***UPDATE*** Another company did the work that this company quoted me $1200 on, for $450 and they did a great job. Never made it past the quote. They wanted $1200 to do an initial cleanup in my yard and then $120 per service for bi-weekly maintenance. $1200 for any cleanup on a residential property is a flat out robbery, it's a joke. Not one landscape company had ever charged me that much money for a cleanup, not even remotely close. My advice would be to find another company that charges fair prices. read more

Redwood Landscaping, a business that is licensed bonded and insured, did a paver project for me in the fall of 2022. Redwood landscaping shorted me out of 400 square feet of pavers. The overall cost of the paver project was $14,000. I had staked out and tied orange yarn around the area to be pavered. I had to go to work before the paver personnel had completed the job. It was dark when I returned. It was not until I had assembled two pergolas on the pavers that I had realized I had been shorted 400 ft.² of pavers. I contacted Walter to let him know about his company's error. He was not able to rectify the paver situation until February 2023. I had not bolted down the pergolas. The pergolas were to be bolted down in the area of the 400 ft.² paver shortage. in January 2023 a gust of wind blew down the two pergolas. The pergolas could not be repaired. I suffered a loss of $3000 plus in pergola damage because Redwood landscaping shorted me of 400 ft.² of pavers. I am not in the landscaping business but from here on I will make sure I have somebody follow up on landscaping companies for me because they cannot be trusted! You should do the same! We just completed a landscaping job with Redwood Landscape. We could write a very long list of all the great things they accomplished. The work began with a consultation with Walter. He was honest about different types of vegetation and made recommendations based on quality, climate and attractiveness. He assisted with design in the front and back yards. We had worked with a different landscape company prior to this and he helped us remedy the deficiencies while improving the visual appeal and adding drains on both sides of our house. Redwood Landscaping did an amazing job in our backyard. We had pavers, lighting, electricity, drip system and French drains installed along with pet turf. They installed my Italian cypresses and chaste tree with rolling mounds and boulders. The crew showed up on time everyday and left my premises clean. I've had many contractors where they didn't bother to sweep or pick up their trash. When my dog ate the pea gravel (about 3 lbs and a $6k vet bill), Walter and his crew came over immediately and removed the gravel and replaced it with larger gravel. And we had a lot of gravel! Customer service is impeccable. Their office assistant, Flavia is a pleasure to work with. After a couple of heavy rains, my yard did not flood. Thank goodness for the drains. After the installation of my patio covers that company tried to put back the pavers but they didn't do it right. We called Walter and his crew came out to replace the pavers properly as a customer service courtesy. You won't be disappointed. We found Redwood landscaping thru BBB . Walter the owner did excellent job extending driveway pavers and creating sidewalk. In addition they installed our artificial grass and truly did everything what we asked for . Walter was punctual and professional. Extremely disappointed with this companies customer service. This company came highly recommended from another neighbor within our community and they do have several good reviews. I set up two separate estimate appointments and no one showed for either of them. After the first no-show appointment, I wanted to give the company the benefit of the doubt (due to the recommendation) so I went ahead with contacting them again to attempt set up one last appointment. Customer service apologized and offered a discount on my estimate, setting up a second appointment. Frustratingly, no one showed again. Beware this company dented my RV and left without saying anything. I asked the foreman on my next service date and he admitted he did it and said he was sorry. I told him I would have to tell his boss. I got a call from the owner who denied everything. I have also had broken sprinklers and cut bubblers after service. read more

I can't speak to how well his service is, as it is my neighbor that hired him, but I can tell you that if you do hire him, your neighbors might not like you anymore. He uses blowers, as most landscaping companies do, but I don't think that they blow all the yard debris into the back corner of the yard and then blow it over the fence into the neighbor's yard and pool. I've asked the workers on two different occasions to stop doing it, and then I called him. He proceeded to advise me that since they were blowing it and not stepping foot on my property, that it's okay for them to do it. If I were not a nice person, I would take all my yard waste to his house and blow it onto his yard, hmmmm I wonder if he has a pool. JK! And I don't promote that type of behavior. read more

Super surprised by their lack of customer service after reading all their positive reviews. I first called this company about 3 weeks ago and left a voicemail to have someone call me back to come out and give us an estimate for our backyard at our new house. I waited about a week and didn't receive a call back. I called again and spoke to a lady over the phone. She was very distracted talking to other people while trying to talk to me at the same time. She didn't give me much information and scheduled to have someone come out yesterday between 3-4pm. No one showed up and no one called me. Very frustrating to have someone scheduled to come to your home, take off work and deal with a no-show. It is all over their website that they "actually show up" for appointments. I called this morning and left a voicemail to find out what happened and to see if we can get my appointment rescheduled. I still have not heard anything back from the company. I called 6 different businesses in attempt to find someone to take care of our backyard at our second home in Tempe - pavers, rocks, plants and repair the drip system. Redwood was the only company where a person actually answered the phone. None of the others even bothered to return my call. Without hesitation I was told Walter would come the day before this past Thanksgiving. He showed up on time, gave us great suggestions, was polite and friendly, and gave me an estimate on the spot and I received an official estimate via email the same day. We weren't able to have the work done until January but we were able to find dates that worked for both of us. Every phone call or email was promptly returned when I had a question or wanted to change our original design, etc. Walter and his crew showed up as promised and completed the work within the number of days promised.
