Worst cab service in California. The driver was cut speeding on a dead end street when the sign said, slow down

We reserved a ride for 4am and the driver was on time (awake) and ready for our drive. Clean van and no funny smells . The driver was careful and followed directions. This was a short ride but we felt safe. read more

This taxi company has 3 drivers and they are All WONDERFUL.. I'm a 75 year old retired man and these guys Always give me Custom Service. They are very prompt and very knowledgeable about Redding and they work with me on multi-stop trips. They All really care about you as a Human Being, and not just as a "fare". I can say that some of my rides with these guys was actually better than a trip to a SHRINK !!! That is how much they are "tuned in" to their clientele. read more

We experienced a serious car problem while traveling and needed transportation back to our motorhome. The dispatcher was so understanding and the arrival time was exactly what she estimated. Our drive Rick was very pleasant and the car was clean. read more

Since Lyft and Uber aren't highly available in the Redding area, Redding Yellow Cab is a reasonable alternative. The prices were reasonable. They don't have a lot of cars so call early and you may have to take the ride when you can get it because you may not get another chance. read more

I needed a ride to an urgent medical appointment so I called ahead a few days to make a reservation. "He doesn't take reservations. He does first come, first served." Ok, so like Uber but with one dude and no app? Yeah, good luck with that. I don't know what I expected in Random Redding. read more

The drivers were very friendly. I was able to get a taxi within an hour. would definitely call ABC cab again.

The driver took $40.00 for the ride to my home, then didn't want to wait while I dropped my key and a note in the dropbox at the mechanic, as the broken car was the reason my wife and I needed a cab in the first place. When I asked him to just leave, he stole $10.00 from me by returning $30.00 of the forty I gave him for the ride. Said for his time and trouble. He is a thief. I barely had enough money left for the ABC cab that took us home. Driver's name was Lee. The third party dispatcher, Rebecca, said he'd always been polite and nice in the past. That she knew about anyway. Fat chance. I hope the driver rots in an appropriate place. Yeah, you say, over reaction to a thief taking $10.00 in front of you. OK. Just send me $10.00. Finally, I hope someone treats his mother, daughter, sister or other loved one the way he treated us. I'm going to report driver and company to the CA regulators. Hope their license is then in jeopardy. And county. It's a petty theft that nobody would prosecute. Perhaps embezzlement. read more

Not 24hr Taxis as advertised. I called at 4:30 and was told they don't start till 5:00. The earliest pickup was 5:15. I accepted and no one showed up and when I called at 5:40 they said 20 more minutes . Causing me to miss my flight at RDD no wonder the ride sharing is so popular. If you have an early flight in Redding make sure to plan a solution a day or so in advance. The town doesn't wake up till after 5:00. read more

The Redding Yellow Cab service is a life saver! They came all the way to Red Bluff after midnight to pick me and my friends up. The driver was super friendly and patient with me as I struggled to hear him on the phone in the loud bar atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend them! read more

Called yellow cab since Uber had no cars available. Took us to our restaurant. When just about done with dinner, we called for a ride back. Was told 30-40 minute wait. 95° heat. 1 1/2 hours later still no cab. Was told someone was ahead of us in line and it would be another 45-90 minutes! Luckily a kind patron offered us a ride home. This is BS. It was also the only game in town. Thanks for stranding travelers Yellow Cab! read more

These guys are great. Very friendly and accommodating. I will use them again next time I'm in Redding. read more

I was hesitant to try Yellow Cab because of it's reviews, but needed a lift and decided it's as good as any. I called over an hour ahead and asked to be picked up at 10. He explained that there is always at least a ten dollar fee regardless what the meter says, which is fine with me. My driver was there on time, which is exactly what I needed. I like to chat with my drivers. Small talk was a little heavier than usual, but I did learn something I didn't know before, about geoengineering the weather. I'm sure someday I'll be grateful he let me know. Anyways, the important part is that he was on time picking me up. read more

Ordered a ride 20 minutes before I had to leave. The driver showed up right on time and took me to my destination using the shortest route. He was friendly and did a great job. The only reason this is not a 5 star is because when I went to pay he informed me that the minimum charge for a credit card was $15. Since my tab was just slightly over what the website predicted, I only owed $13. Having no cash, I had to pay the 15. That's the first time I've ever seen a $15 minimum charge to use a cc for anything. I will use the service again if I need it, just make sure I have cash on hand. read more

12-07-2019 7:09AM: I would not recommend this cab company to my worst enemy. I called Redding Yellow Cab and explained they double charged me. The guy who answered the phone said he was a driver/dispatcher and has no records of drivers, dates, logs transactions basically he had nothing to offer. I tell the employee I'm out of town or I could come down to their office to show him how I was doubled bill. This guy threatens me by saying; Fu..me tells me to come down to yellow cab so he could kick my ass, then he hangs up. I call back ask for the owner's name, he again says F..me , and go F-myself then continues to tell me to google the owner of yellow cab and hangs up on me. This place is a joke. 12-07-2019 8:21PM: I call again and spoke to a lady, her outlook and/or demeanor was shallow and rude. I tried again to explain I was double billed, and she basically had no time for my issue and hung-up. I called back and asked what her name was as well as the owner and fortunately I was able to some information. Her name was Rebecca and the owner; Gary. I will inform my bank that Redding Yellow Cab is double billing and committing fraud. This place is a joke -5 read more

On time pick up, driver was very polite and drove appropriately, took the fastest way to my location, no lolly gagging. Taxi secretary was helpful and professional as well. Cab was clean and Covid protocols in place. Made everything easier than any other taxi I've taken & cleaner too read more

Called for a cab on a Monday morning, waited 2 hours. Finnelly found another ride. Just be ready to wait.

Through my company we call Redding Cab several times a month to take clients from the airport to Mercy Redding and back. They are always on time and friendly, never a complaint. I'd recommend them to anyone needing a cab in Redding. read more

Great service all the way through; from scheduling my pickup to being dropped off at my destination. I called in advance and scheduled a pick up for 1:30AM, the operator was nice and made it easy. The driver arrived at 1:20, understanding that he was a bit early (way better than being late) he didn't rush is. He was professional and pleasant to speak with. This will be my go to company for my taxi needs. read more

Called today for a cab. The dispatch lady was super nice!! I asked for a time call for 4:30. The cab was 15 mins early. Which is awesome I rather be super early to work then late. I will definitely only call this cab company for now on!! read more

Not friendly, didn't show up on time, told me 10-15 mins and called and hr later after I already had called ABC to come get me and they were right around the corner!!! read more

Called for a Cab in the rainy weather a Guy named Arron showed in life less than 5 min. Great service and prompt too.

DO NOT USE THIS CAB COMPANY! They ripped us off! Got a cab from Twin View Rd. To Shasta Lake (about 6 miles) cost me $17.50 and as I was paying the bill, I was informed that I owed a "$6 surcharge" for going out of Redding. After we got dropped off, we called the dispatch and asked the lady if there was such a thing and she told us that it was up to the drivers discretion and next time take an Uber. Well, we checked with Lyft/Uber- no surcharge and half the price!!!!! Don't get ripped off by this company! read more

I had a pleasant ride with Greg who arrived 10 minutes early and drove me to the RABA Transit Center (RDR). When I called to schedule the taxi, I let them know when my Amtrak Thruway bus departs (my "must have" time to arrive at my destination) and the time that I would like the taxi to arrive at my house. People have difficulty finding my address, even with navigation, and Greg gave me a call when he needed clarification on directions. Good job! read more

They're rude and they lie about the time when the cab is supposed to pick you called an hour before I was supposed to be at work they told it would be twenty minutes, when I called dispatch back she was very rude she argued with me about what she actually said to me about the time the taxi was supposed to pick me up. The taxi never showed up, I don't recommend that anyone uses yellow cab they're horrible and rude. read more

I have, due to limited choices, used Redding Yellow Cab numerous times on my visits to Redding. It is the WORST taxi service for a city of this size I have ever encountered. The dispatchers are uniformly discourteous or rude. It is next to impossible to make early arrangements for a pick-up, and if you're successful, the Cab will be 1/2 Hour late. If you call for a Cab before 10:00 AM, be prepared to wait an hour for it to arrive. The Cabs I have seen are many years old, dirty, noisy, rattletraps. Not to be totally negative, the drivers I have met are always friendly and helpful. read more

Being less than 5 miles away from the airport, I would have expected my cab to take less than 40 minutes to show up. I was wrong. Since it's the only cab company in town, it gives the right to provide horrible service. read more

Having never been to the city before, I was a little nervous about how easy it would be to get a taxi. But it was super-easy to get in touch with the friendly dispatch operator and arrange a pick-up at the airport. The driver was there within 10minutes and helped me to the door of the place I was staying. The driver was friendly and polite. Would recommend this company to friends. read more

Called an hour in advance for pickup. Said they allow up to 15 min for their driver to arrive after requested pick up time (really? Ok). I waited until driver was 15 min late to call, they said they messed up the request and could send someone but it would be another 15 min. Waste of time. Call a different company. read more
