If your an early bird Redwood Cafe is the place for you, opens at 7 other places open later. Portions were hefty, service is friendly, coffee flows. This cafe has that cozy country charm.

Soooooo good! Loved this home town vibe and cute little bar area to sit at. The eggs Benedict was the best I've had. It's definitely my go to spot forever now!

On our way to Hearst castle, we stopped by for breakfast. The positive- the breakfast burrito portion was large and the taste not so bad. The potatoes were a tad bland but not a deal breaker. All went smoothly and now, here's the downside- right around the time we were finishing our meal, we found a black ant in our ice water. I told the server. She didn't flinch and still charged us the full price for our meal- no apology, no anything.

Came in on our last day of our trip to grab a late breakfast before hitting the road. Redwood had a good variety of breakfast options that caught our eye. Easy parking in their lot and quickly dat outside. Service was okay, not overly friendly but quick and checked in a lot. We started with some hot chocolates since it was a cool morning and tried the breakfast burrito and the huevos rancheros. Both had great flavor and served quick, potatoes were lackluster though. Overall a nice spot with quick yummy food.

Came for breakfast for our weekend getaway and the breakfast was spot on! I was craving eggs Benedict and these were absolutely delicious! The yolk and crispy hashbrown were just absolutely chefs kiss Service was great and enjoyed a delicious quiet breakfast! Thank you.

I'm really surprised and confused by any negative reviews. We loved this place! We were worried it would be crowded, since we went on Sunday, but we got there early and were able to get a table. Service was friendly and fast, and the food was delicious!! I particularly recommend the eggs Benedict. Also, easy parking!

To be the food was so so, not a lot of flavor. I had coffee and it was just OK. I had a ham and cheese omelette had a nice amount, with average wheat toast and some fruit. Nice that that fruit was only an extra $2. Now my husband had the meat lovers omelette and loved it, with an English muffin and hash browns. Service was good, the ambience was ok, they had a cute old fashion stove and hutch. I went to the 1st bathroom, mistake, as there was no where to hang and purse or coat. My husband said the 2nd bathroom did.

Redwood Cafe is such a hidden gem. Delicious food and great service, a must trip in Cambria. The ambiance is cozy and family-friendly. There's also plenty of parking as they share a lot with other businesses. Shout-out to the staff for making my birthday trip so special

Mango Mimosa with half an orange Not too bad though.

Fast and friendly service at this little breakfast nook in Cambria. The food wasn't too shabby. I normally hate pancakes (unless I make em ) but theirs are really good. I ate my whole thing which again, isn't my norm. The sausage was tasty and so were the mimosas despite what seems to be an entire orange for the garnish Now, those grits could use a little work. In fact they could use a lot of work. You can't serve a Georgia girl bland undercooked grits! Ya just can't! I had to return them to be cooked completely and asked for salt to be used with some cheese added. They did cook them more but added a grain of salt and a few shreds of cheese. Lordt! I created good ol' southern grits out of them by adding scrambled eggs and pieces of sausage and bam--all better! This is, however, a place I'd come back to when in Cambria. You're welcome

For a breakfast place you can't beat it. Located in downtown (Eastside). Indoor and outside seating. It's a little off the Main Street so when outside not to noisy. Inside is very comfortable. I've eaten here twice - the food and service are very good. I'm a bacon, eggs, potatoes, toast, coffee guy and I enjoyed every bite.

I ordered the Greek Scramble with potatoes. I also tried the pancakes, which was fluffy and buttery. The food was decent and came out quickly. The food selection was huge and they have egg white options to substitute. There is also a kids menu. Service was a bit slow, from ordering to paying for the bill. The interior is small and they have outdoor seating as well. There is some parking available in the small plaza.

We were politely asked to leave. No fault of the restaurant whatsoever--it was just one of those surreal moments that perfectly captured the beginning of that crazy chapter in history. Fast forward six years... We randomly picked this place for dinner and, as soon as we walked in, we both looked at each other and said, "Wait... haven't we been here before?" Then it hit us. This was that restaurant. Apparently, we had unfinished business. This time, the universe finally let us eat. I ordered the Ortega burger with sweet potato fries, my wife had the patty melt with onion rings, and we took an order of linguini home for later. Every single bite was fantastic. The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely worth the six-year wait. The service was just as impressive. Karina was our waitress, and she was attentive, friendly, charming, and made us feel genuinely welcome. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend this place. And if you decide to eat here, there's a very good chance you'll get your food much sooner than we did... only six years ahead of schedule.

First, the value is excellent. My husband and I both ate for about $45 total, which is impressive considering Cambria is such a popular tourist destination. The service was fantastic. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. The restaurant itself has a fresh, inviting atmosphere, and the patio is beautiful. If the weather allows, I definitely recommend sitting outside. We ordered the Two Egg Breakfast and the Monterey Scramble. The Two Egg Breakfast was exactly what you'd want from a classic breakfast: simple, fresh, and well executed. The Monterey Scramble, however, completely stole the show. Let's start with the salsa. It was absolutely delicious. As someone who's Mexican, I tend to judge a breakfast place by its salsa because if the basics are done well, the rest of the meal usually follows. They nailed it. The pico de gallo was also fresh and flavorful and paired perfectly with the scramble. Overall, this is one of the most underrated restaurants in Cambria. I'm honestly surprised it doesn't get recommended more often, both by locals and online. If you're visiting the area, don't overlook this place. It's absolutely worth a stop.

In a world where restaurants and coffee shops can be wildly inconsistent, this place just keeps showing up and doing what it does best. My go-to is always the Baja Mocha. At this point, it's less of a coffee order and more of a long-term relationship. It's rich, smooth, perfectly balanced, and just spicy enough to keep things interesting. Every time I tell myself I should try something different, the Baja Mocha gives me that "Don't be ridiculous" look, and I happily order it again. A visit also isn't complete without grabbing a pound of whole beans to take home. That way, I can continue pretending my kitchen is a quaint little coffee shop instead of just... my kitchen. The café itself has a ton of character. It's on the cozy side, which means it can fill up quickly, especially during busy times. If you're looking for acres of seating and total silence, this probably isn't your spot. But if you're looking for exceptional coffee, a welcoming atmosphere, and a place that feels like a true local favorite, you'll understand why people keep coming back. The staff is always entertaining in the best possible way. They're friendly, have personality, and somehow manage to keep things moving even when the place is buzzing. It's the kind of coffee shop where the people behind the counter seem like they're genuinely enjoying themselves, and that energy rubs off on everyone else. If you're passing through Cambria or lucky enough to live nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. Just don't blame me when the Baja Mocha becomes your default order too. I tried branching out once... the Baja Mocha and I worked through it.

The service was not very efficient with the crowd. The barista asked many questions (decaf or regular, oat milk, whole milk, 2%, almond milk, which coffee bean, etc.), which made the line move very slowly. She also had to stop taking orders halfway to make drinks, making the long line to get even longer. There wasn't enough seating, so we decided to take our food to go. They can't help warm up our pastries and directed us to use the microwave and toaster oven ourselves. For the price of the pastries I paid, I expected better service rather than DIY. When the coffee was ready, they did call names but the place was so crowded, we all had to wait outside of the cafe. So many of customers had to come in and out several times to check on their orders. The coffee was also extremely hot and not drinkable right away. Overall slow service, crowded environment, messy flow. I wouldn't come back.

Now, full disclosure--I might be a little biased because Mexican food is my favorite cuisine. I grew up in Los Angeles, where finding incredible Mexican food isn't a challenge... it's practically a birthright. So when I say Medusa's is the real deal, I don't hand out that compliment lightly. My wife and I almost always order the Molcajete, and it's become our tradition. It's advertised as serving two people, and it absolutely does... assuming one of those people doesn't "accidentally" keep taking just one more bite. It's loaded with flavor, generous portions, and arrives at the table looking like it deserves its own introduction. The biggest surprise on this visit? The tortillas. They were fresh, homemade, and absolutely phenomenal. Maybe they've always made them from scratch and I somehow missed it, but this time they stole the show. They tasted just like the ones my abuelita used to make--warm, soft, and so good they almost made me forget there was an entire Molcajete sitting in front of me. One of my favorite things about Medusa's is that it's family-run, and you can feel it the moment you walk in. Everyone is genuinely welcoming, friendly, and makes you feel like you're more than just another table. That kind of hospitality is getting harder to find, and it makes the meal even better. I've eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants over the years, and Medusa's has earned a permanent spot near the top of my list. If you're in Cambria and craving authentic Mexican food, do yourself a favor and stop here. Just one piece of advice: don't fill up on the chips... no matter how much your stomach insists it's a great idea. Your future self will thank you when the Molcajete arrives.
