Ordered a ride 20 minutes before I had to leave. The driver showed up right on time and took me to my destination using the shortest route. He was friendly and did a great job. The only reason this is not a 5 star is because when I went to pay he informed me that the minimum charge for a credit card was $15. Since my tab was just slightly over what the website predicted, I only owed $13. Having no cash, I had to pay the 15. That's the first time I've ever seen a $15 minimum charge to use a cc for anything. I will use the service again if I need it, just make sure I have cash on hand. read more

This taxi company has 3 drivers and they are All WONDERFUL.. I'm a 75 year old retired man and these guys Always give me Custom Service. They are very prompt and very knowledgeable about Redding and they work with me on multi-stop trips. They All really care about you as a Human Being, and not just as a "fare". I can say that some of my rides with these guys was actually better than a trip to a SHRINK !!! That is how much they are "tuned in" to their clientele. read more

Since Lyft and Uber aren't highly available in the Redding area, Redding Yellow Cab is a reasonable alternative. The prices were reasonable. They don't have a lot of cars so call early and you may have to take the ride when you can get it because you may not get another chance. read more

The driver took $40.00 for the ride to my home, then didn't want to wait while I dropped my key and a note in the dropbox at the mechanic, as the broken car was the reason my wife and I needed a cab in the first place. When I asked him to just leave, he stole $10.00 from me by returning $30.00 of the forty I gave him for the ride. Said for his time and trouble. He is a thief. I barely had enough money left for the ABC cab that took us home. Driver's name was Lee. The third party dispatcher, Rebecca, said he'd always been polite and nice in the past. That she knew about anyway. Fat chance. I hope the driver rots in an appropriate place. Yeah, you say, over reaction to a thief taking $10.00 in front of you. OK. Just send me $10.00. Finally, I hope someone treats his mother, daughter, sister or other loved one the way he treated us. I'm going to report driver and company to the CA regulators. Hope their license is then in jeopardy. And county. It's a petty theft that nobody would prosecute. Perhaps embezzlement. read more

Not 24hr Taxis as advertised. I called at 4:30 and was told they don't start till 5:00. The earliest pickup was 5:15. I accepted and no one showed up and when I called at 5:40 they said 20 more minutes . Causing me to miss my flight at RDD no wonder the ride sharing is so popular. If you have an early flight in Redding make sure to plan a solution a day or so in advance. The town doesn't wake up till after 5:00. read more

The Redding Yellow Cab service is a life saver! They came all the way to Red Bluff after midnight to pick me and my friends up. The driver was super friendly and patient with me as I struggled to hear him on the phone in the loud bar atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend them! read more

Called yellow cab since Uber had no cars available. Took us to our restaurant. When just about done with dinner, we called for a ride back. Was told 30-40 minute wait. 95° heat. 1 1/2 hours later still no cab. Was told someone was ahead of us in line and it would be another 45-90 minutes! Luckily a kind patron offered us a ride home. I was hesitant to try Yellow Cab because of it's reviews, but needed a lift and decided it's as good as any. I called over an hour ahead and asked to be picked up at 10. He explained that there is always at least a ten dollar fee regardless what the meter says, which is fine with me. My driver was there on time, which is exactly what I needed. I like to chat with my drivers. Small talk was a little heavier than usual, but I did learn something I didn't know before, about geoengineering the weather. I'm sure someday I'll be grateful he let me know. Anyways, the important part is that he was on time picking me up. read more

12-07-2019 7:09AM: I would not recommend this cab company to my worst enemy. I called Redding Yellow Cab and explained they double charged me. The guy who answered the phone said he was a driver/dispatcher and has no records of drivers, dates, logs transactions basically he had nothing to offer. I tell the employee I'm out of town or I could come down to their office to show him how I was doubled bill. This guy threatens me by saying; Fu..me tells me to come down to yellow cab so he could kick my ass, then he hangs up. I call back ask for the owner's name, he again says F..me , and go F-myself then continues to tell me to google the owner of yellow cab and hangs up on me. This place is a joke. 12-07-2019 8:21PM: I call again and spoke to a lady, her outlook and/or demeanor was shallow and rude. I tried again to explain I was double billed, and she basically had no time for my issue and hung-up. DO NOT USE THIS CAB COMPANY! They ripped us off! Got a cab from Twin View Rd. To Shasta Lake (about 6 miles) cost me $17.50 and as I was paying the bill, I was informed that I owed a "$6 surcharge" for going out of Redding. After we got dropped off, we called the dispatch and asked the lady if there was such a thing and she told us that it was up to the drivers discretion and next time take an Uber. I had a pleasant ride with Greg who arrived 10 minutes early and drove me to the RABA Transit Center (RDR). When I called to schedule the taxi, I let them know when my Amtrak Thruway bus departs (my "must have" time to arrive at my destination) and the time that I would like the taxi to arrive at my house. People have difficulty finding my address, even with navigation, and Greg gave me a call when he needed clarification on directions. Good job! read more

They're rude and they lie about the time when the cab is supposed to pick you called an hour before I was supposed to be at work they told it would be twenty minutes, when I called dispatch back she was very rude she argued with me about what she actually said to me about the time the taxi was supposed to pick me up. The taxi never showed up, I don't recommend that anyone uses yellow cab they're horrible and rude. read more

I have, due to limited choices, used Redding Yellow Cab numerous times on my visits to Redding. It is the WORST taxi service for a city of this size I have ever encountered. The dispatchers are uniformly discourteous or rude. It is next to impossible to make early arrangements for a pick-up, and if you're successful, the Cab will be 1/2 Hour late. If you call for a Cab before 10:00 AM, be prepared to wait an hour for it to arrive. The Cabs I have seen are many years old, dirty, noisy, rattletraps. Not to be totally negative, the drivers I have met are always friendly and helpful. read more
