After setting up an appointment for noon on Wednesday, Stewart called me about 15 minutes in advance while he was on his way to my house, inquiring if I tried the reset button in the garage? Problem solved. Not only that, he explained in detail why. He insisted on not accepting any payment from me, even after I asked to pay for his time, given that he was on his way and had taken the time to explain. The cost was reasonable and actually less than I had anticipated it being, the delivery and pickup were at the exact time that was promised, and you can tell from speaking with them....it's just a company run by genuine and very real human beings. I explained the issue and what i thought the problem would be thanks to Google and You Tube. He said it did sound like the problem. His incredibly reasonable diagnosis fee made it a no brainer to have him come out. Made appointment but he called a day before letting me know he was sick and he would let me know would he would be available. Took a few days but he came by, confirmed the issue and replaced the parts, etc. quickly and efficiently. He also did some other clean up in the dryer since he had it all opened and told me everything else looked good. Dryer is now running great and it saved me both the cost and headache of a new dryer. I should also mention he took a look at my range and oven at no cost and gave me his honest feedback. Both are working now, but have issues from time to time. He told me due to the age, it would be hard to find the necessary parts if things started to get worse. He did mention some options but was honest about the probability of it being successful. I appreciated his honesty. As you can tell, I'm extremely happy with my experience. The cost was extremely reasonable. I also love to support local smaller businesses. Definitely give Anton and his company a call if you have any repair needs. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

They also wore shoes in the house the whole time. I don't even wear shoes in my house it's filthy! I remopped my downstairs alone and this was the color of the bucket when I was done - BLACK. Easy to say I will not be using them again. So disappointing Responding to the owners response - the team did NOT clean it three times that you claim. They wiped over it once if that with a 4x4 rag. This review is for carpet cleaning only…read more I got several quotes for carpet cleaning and decided to go with ALF because they were more affordable and had good reviews. Unfortunately I do regret this decision. There were several large spot stains left by former roommates that ALF was unable to get out of my carpet, which is unfortunate but understandable as those stains were quite old. What is not fine is that they ended up leaving many brownish splotchy stains on my upstairs carpet that were not there before! My upstairs carpet looks so much worse than before the cleaning. The upstairs carpet texture also felt "crunchy" after the cleaning, like there was chemical residue left in it. The cleaning also somehow surfaced a brown stain in the master bedroom carpet that was not there before. The service was also very meh. They missed their first appointment and did not even notify me until I asked about it and rescheduled to a different day. It ended up working out in my case, but might be inconvenient if you're taking off work or if you moved all the furniture already in anticipation of them coming. When finished, the techs told me the carpet would take 7-10 hours to dry when they left, but it actually took 24-48 hours. The techs also dumped DIRTY CARPET WATER ON MY LAWN?? Leaving large hunks of carpet fibers on the grass?? Excuse me. You could dump it somewhere where it might not kill a lawn. When contacted about the stains they left behind, the lady scheduled a free follow up (which again had to be rescheduled) and assured me that these were shampoo residue stains that could be removed. The techs came out again and spent 2 more hours working on the stains. I do appreciate the service, and feel bad for how much time and effort the techs spent but... it did absolutely nothing! The ugly stains are still there. They told me to pull the curtains and not to let the sun shine on it while drying, which I did, and also blew giant fans at the carpet to help it dry faster... nope, still splotchy and crunchy all over. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the downstairs carpets do seem mostly OK (except the new stain in master bedroom) and feel cleaner than before, and because they did schedule a follow up very quickly. But personally, I would never use this company again. Here's to hoping their other cleaning services are better than their carpet services. Take heed.
