywhere else. No need to go to a dealership! read more

After calling a recommended locksmith who refused to return my calls, I called Redwood Lock. I live in Sebastopol. My car's battery had died for an extended period of time and all of my programmable keys would not work. They came out that day. Technician was prompt and very knowledgeable of my Jaguar. He programmed the keys, though it took him to attempts to get them all to work, but they worked perfectly at the end. I've used them in the past when I needed to have a house re-keyed and again they were prompt clearly understood what I needed them to do. I would definitely recommend this business. read more

After a quick google search, I hopped on the phone with redwood lock and key and was put through to Thomas. Within a few hours he was at our house had our keys cut and working like new again. No need to swap out the ignition cylinder or anything else. He was a super professional guy ,pleasant to talk with , and had an incredibly organized clean mobile shop van. I have used Redwood Locks services before for business to business use, It turned out I needed them for personal use at my home. I was moving and misplaced my keys for my locks on my boat trailer, utility trailer, and my ball mount. I will continue to highly recommend Redwood Lock to my customers, family and friends. read more

Second time used their services - had new vehicle keys made by staff member Jordon - he was very conscientiously during the entire process - David, the owner, was very informative about the process, the three dogs were wonderfully calming (I had many treats for them) - earlier in the day Jason, another staffer, came out punctually to redo a home door lock - all in all the jobs well done - will call them a third time when the need rises / read more

I called Redwood Lock for an emergency. My summer home had to be rekeyed because of a neighbor. Unfortunately, I was only going to be up here today. Long over due review. This happened in July 2024 I cannot say enough about Dave and his staff at Redwood Locksmith. This review is a testament to their incredible service and dedication. On a Tuesday morning, they serviced the locks at my daughter's business, Supportive Steps Servicez. The technician was professional and efficient. Later that day, after my 35-foot travel trailer was stolen in June and recovered, I needed all the locks replaced. I called Redwood Locksmith again and spoke with Sara, who coordinated with Dave. They generously allowed me to leave my trailer on their property overnight and took care of it first thing Wednesday morning. When I couldn't get a tow service in time, Dave even offered to tow my trailer to storage with his personal vehicle for a much more reasonable price. Despite dealing with their own challenges from a recent fire, Dave, Sara, Amber, and Dave's son went above and beyond to assist me. Their work ethics, compassion, and willingness to help are unmatched. I will always recommend Redwood Locksmith and am forever grateful for their kindness and generosity. read more

Top notch service from start to finish! We needed a car key made (with an attached fob) because it was destroyed in machinery at work. Connie was very kind on the phone, and patient as we talked about options. I called a few times with questions about a warranty, and mostly the reliability of aftermarket replacements. I was a bit taken aback when I learned that at their price, I could buy almost 3 aftermarket keys (!) compared with the replacement price (I called) at the dealership! Wow... The job was done, the key works just as it should, and this locksmith now has our business. A local business with honest people, doing a great job at a fair price. Oh yeah, and the dogs are definitely a bonus! read more
