This company becoming my go to for regular landscape maintenance. This is third or fourth time I've used them to come out and do some general maintenance on the plants as well as inspection and tuneup on my drip system. They've always arrived on time with the appropriate number of people to do the job, and they get it done and go over and above to make sure I'm satisfied. Prices are fair for the amount of time it takes them to do what I asked. My plan is to ask them going forward to help me with landscape design and implementation as well as maintenance. I was initially excited to see their website and to visit with the people who answered questions. They asked me to send photos of my yard and let them know what I wanted. I did so and got an initial estimate. I then asked for them to also plant flowers. I sent them several photos of flowers to let them know what I wanted. I was told that I would get an estimate, and that was not timely received. When I contacted them, they said that they would have to me by noon that day. When I called a couple of days later, they said that someone would have to come to my house to inspect in person, and the fee would be $97.00. I tried to talk reasonably with someone from the firm, but she simple repeated the standard line. I needed immediate attention, and now I am weeks along with a yard that does not look good, will likely get me a notice from the homeowner's association, and will now cost more to get taken care of. I am disappointed with the lack of timely response and the surprising insistence on a fee for an inspection. While the person I spoke with on the phone was polite, she made no offer for accommodation. read more

Upon researching home irrigation companies online, I discovered Yard Experts who boasted a large number of highly positive reviews. I had already had two previous companies inspect my property and provide estimates, but I had concerns and doubts that prevented me from moving forward with them. I found the entire Yard Experts organization and especially it's owner, Raul Chacon, to be exceptionally polite, curious, punctual, knowledgeable, and informative. He not only made meaningful recommendations; he carefully explained why his suggestions were important, relevant, and necessary. He patiently answered all of my questions to my full satisfaction. The estimated costs were fully laid out in advance and explained to me in detail. The team of workers who followed to complete the project were also kind, polite, respectful, and extremely hard working. Not only did they do an excellent job, they made a huge effort to meticulously clean up after themselves. I have worked with the yard experts for more than 3 years at my property here in San Tan. Let me fill you in on their cancelation policy. I received an email on Sunday stating I had service the following day (Monday). I immediately replied to the email saying I needed to reschedule because my yard was not accessible. Well Monday morning comes around and I get a call saying I will be charged a cancellation fee for the reschedule. Because they need 24 hours notice. They got their 24 hour notice. But because they aren't open on Sunday it doesn't matter. Even though they emailed me about my up coming service. That's not my fault. I fired them, I will happily take my business else where. I do not recommend this company. They obviously don't give a shit about customers. I suggest they change their policy. I should also share that I have maybe once or twice ever had to reschedule. This is not a common occurrence but it was enough for me to get ride of them. read more

I have used this company for over 7 years and I am very pleased with their communication, response time, workmanship and professionalism. On Jan. 25th they sent 2 guys to pick up an enormous amount of overgrown landscape trash. They did it quickly, cleaned up all the debris and checked out with me to make sure they did not miss anything. On Feb. 5th they came out to replace a leaking irrigation valve, in no time my system was up an running again. I am an all around handy man and can take on projects but our daily schedule does not allow us to do so much so we leave it to the experts. They NO LONGER warranty their services. I had them come out in December to spray my yard for pre-emergent for my weeds. 2 months later my weeds are back and they no longer warranty their services. Now they want to bill me to come back out and do the ""clean up" for what should have lasted 6 months. I asked them to trim a vine I had growing in my side yard as it had grown outside the area I wanted it. Instead, they chopped in half. They left it looking like a sorry mess. I was not pleased with the job when it was complete. I was not home for the service and when I arrived home my yard looked the same. I could not tell that work had been done. They were hired to cut my trees and they only clipped the bottom parts. I will never use this company again. You can feel free to upload the pictures. The service was not done correctly the tree was the main reason I sent you out to my property. I expressed that I needed it cut as low as possible the trees are not cut properly. Due to confusing wording on the estimate, I was under the impression that I was going to have my yard maintained at a cost of $45/hour for a crew of 3. I didn't realize that the cost was actually per person, so I ended up paying $137 for just one visit! I hired The Yard Experts nearly three years ago to care for my lawn while I was away on military duty. The first year their customer service and lawn maintenance was great. The next year the lawn service plummeted; I was paying them to mow 2/3 of an acre of DEAD grass and had dead trees. Needless to say the management wasn't monitoring the crews and their work. When I reported my findings, they made good and credited me a month of service, but did I mention it also cost me a few $600/mo water bills? Unfortunately, this last year, the customer service and maintenance is worse. I was recently charged for pre-emergent treatment, but later told I needed weed control for yet an additional cost...HUH? I hired The Yard Experts to replenish some gravel in my yard and install a winter lawn. I instructed them to use gravel that was identical to the one we already have. The gravel they installed was much bigger and of a different color and it does not match the exterior paint on our house. I called them back and asked that they replace the gravel with the proper one, but they responded that they wouldn't because this was the gravel we had agreed upon. They did refund the cost of the labor for the gravel replenishment, but it will now cost me 5-7 times as much to replace the gravel. I do not recommend this landscaper. If you do decide to hire them for any type of gravel installation or replenishment, make sure you're getting the gravel you want or buy it yourself. But really, there are much more experienced and better landscapers out there, so just pick another one. read more

Our 2nd monthly front and back yard maintenance service was completed yesterday. The "dynamic duo", Kaleb and Mike, did an excellent job. It was the best yard care that we have ever had. We thought that our first service was good but these guys exceeded our expectations. Everything was perfect, including leaving our in-ground pool as they found it - no debris. The team was willing to do extra work (remove a small bush/tree). They also found a leak that we would never of discovered due to the location. Again, they were more than happy to fix the problem for us. Great customer service. We have been very impressed by the company as a whole. So if you have a leak, be prepared to have to turn off your irrigation water before they can come out and repair the item. They get booked pretty quickly, but are honest about their schedule. My husband and I bought a new home in San Tan Valley and The Yard Experts came recommended by a co-worker. We started with a blank slate. I called for an estimate and Kyle was here the next day. He listened to a couple of our wants then pulled out his magic can of orange paint and went to work. A desert theme in the making. A couple days later we went to the nursery and picked out our plants, signed the deal and was scheduled to be done 4 days later. The crew was amazing. Very hard workers. They were faced with a few challenges like the hardest rain we have seen in May since 1951. Needless to say our back yard became a lake and work was put to a halt. The next morning their crew chief came out and decided to get a pump to drain all the water so that it would dry faster. Thanks to the Arizona sun it dried and 3 days later work resumed. They do great work when they actually do it. Used them for a cleanup and then started maintenance after being impressed with their work. They skipped touching our yard during one scheduled maintenance, presumably because it already looked fine but we noticed. When bringing this up, they stated they had definitely done the work because their GPS showed them there. They sent a QA person out to check who confirmed the yard was done because of all the dye in our yard - only problem being there was none. After further discussion, we actually met with their QA person who stated if they were to have done the maintenance they obviously didn't do much at all. Rather than making it right and comping the next maintenance they decided that half off the next service was the only thing they could do. Wouldn't even send someone out to spray. Left us the choice of paying 150% for one maintenance or cancel without any compensation. Terrible customer service, much better service with a more reasonable price out there. The huge problem is there a time frame....It took two weeks to get on the schedule for them to come give us a quote for what we were wanting done. Then once we signed off on the estimate we were scheduled out 4 weeks till they were able to start the work. This was a total of 6 weeks just to see anything get done. They came back with an outrageous quote, and added lots of extra things on that I did not ask them to do, such as spraying chemicals in my yard. When I told them, no, I only what specific items done, not a bunch of things I can do myself, they came back and told me they were to busy to do my yard. I was all for 5 stars on this company THEN we receive an email rates going up from $70 to $90 per month in 2019. We have 1 bush in the front yard they trim, last visit was not needed.The others they are supposed to do Spring well we never got to that, rate increase cannot afford. Backyard has minimal shrubs we have a pool. The company say's they are here over the time allowed. Good grief 40 mins last few visit, yes I do watch them take photos on their I Pads off before and after and know when they arrive and leave. I am sad this company had to result to such drastic rise in their prices. I spoke to Wendy and by the next morning they where there at my house to give me a quote and help me with the disaster of a yard that I had from previous landscapers. The price they quoted was very competitive and the work they did was timely and very professional, they even gave me a discount for my husband's service in the military! Some of these reviews here aren't very helpful since I have had my yard previously serviced by some of the landscapers that have 5 stars here in Yelp in the Queen Creek area and TRUST ME they didn't even deserve one star!
