Soooooo good! Loved this home town vibe and cute little bar area to sit at. The eggs Benedict was the best I've had. It's definitely my go to spot forever now!

On our way to Hearst castle, we stopped by for breakfast. The positive- the breakfast burrito portion was large and the taste not so bad. The potatoes were a tad bland but not a deal breaker. All went smoothly and now, here's the downside- right around the time we were finishing our meal, we found a black ant in our ice water. I told the server. She didn't flinch and still charged us the full price for our meal- no apology, no anything.

Came in on our last day of our trip to grab a late breakfast before hitting the road. Redwood had a good variety of breakfast options that caught our eye. Easy parking in their lot and quickly dat outside. Service was okay, not overly friendly but quick and checked in a lot. We started with some hot chocolates since it was a cool morning and tried the breakfast burrito and the huevos rancheros. Both had great flavor and served quick, potatoes were lackluster though. Overall a nice spot with quick yummy food.

Came for breakfast for our weekend getaway and the breakfast was spot on! I was craving eggs Benedict and these were absolutely delicious! The yolk and crispy hashbrown were just absolutely chefs kiss Service was great and enjoyed a delicious quiet breakfast! Thank you.

I'm really surprised and confused by any negative reviews. We loved this place! We were worried it would be crowded, since we went on Sunday, but we got there early and were able to get a table. Service was friendly and fast, and the food was delicious!! I particularly recommend the eggs Benedict. Also, easy parking!

To be the food was so so, not a lot of flavor. I had coffee and it was just OK. I had a ham and cheese omelette had a nice amount, with average wheat toast and some fruit. Nice that that fruit was only an extra $2. Now my husband had the meat lovers omelette and loved it, with an English muffin and hash browns. Service was good, the ambience was ok, they had a cute old fashion stove and hutch. I went to the 1st bathroom, mistake, as there was no where to hang and purse or coat. My husband said the 2nd bathroom did.

Redwood Cafe is such a hidden gem. Delicious food and great service, a must trip in Cambria. The ambiance is cozy and family-friendly. There's also plenty of parking as they share a lot with other businesses. Shout-out to the staff for making my birthday trip so special

Mango Mimosa with half an orange Not too bad though.

Fast and friendly service at this little breakfast nook in Cambria. The food wasn't too shabby. I normally hate pancakes (unless I make em ) but theirs are really good. I ate my whole thing which again, isn't my norm. The sausage was tasty and so were the mimosas despite what seems to be an entire orange for the garnish Now, those grits could use a little work. In fact they could use a lot of work. You can't serve a Georgia girl bland undercooked grits! Ya just can't! I had to return them to be cooked completely and asked for salt to be used with some cheese added. They did cook them more but added a grain of salt and a few shreds of cheese. Lordt! I created good ol' southern grits out of them by adding scrambled eggs and pieces of sausage and bam--all better! This is, however, a place I'd come back to when in Cambria. You're welcome

For a breakfast place you can't beat it. Located in downtown (Eastside). Indoor and outside seating. It's a little off the Main Street so when outside not to noisy. Inside is very comfortable. I've eaten here twice - the food and service are very good. I'm a bacon, eggs, potatoes, toast, coffee guy and I enjoyed every bite.

This was a great spot for breakfast on our vacation in Cambria. We were sat right away on the patio since we had our dog with us. Service was quick and we got our food fast! I had an egg dish with potatoes (the potatoes were to die for) & my husband got the pancakes & eggs. The pancakes were standard, but delicious nonetheless. Would definitely recommend stopping in for breakfast. Great coffee & polite servers!

Redwood Café was exactly my kind of place, traditional and super cozy, just how I like it. The atmosphere felt welcoming right away. I had the traditional Benedict, which was wonderful, the staff were all friendly and attentive. Great food, great vibes I really enjoyed the whole experience.

In a world where restaurants and coffee shops can be wildly inconsistent, this place just keeps showing up and doing what it does best. My go-to is always the Baja Mocha. At this point, it's less of a coffee order and more of a long-term relationship. It's rich, smooth, perfectly balanced, and just spicy enough to keep things interesting. Every time I tell myself I should try something different, the Baja Mocha gives me that "Don't be ridiculous" look, and I happily order it again. A visit also isn't complete without grabbing a pound of whole beans to take home. That way, I can continue pretending my kitchen is a quaint little coffee shop instead of just... my kitchen. The café itself has a ton of character. It's on the cozy side, which means it can fill up quickly, especially during busy times. If you're looking for acres of seating and total silence, this probably isn't your spot. But if you're looking for exceptional coffee, a welcoming atmosphere, and a place that feels like a true local favorite, you'll understand why people keep coming back. The staff is always entertaining in the best possible way. They're friendly, have personality, and somehow manage to keep things moving even when the place is buzzing. It's the kind of coffee shop where the people behind the counter seem like they're genuinely enjoying themselves, and that energy rubs off on everyone else. If you're passing through Cambria or lucky enough to live nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. Just don't blame me when the Baja Mocha becomes your default order too. I tried branching out once... the Baja Mocha and I worked through it.

The service was not very efficient with the crowd. The barista asked many questions (decaf or regular, oat milk, whole milk, 2%, almond milk, which coffee bean, etc.), which made the line move very slowly. She also had to stop taking orders halfway to make drinks, making the long line to get even longer. There wasn't enough seating, so we decided to take our food to go. They can't help warm up our pastries and directed us to use the microwave and toaster oven ourselves. For the price of the pastries I paid, I expected better service rather than DIY. When the coffee was ready, they did call names but the place was so crowded, we all had to wait outside of the cafe. So many of customers had to come in and out several times to check on their orders. The coffee was also extremely hot and not drinkable right away. Overall slow service, crowded environment, messy flow. I wouldn't come back.

When this happens, I know I found a great restaurant. We had a delightful lunch and desserts. The patio was just right for a sunny day in January. The owner said he had a special Prosecco and that he had "a guy" who gets it for him special. He let us keep the bottle since it was our anniversary weekend. When we got back home, I googled the label on the bottle and to my surprise, it turned out his "guy" was Trader Joe. That was good for a few laughs. The dining in meals were at the restaurant's special events with a fixed menu and price. We met friends there for those meals. Both meals were nothing to write home or a review about. Our friends felt the same way. I thought eventually, we would dine there when we are in town enjoying our second home. After today, I will reconsider. My wife and I were near the cafe and she wanted to go into a particular shop. There was no parking spot available so I dropped her off and parked next to the cafe. I stayed in the car to wait for her. I noticed a crude handmade sign on an orange cone that read "parking for Harmony Cafe". There was one car ahead of me but I waited with the engine running. After about 5 minutes, a door opens from the side of the restaurant and a woman comes out. I didn't think anything of it. A few seconds later she comes out again and goes behind my car and takes a photo of my license plate. I thought that was hilarious. First of all, it's a public parking space that apparently the Harmony Cafe has commandeered with a makeshift sign. I have never seen another business in town do such a thing. Cambria is such a peaceful and relaxed place, very laid back but just don't park in the Harmony parking spots if you aren't a diner. I wonder what she does with the photos of those license plates.

In fact is was so warm that my wife had to go outside to cool off a couple of times. Service was stellar. From the server, (Ramona) to the other staff. They took very good care of us. Kept our waters full and checked on us several times during our visit. Let's get down to it. The moment that counts. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. They were FANTASTIC. They were stuffed with a feta type cheese and were absolutely delish! My main dish wass the Filet Mignon. I ordered it medium. It came with veggies and mashed potatoes. When the steak showed up it looked good and I cut into the steak. It was done to perfection. It had some kind of JD whiskey sauce on it. I took a bite and it was awesome. SO much flavor. I was in heaven. It was like eating candy. I have always considered The Range in Santa Margarita the best but THIS, yeah this was going to be hard to beat! The Sows Ear was now top dog! The mashed potatoes were epic as well. Perfectly cooked and very creamy. The veggies, (broccoli, squash, and carrots), were great as well. Not a huge squash fan but they did not over do the squash and it was just full of flavor. This REALLY went well when it came to the food. The portions were spot on. Lastly we come to the dessert. We had the Mud Pie. Yep, it was a HUGE piece for less than $10.00. Great value and man.........., was it good. Enough for 2 people. It really creates that intimate setting when you can share with your significant other and it be more then enough. This place would have gotten 5 stars had the interior temp been comfortable. 4.5 stars! The bill for the two of us, no alcohol, was right at $140.00. with tip were out the door at approx. $170.00. Thanks to the staff for making this experience great! Ramona, Katie, and the guy walking around that made sure we were good! They made a great team! I would totally recommend the Sow's Ear in Cambria. This place is everything you would expect and you will not be disappointed. Don't miss out on this place! Worth every penny. That is all! The crowning jewel was that we had used Uber to get there, but could not get one to return to our hotel! In a bit of a panic, we asked the Manager ( Owner?) if she knew how we could get back.
