I have *extremely* high standards for how my house is cleaned, and this is the only service in the Bay Area that fit the bill. Nini and Liliana have been fantastic. They have been so good at taking feedback, and you don't have to mention things to them twice -- often, they'll remember something I wanted during a previous cleaning and will just do it again unasked. They're amazing at remembering particularities like how we prefer to store our laundry baskets, how we like our clothes folded, the order in which we prefer our rooms to be cleaned, etc. We like our surfaces (including floors) to be so clean, you can take a finger to it and dust won't come up. Can't tell you how many other cleaners we went through that couldn't meet this bar, but VIP Leon does. Can't recommend them enough. (Note that we pay by the hour to get this level of cleaning. If you have exacting cleaning standards too, any place that charges a flat rate-- while good enough for most people-- won't cut it. They all cut corners.) read more

I hired VIP last July. Scheduling was easy and the cleaners were professional and worked very hard, and most of their work looked great, but there were a few issues. There were some challenges with understanding each other, so I didn't realize some things I asked for weren't done, even though they were here twice as long as what was quoted. The floors were cleaned with a spray cleaner and a rag instead of a more thorough mopping. Whatever was used to clean the oven wasn't cleaned out and filled the house with fumes the next time I used the oven, and I had to clean it again myself. The drain stopper in one sink was left stuck in the drain and I had to hire a plumber to come fix it. I found the corner broken off a ceramic picture frame on my dresser after they left. read more

After a few days I noticed that the carpet had shrunk and was not flush to the walls anymore. I contacted the owner Juan, and he states that it was not due to their workers/services, so what could it have been then? Carpet doesn't just magically shrink.. My carpet was perfectly fine before the cleaning and I even sent him pictures from before that were used for the estimates showing a time stamp and how it did not look like that but he was still persistent about it not being caused by the cleaners.. Also wouldn't the workers have noted that the carpet was already damaged like that before the cleaning if that was the case? VERY unprofessional in my opinion. read more

Giving 2 starts because they get an "E" for effort! Contacted the company via YELP and got a response fairly quickly with a decent price. They landed right in the middle on price from others that responded, and they were available when i needed the service, so i proceeded to book an appointment. I requested a call 30 mins prior to the 8 am. arrival time to confirm they were on the way. I got a call at 8:15 saying that they would be late (oh ya think??l). First strike. At 8:45, they arrived in a small van with all the contraptions! Not the usual vacuum truck that one woulld expect. No, they had to hall peices upstairs and connect things and take buckets of water from MY bathtub and carry throughout my home. (see photos) This was not AT ALL what I was expecting. The cleaner they used has an extremely strong smell, and I had to ask them to open every window and reduce the amount they were using because it was horrible! Strike Two. Lastly, no one who arrived at my home spoke any English. we literally had to communicate using Google translate on our phones. I don't need everyone to be fluent in English, but at least have a conversational level of understanding the language when in business and / or alert the customer before sending the workers out to clients' homes. In the end, my carpet was clean, but I later noticed several spots that were missed. I dare not call them back to get the places they missed! Never again. read more

After a while you read enough reviews that you start to worry if you will either be disappointed with the service or you will be charged for every little thing. Not with VIP though. She was on time, stuck to her original quote, and continued to work until the job was done. I started feeling bad after a 5 hour turned into 7.5 job, but she wanted to make sure the job was done right. We have 3400 sqft house with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and they look great.
