One of my favorite places to eat! Redfin Blues has a terrific riverside setting, right along the Herr Island section of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail. My food was so good that I forgot to snap photos before I started munching. I ordered the lobster roll and Cajun ahi tuna bites. The lobster was fresh and well seasoned, and the buttery roll was simply delicious; they didn't overcomplicate it. The ahi tuna bites were seared just right and packed a spicy punch that paired perfectly with the chipotle sauce. Prices are a little higher than you might expect for a casual spot, but nothing unreasonable for seafood. I'll definitely be back soon! read more

Great if you're boating! Out on the boat, got hungry-easy access to get here. Our food came out so incredibly fast. I don't think I've ever had food at a restaurant come out so quickly. I got the lobster roll and enjoyed it. My husband got the peel and eat shrimp and there were so many! Traditional American food, I definitely would not say this is a seafood restaurant. Seems to get pretty busy on the weekdays. An enormous spider came down from the ceiling in the middle of my meal and about gave me a heart attack, I was freaked out for the rest of my meal after that. Not their fault but also saw several cobwebs in the bathroom. Eek. read more

Food was great, service was courteous, the view of the river was a lovelier side of Pittsburgh than I'm used to . The only downside was that the restaurant's music was clashing with someone down in the marina blasting their yacht rock at the same time, so the competing music was a little over-stimulating, but I'm not sure the restaurant can do much about that. read more

Used to be so much better! They've raised their prices but it's pretty much a monopoly of the only good all you can eat crab legs near Pittsburgh. They are seasonal as seating is outside. No reservations but you can call ahead to be added to the wait list. The all you can eat comes with fries and slaw as well. read more

This is seasonal riverside eatery on Pittsburgh's Herr's Island looks out over the Allegheny towards the upper part of the Strip District. Most of the seating is outdoors but under cover so you are usually safe from the sun or the rain. We typically visit several times per season. The menu is simple and solid fish/river fare; think gastropub. The cooking is fresh and the atmosphere is fun. Front of house staff is always gracious. Redfin Blues can get really busy in the evenings. If you don't want to wait, go for lunch or mid-afternoon. read more

Dining at Redfin Blues makes you forget you're still in Pittsburgh! The outside, riverfront seating is amazing and the perfect "getaway" close to home. The lobster roll is my favorite, but you can't go wrong with the AYCE crab legs, either! We also love their extensive drink menu with everything from beer to margarita pitchers and even frozen drinks. We had a large group on a weeknight and were seated immediately. The server was also so sweet and checked in on us often. This is the perfect spot for a date night, girls night, or anything in between! read more

I like this place. Yes it takes an hour to get seated. It's great ambiance being in the water and outside. The service is good even though they are super busy. We had the fish sandwich and fish and chips. Both were really good. I like the seasons fries. Portions for price was really good. read more

Redfin Blues is a great restaurant hidden underneath the 31st bridge in Pittsburgh, PA. The service was great and was served with a smile by our attentive server. We started with Crab Rangoon and peel & eat shrimp. Both were fabulous, just wish there was more of them. Added a pitcher of Redfin Painkiller mixed drink- wow yummy! I ordered the Lobster Roll, delicious. We had the Salmon BLT sandwich- was tender and moist flavored to perfection. We also enjoyed the Mahi Mahi tacos-- again. Made very well. And lastly we had the Tropical Salmon. Moist cooked so well and the seasoning on the potato's was perfect. If I had to critique anything, it would be the call ahead seating... was very inaccurate. They did seat us immediately, but didn't se to have my name down. So it worked out!! And along the River--- just scenery! And we added a Dirty Banana Daiquiri(virgin) read more

drinks are amazing but the service is insanely rude. would not recommend going there unless you're a local who has a boat docked there.

There's no reason I should have waited an hour to be seated here. When my date and I arrived the boy said it was a 25min wait and that he would put us on the list. We never got an initial "you're on the waitlist text" and came Back 30mins later and still we're not on the list and ANOTHER boy said he would put us on and "bump us up" 15mins later I'm getting hot and just sat down at an open table because there were plenty of open tables -it didn't make sense for us to be waiting this long? Racist much? Idc if they DO have black people working here or eating here already. My feelings are HURT. WHY were we not put ON THE LIST!? Like DONT PMO.... Anyways patience is a virtue. I asked my man to check again and he got us seated finally at the best table view of the river in the place ... (but I'm still mad about the wait!) Update an hour later ok so I ended up with a waitress named KRISTEN who was an absolute GEM! Very welcoming, apologetically thanked us for our patience, she really saved the night and my feelings about this place BETTER because she was SO hospitable, friendly and attentive! I ended up getting the birria tacos which were absolutely delicious (and I'm from San Diego by way of Texas and a birria tacos connisuer so I KNOW a GOOD TACO!) My man got the muscled & shrimp cocktail! We accidentally got someone else's order too and got to keep it no pressure. {apparently this place was overwhelmingly packed this Saturday 6/7/2026 because of a cancelled Morgan Wallen concert that so many people came in town for} overall after a glass of wine and finally settling into a better vibe thanks to Kristen I give this place 4 stars from my original 0! Happy waterfront dinning! read more

Servers were pretty nice and food was okay. The restaurant had pretty limited vegetarian options (I won't blame a seafood restaurant for that) and everything on the menu was really heavy. You go under a bridge and past a warehouse to get there. It seems like a great place for you to go with your grandparents. Lots of dark wood. Grandpa would be super into it. read more

What a wonderful experience!!! Perfect weather today on the water with boats and a breeze!! Isabella was out server and she went out of her way to make our visit perfect! The menu is fantastic!! Such a variety of foods. Seafood, burgers, salads, spaghetti so much to choose from!! I cannot say enough about the ambience! As we were leaving the table next to us ordered a pound of beautiful peel and eat shrimp!! I cannot wait to go back. The price was reasonable too!! $48 with one beer. She beats a place a month ago that was burgers and no. Were for $39. We will select Redfin blues every time! Check out the pics! Oh yes it is really easy to get to. Check out the maps as gps was wacky and a 9 minute ride from casino was 40 minutes!! read more

It's so relaxing and fun to eat outside on the deck at Redfin Blue. They have lots of seating outside by the water and outside under tiki-style umbrellas. They also have inside seating. We go for the water side seating. We enjoy watching the boats on the river and the boats being removed from dry dock in the building next door and guided into the water. It's so cool! The food is very good. It's fun casual food like tacos, burger, sandwiches, fish and chips, shrimp, crab cakes, and fish. Plus they have a great bar menu. Their mojito was pretty good! Servers are upbeat and friendly. Parking is free and in a lot next to the restaurant. read more

Had a fantastic meal Friday night at Redfin Blues. First time here and we loved it. Went to dinner with a group of ladies from High School...we all thoroughly enjoyed our food, everything was excellent. Our server Bobby was wonderful very attentive, friendly and patient with us. I had the blackened Mahi Mahi dinner it was fantastic, the potatoes were delicious and the green beans were cooked perfectly! Others in our party had Chicken Bruschetta, Pgh Salad, Mahi Tacos and Crab cakes. Great atmosphere as this is on the river and makes you feel like you're on vacation. Definitely would go back. read more

Came here with a group and while we did wait longer than said time, the servers were so attentive and friendly! Ambiance was just right as we head into summer. Food surpassed my expectations. Their gyozas are DELICIOUS. Fried and burnt perfectly. My ahi tuna salad had about 8 oz of fish. Their fries are awesome with ketchup too. read more

Redfin Blues is a convenient stop after a day out on the water. It's the only restaurant on the North Side along the river. Ooops, I mean the North Shore lol. Anyway, service here is iffy just as the food is. Sometimes really great and sometimes not so much. It's just all part of that boating experience that makes it fun with friends. The best bet on a warm day is one of the salads. They seem to stay consistent. The chicken caprese salad is the one I've had on multiple occasions. The drinks are pretty decent and that's more what it's about here. The blood orange martini is a good one to go with. Overall, after a day of fun in the sun it's a place to wind down after heading home. read more

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner! We used the get in line feature and it worked perfectly! We had a great seat and view of the river. Our waitress gave us some great suggestions...she was very friendly! We had the mussels appetizer, and it is something to dream about...the sauce, cheese, mussels, and bread were perfection! I had the lobster roll, and it was sooo tasty! I never had a cold roll before but I really liked it. My husband got the fish and chips, and that might have even been better. The tartar sauce was homemade, and we could have ate it with a spoon! read more

Went here for my grandma's birthday and checked in. We were told 30 mins. We start to notice lots of empty tables. We ask what's happening and apparently the kitchen is backed up and now they aren't seating people. Then we're told it will be another hour. Had to leave as there is no seating to wait and my grandma was feeling sick. Horrible experience and won't be back. read more

Ambiance is fabulous. The food is truly mediocre. In anything it's getting worse. An overcooked burger on stale bread. What a wasted opportunity. Absolute complacency about the quality of the food. Loved sitting out on the deck with the beautiful weather. Just wish the food was worth the price.

Great location on the river with amazing views. Seating is mostly outside or at the bar. Service was excellent, my waiter refilled my drink anytime it started to get low without any prompting. I had the ahi poke salad, which was amazing. Lots of fish, the pickled veggies were crisp and had good flavor, and the sesame crisps provided a nice crunch. My husband had the crab cakes, and those were also very good. read more

I was so excited to try this place because it was one of the only places on the water to eat in Pittsburgh but was severely disappointed going on a random Wednesday with the service and generic food. It took us a little over an hour to get a pizza and a steak salad and with a kid on a school night, it wasn't ideal. The pizza was spicy or had a kick to it (they do have a kids menu with chicken tenders and such though) but was surprised with the heat in the regular cheese pizza. My steak salad was covered in old bay seasoning to the point I was as coughing from the dust from it, if you like old bay then this is the spot for you! The views are incredible but I suggest it as a place for just drinks by the water. read more

Think I came on a good day for lunch , good parking good views and very calm and quiet lunch atmosphere, hidden and romantic. I had a good time with my family the staff is very friendly and accommodating, they took time to help me out with my order explaining the menu. Don't be shy to ask how the food is prepared. My daughter loves the food and I felt there was a little of everything for anyone's taste. Outdoor seating ; indoor seating , nice bathrooms , historical photos and artifacts. And great bar and wine and dating place. You can walk and exercise after eating. Nice ! read more

Redfin Blues remains an enjoyable place for a Sunday lunch on the river. This time our party of 3 walked to the end of the island and back as we waited for our table to be ready (25-30 minutes). The waitress was busy but made sure we had what we needed. The "jerk chicken" tacos were not spicy (or really flavored at all), but the regular ribs and the lobster roll were well received. I think the watermelon lemonade was alcoholic, although I was not expecting that. Sex-segregated restrooms amd free parking in the lots under the 31st Street Bridge. read more

Great outdoor area. It was crowded and service was good. Started with nachos that were OK. The queso should have been warmer and the mango salsa was nice. First off - scenery is amazing. This restaurant is on Washington's Landing / Herrs Island (right south of Troy Hill) and features a beautiful view of the Allegheny River when eating outside. The food itself was ok - I'd gotten tacos which had good seasoning and were cooked just fine, and the potatoes were crisp and seasoned. The service was friendly (we were the first ones there, and it fills up fast so getting in early isn't a bad idea). The cocktail and beer list was impressive, but alas, was a work lunch so couldn't. Food was tasty. We especially liked the calamari appetizer with the spicy chili sauce. The service was good. The seating area facing the river was very nice and relaxing. Great for watching boats go by. Our cocktail drinks were a bit too sweet for us. And the beer (they serve cans only - no drafts) were warm. Big downer. We were visiting from out of state and went to Redfin Blues. We came at a very busy time with a small group, but they got us in as quickly as possible. We stayed at the bar and had good drinks. The diverse food options were very good and service was prompt. Staff were very friendly and attentive. My disappointment came the next day when we saw there was a second charge for almost TWO HUNDRED dollars?!?! We called after the weekend and spoke to a manager. He credited us but never offered an apology nor was he very friendly about their mistake even when we spent hundreds. It was a wonderful place but certainly made us struggle to return the money they screwed up on. read more
