On 4 separate occasions they damaged things (most recent they set blower or one of their pieces of equipment on the ground and it melted my grass turf, during other services they also sliced metal outdoor light when trimming, plants died after they serviced and chopped security sign in half). Tree Trimming Experience: Montoya's team was very responsive both times I've requested quote from them. Even though I did not end up using them the first time, they were very courteous and quickly provided a quote both times. The second time I requested a quote we decided to work with Montoya's Landscaping. They did an amazing job cutting down the dates and trimming the hanging branches and the protruding stems from old branches. They did a wonderful job cleaning up, taking away all branches and removed practically all the fallen dates. We've had situations where the clean up was not up to par. I came across this business at a time I was in dire need of help as my sprinkler system has not worked in a couple of weeks. This creep has cost me a small fortune to fix what he screwed up. He laid pavers on my back patio and it caved in once and he "fixed" it, and after I fired him, my patio sunk. I have competent people fixing it now, but it is costing a lot of money because this idiot con used cement and did not shore it up properly. They will have to use a jack hammer to remove the cement. I am thoroughly disgusted with Raul. I had to replace my drip system to the tune of $4,400 and now another several thousand dollars to fix my back patio. BEWARE of this con. My husband spoke with Raul on Monday and arranged for he and his brother to come on Thursday at 6:30 AM. He was there actually early and the both of them started on my severely neglected landscaping. They trimmed multiple trees, cacti, bushes, cleaned up the grounds, and for the amount of work that they did, it was excellent. I felt that the price I paid was well worth it seeing is that my landscaping was neglected for so long. We are going to reach out to him towards the end of the year to remove a really messy tree in our yard which I know will be a huge project. An outstanding job! I have lived in the valley for over 35 years and have contracted with several landscaping companies for various jobs. Montoya's Landscaping is by far the best. On time, resonably priced, very efficient, and most importantlly he delivered what was discussed. I had a large section of yard which was bare due to the shading of a huge ficus tree. Raul and his crew removed mountains of weeds as well as a large border of blocks and bricks, designed a new brick border, refurbished the sprinkler and drip system, planted several lantana and and laid several tons of dirt and gravel. At the end of the day everything was left clean...including the front street where dirt had been brought in...and my backyard looks fabulous! OK so we bought a new house and the drip system was all messed up. Somehow I found these guys, and I am so thankful I did. They came on time, they did what they said they would, they tested the system, they reviewed everything with me, they respected the property and they are simply good guys. Pretty much the antithesis of any contractor these days. They did it promptly (I called other places and got the whole "we can look at it in a month" crap) as we were leaving for an extended time and were concerned about new plantings.
