Because of COVID19, I called Red Coach on March 25th to refund 2 tickets. When I first called them, they told me I would only get 70% of my money back for those tickets. I was fine with that and they said I would see the money back on my credit card...Waited a month later, still no money on my account and I called again. They said it's because their refunds are backed up and there's only 1 person making the refunds working from 9am-5pm on Mondays to Fridays. I was sympathetic with them and they said they'll get it fixed in 2 weeks....2 weeks later still no money in my account...I kept calling and a month ago every time I called in the beginning of the week they said I would see the money in my account by the end of the week because it needs time to process...2 and a half months later. Today is June 9th and I still don't have my money back. You know what I think about this company. They don't have enough funds to return their money back to their customers so they keep dragging us along when we call them weekly about our refunds and giving us hope that one day we'll get our money back (it's not because the person working refunds can't keep up with them). We will never get our money back even if the company goes bankrupt because if we're going to be honest, who's taking a bus across Florida during this pandemic? read more

I bought a first class ticket in Austin and they showed up in a broken economy bus with no wifi or working bathrooms (it smells). The whole bus shook vigorously the whole trip. They said they needed to get the broken bus to Dallas to fix, so they were using a bus they wouldn't normally use.. which is bs. read more

I regret not checking yelp before, my sister was trying to use this service to come home to Miami from UF, I tried to purchase her tickets online and 3 times I was denied. HOWEVER I was charged 3 times and never received a ticket confirmation. Upon calling the agent on the hotline I was told they could do nothing about my refund and there was no one available to help, then I tried the chat service online and was greeted with the same resistance, they said it was an issue on my part however they charged my card? that makes no sense it's clearly their booking system. Apart from the bus experience itself, I prioritize helpfulness and customer service this company has shown me or my sister neither. I would opt for another option that this bus service. read more

I purchased a ticket from MIA to Tampa, we just left late at 12:45pm today Nov 14 2019, the bus does not look like the one portrayed in the photos, it is a white bus with stinky and dirty carpet like seat covers, there are no outlets and no Wifi connection, not to mention we are with an Unsafe driver who forgot to bring his eyeglasses, he came too late to the stop, stood up while driving to look for his glasses and he is currently driving way too fast over the speed limit to catch up with being late, I may call 911 if he continues. I purchased something that is not as described im going to demand my money back, thanks to the protection provided by my credit card company. My 88 year old mom took a $45 taxi to catch the bus in Austin, Tx only to be told that the bus had been canceled by the hotel at the bus stop location. She received NO email or phone call to inform her of the cancellation (supposedly due to a sick bus driver)! TERRIBLE customer service. And of course, no reimbursement of the taxi fare. Absolutely AWFUL. Just about the worst experience I have ever had with any company ever. I purchased a ticket for RedCoach -- a whopping $100 for a RIDE -- thinking it would be a simple process: I show up at the pickup site, I get on the bus, then I arrive. Easy! Well I can tell you that I was supposed to get onto the RedCoach at 8:00pm -- they even have the GALL to ask us riders to be at least 20 minutes early to compensate for boarding time. It took nearly TWO HOURS after the supposed hard boarding time until the bus actually arrived! This is nothing else but ridiculous. I can't believe this horrible kind of service for a TRANSPORT COMPANY, which relies almost entirely on its reputation for timeliness, is somehow acceptable in the minds of the people who "run" this company. I will not be using RedCoach again. I will just ride in my own car, or take an Uber. The headache and annoyance is not worth the cost of gas. I will NOT make this mistake again, and I really hope no one else does either Just awful. Do not consider this company an option if you're trying to actually GET somewhere. read more

I wish I could give 0 star, because that is all this company deserves in 2022. My family and I have often booked through Red Coach when flying in or out of South Florida over the past 6/7 years. Their coaches and service used to be very good, especially when booking first or business class, but today my experience reminded me of trips in third world countries. I had booked a first class seat on a direct bus. The bus #3808 was not a first/business coach and was in desperate need of a deep cleaning and TLC. This, I could have lived with, but the fact the A/C was not in working order for a 3-hour ride with temperatures hovering over 100° degreed Fahrenheit in Florida today, was a major issue. The driver was aware of it and pretty embarrassed. He mentioned that he had signaled it for over three days and nothing had been done. Also, the emergency window in row 2A/B was cracked open and impossible to close, meaning that even more hot and humid air was entering the bus. It was impossible for me to work in such an environment and I messaged Red Coach, receiving an automated reply suggesting that it might take a while to have someone read it. I called customer service and explained the situation. I received a claim number and was told that it would be processed within 10 days. Never heard once any type of apology. Once in Orlando, I wanted to talk to the manager on duty. No one was in the office at 5 p.m. In short, if you read this and look for a decent way to commute from Orlando to South Florida or vice versa, forget about this has-been company and go check out their competition. I rode the MIA to Gainesville bus- Bus arrived on time and the driver got me on the bus promptly and smoothly. Came to someone in my assigned seat (So figured it was like a free for all situation and snagged a better seat). This was the "first class" bus, which from my understanding is no different from the other "business class" seating/bus. The seating was rooming, with extended recline perfect for catching some Zs. The seats/trays had a grime to them as if they were in need of being replaced. tv's didn't run and I quickly chose my hotspot over the basic wifi. The reason for the low rating comes from the uncomfortable, sticky, humid heat the bus emitted. I've traveled on a handful of different popular bus companies and they typically have the AC turned to the max so it's nice and cold. For some reason this specific redcoach bus had a terrible AC system that was on its last leg, leaving me and all the other riders sweaty and miserable for the entire 6hr trip. read more

This bus line is terrible. The service is horrible. I am a college student and have probably ridden it 10 times. Around 8/10 times including today it's been delayed. I feel like I have never arrived at the time I was supposed to. Today I got an email saying it's going to be 45 minutes delayed and most likely more than that. It's absolutely ridiculous. Also, good luck trying to communicate with anyone...their staff is never available to talk and give you updates as to when your bus will ACTUALLY be arriving. If I didn't have to take this I wouldn't be. So if you're lucky and have another option...save your money. I'm disappointed and frustrated with the entire Red Coach staff...I understand here and there but almost every time there's a delay (one time of more than 2 hours) and I've never received a refund. I recently booked a ticket to travel from Gainesville, Florida to Tallahassee, Florida to be dropped off at the FSU stadium. Despite paying for a ticket to be dropped off ON campus, the rude bus driver forced me to get off the bus in a dark alley behind a hotel in a part of Tallahassee that was not on campus, claiming he could not drive me to my final destination until after midnight (it was about (9:30pm at that point, my ticket claimed I would be at my final destination by 9:20). I felt unsafe and was forced to pay money for an Uber to go to campus, where my friend was waiting to walk with me to her apartment. Needless to say, this was unacceptable on Redcoach's behalf. I was left behind a hotel in downtown Tallahassee when I had purchased a ticket to be dropped of on campus, where I had people waiting for me. I then had to take an Uber alone, an extra cost and danger I was not planning on having to do. I filed a complaint and after weeks Redcoach told me my compensation was 30% off a future trip. I find it absolutely ridiculous that this is my compensation, as never again in my life will I want to take a trip on a Redcoach and risk being dropped off in a dark alley again. I also do not live in Florida, so this "compensation" is useless to me. The seats on the bus are nice, but if you actually want to make it to your final destination do not take a Redcoach. read more

I got a great deal using "Wanderu" price was great everything seemed perfect. I packed my stuff and just before going to bed for my early morning trip, I got an email that my trip is canceled. I called customer service trying to find what is going on. After being on hold for more than 20 min lady picked up and put me on hold again. She told me driver got sick and offered refund or to travel another day. Find a reliable carrier who doesn't cancel at last minute with lame excuses because they didn't sell enough tickets. read more

I called customer service and they said they are contracting out to other companies. They didn't bother to inform us before hand. My bus was supposed to arrive over an hour ago and I am currently in on a very expensive Uber headed to Miami Airport from Ft. Lauderdale Airport. The bus is still 30 minutes out and I would have been late for my international flight if I had waited. I arrived early and there was an earlier bus there and the driver said he couldn't let me on without having to pay again before en though there was plenty of room on the bus (which I was willing to do because I was afraid something like this would happen) but he didn't want to do it because he said "he was running behind and would have to process it". If anyone would like an honest review of the service, it is average. You get about what you pay for. Rated 4 stars for a cheap price and relatively reliable service. It'll get you there, though it's not as "luxury" as it describes. Better than a greyhound I suppose! Most people will likely give 1 star because they see "luxury" and expect exceptional first-class service, but it just means better than an average bus. More detailed review: First of all, there was a hurricane approaching during my departure date so I had to reschedule the trip (for free!) by calling their line a couple times. That was a bit frustrating because they only seem to have a couple people at the call center and it sometimes takes a while to get with a person and they automatically hang up after a certain amount of time without connecting to a person so you have to call back. They were helpful when you could get a chance to speak with them though. Due to the cancellation, I first tried to book a trip for the next day and I chose business class (they let me upgrade for free) which was later in the day. This trip got canceled for some reason, but the economy bus on that same day but early in the morning was not canceled so I switched to that, and that's the trip I got. A bit frustrating, but it got sorted out in the end. Tampa is the first stop on the route from Tampa to Miami on the economy bus, and the bus was there a bit early. It got delayed along the way and got to Miami about an hour late, however. The check-in process seems very lax, since the driver barely glanced at the ticket before letting people board. The luggage rack above the seats is very small and can only really fit a computer case or maybe a small duffel bag. My backpack could not fit on the rack, but it fit by my feet although it reduced my leg room. The economy bus is a little cramped and not the most comfortable, but for only about $20 I'd say it was worth it. It wasn't super uncomfortable but it definitely wasn't a comfy ride and the seats were not super clean but it didn't bother me too much. I'd say it was a pretty unremarkable ride but not terribly bad. The wifi didn't really work so I wouldn't rely on that if you have work to do. The charging outlets worked and so did the A/C, although my window was broken and slightly ajar so it was a bit warm (and leaked on me a little when it rained). My luggage got there okay (I suggest tying a ribbon with contact info around the handle so nobody accidentally takes it) and in one piece and so did I. On the trip back, the only option was a business class bus but since I booked early, it was not too expensive. Same deal with the driver being lax with checking tickets (this one only checked the seat number and tried to look at the wrong ticket at first!) and the luggage rack being small, though the leg room was much better so my backpack being there was not an issue. The bus arrived on time and got to Tampa on time (though it is not the last stop on that route). This bus was definitely a lot more comfortable, as there is more leg room and the seats recline further. I did not test the wifi on this bus, but I would assume that it might still be unreliable. The A/C and power outlets worked on this bus as well. Luggage got there okay. Again, pretty unremarkable ride but not unpleasant. Overall, I'd say the bus is worth the price. It's not the fanciest but it'll get you there (sometimes a bit late) for a cheap fare and luggage is free (two carry-on and two checked). I'd ride again. I received several communications from them and I feel better, but the headache I went through was not acceptable in my opinion. I may try them again but I'm hesitant at this time. Booked a "First Class" ticket from Miami to Ocala. The power outlets did not work no matter how many times the driver "reset" them. The little trays that are behind each seat so you can attach to your chair to work on your computer were dirty. I put mine back and tried the one on the chair across from me since no one was sitting there and THAT tray had a nasty yellow stain on it. The AC didn't seem to be working well because the bus felt hot to me (it wasn't full of people and I tend to get cold easily). The WiFi was also a little unstable. Overall, the only good thing about booking a "First Class" ticket is that there are fewer seats so fewer people (which could be good, someone kept farting in the bus!). Red coach does not take responsibility for the loss of my baggage and have the worst service ever. Somewhere along my trip from Tallahassee to Miami they lost my baggage. Once I realized, I placed a claim immediately. They say they will contact you in no more than 72 hours. Multiple days have passed and no employees are able to provide information nor help about how to proceed with losing luggage and how to reclaim it. I am still waiting for someone to answer my emails and help me solve this issue. Red Coach advertises that their buses has 8 cameras around their bus to protect their clients and their personal items. Yet, they still haven't been able to locate nor inform me who took my baggage and where. Their customer service is the worst and their agents are very unprofessional. I continuously ask for the direct line to their main office located in Orlando (which phone number does not appear online). However, they say they can't give me that number, but don't state why. No one is able stick out their neck and take responsibility for their carelessness. Somebody needs take responsibility for the loss of my baggage (where not only did it have all of my clothes but it also contained information about my work at FSU). I am a student who doesn't feel safe traveling with this company as they make me feel very anxious and even more with their unreliable employees. read more

I arrived at bus stop in MIA at 7:00 AM, the bus schedule departure was at 7:15. My daughter wanted to stay in the car a few extra minutes. At 7:10 she got out got her bags and started walking towards the bus. At no time in that 10 min did we see the driver or anyone board the bus. Not a soul. As she is walking 10 feet from the bus, the driver engages the bus and departs, it is 7:12, I looked at the time. She starts running, I'm freaking out, she pounds on the door as it's moving. The bus stops. I get out, she's gone. Thank God she was safe. Apparently the bus had to stop because a pedestrian was in a walkway, when my daughter asked why he left early? He asked her why she was sitting in her car! He watched her! Then as she got closed he pulled away! Insane! Be careful with the mental health of some of these guys. She was so upset, at no time did he ask her name or identify until they stopped at Fort Lauderdale. He then threatened her and said next time he will leave her. This is Red Coach, all this is absolutely true. When I called customer service I was told by Natalie we should of been there 20 min early. No apologies, nothing. We did not know, this was not our first time on Red Coach, the drivers in the past were ok, but one time there was no AC from Miami to Orlando, during COVID, masked and no open windows. Red Coach is dangerous and accident waiting to happen. They sent a driver to Disney World for pickup to take to Orlando Red Coach bus terminal the driver was not allowed to enter Disney premises due to the fact that he had no driver license with him. We were told from Disney you are leaving at your own risk and you can face burglary or even something worse by leaving with this driver. Needless to say the trip was a bust no clean facilities no direction no coordination whatsoever. Cuba has better bus system than this CRAP of Red Coach they should call it Red Rat Coach while I complained to them I was told that they did not care and to complaint to management however they did not care either. I paid 140 round trip from Orlando to Miami what a waste of time, money. I should have rented a car cheaper and cleaner. Be careful here drivers without driver license and I was told by the driver that he was an undocumented immigrant. The reason for no license if he was stopped by police he would say I forgot my license in hope that he would get just a ticket and on its way. I will be launching a Federal complaint and police report after this trip has ended. Be safe people hope that you see this before booking. read more

Our daughter was left stranded at the Ft Pierce / Port St Lucie Service Plaza where she was supposed to board the bus at 3:20pm Gainesville bound. At 3:25 (documented) she called just to follow up and they told her the bus was nearing Orlando. And that apparently had stopped and not seen any passengers. From FtPierce/ Port St Lucie Service Plaza to Orlando is easily two hours. So obviously this driver had no intentions of stopping for anyone. We had to drive for about an hour to her and then drive her to Gainesville ourselves. By the way her departure bus from Gainesville was late by 20 mins as well. Red Coach seems to have either a punctuality issue or a bunch of rogue drivers who disregard their schedules. They should be ashamed of their poor services. read more

This company has gone to crap. I've taken this bus on at least 15 occasions. The first few times my experience was okay, "acceptable" I would call it. Well, I recently purchased a round trip ticket from MIA airport to Tallahassee FSU. The first bus (heading to Tally) was a business class. I have taken a business class bus before so I know what to expect. Well at no point did I think that a white "travel lynx" bus was going to pick us up instead of the Red Coach Bus. The seats were extremely uncomfortable, not a pleasant experience at all! Then they stopped at Orlando for forty minutes instead of the usual 15 minutes to re-fuel. That made us even later than what they usually are arriving to Tally. Now, I am on a Red Coach bus as I type this review and honestly cannot believe the nerve of this driver. His name is "Johnny". I injured myself in Tally and have a limp now so I first asked him if 7a and 7b were still vacant so I wouldn't have to be uncomfortable the entire 10 hours. He said no ma'am you have to sit where they assigned you to sit. LoL, are you serious? He is the first driver who has EVER said something about that. What was more of a shock factor was when he told me to lower my voice when I was on the phone. Excuse me? I didn't pay $150 to not be able to talk on the phone! I cannot believe that this is considered to be one of the best buses. WHAT?! Definitely the crappiest bus experience I've ever had. Let's start with the fact that they picked us up almost AN HOUR LATE at FLL. That's an hour (plus the 15 mins they tell you to get there early) of waiting outside in the heat between the terminals where they pick you up. No notification or anything that they were running late. No consideration for the fact that we're waiting outside in August in South FL -- couldn't they have notified us that the bus would be late so we could at least wait inside the airport with AC? I called customer service and they simply said "it will be there in 5 minutes" - no apology or anything. When you book online, you have to pick your seat. I strategically picked a seat that I would like, and I thought assigned seating was a great and unique feature of this bus company. Well, to heck with assigned seating because it's just a free for all! I had no choice but to sit in the very last row or very first row, where I tend to get very carsick. I ended up sitting in the very first row, which obviously has no footrests or table. So much for "business" class. I had a TON of work to do on the bus and ended up being incredibly uncomfortable the entire time. I PAID for my specific seat, how can that not be acknowledged? Another huge disappointment. After waiting outside for over an hour, I was excited to get inside a nice bus with A/C. Well, something was up with the A/C because the bus was hot! And let me tell you that it smelled and felt so nasty. The bus was definitely very very OLD and I was completely grossed out. Stains on the floor and everything. The stops were very long and disorganized. It should be quick stops, quick pick ups, nice and organized but no - no system and no organization. A huge unnecessary waste of time at each stop. We ended up arriving in Orlando 1 hour and 20 minutes late. Scheduled time of arrival 8:20pm - actual arrival 9:40pm. What if someone had to catch a flight or something? Just horrible. Wifi was very spotty but good when it actually worked. Even so, I don't think RedCoach deserves anything more than 1 star. I feel so cheated on. Never again! read more

I hate to leave a poor review but I must. I took this bus with hopes of finding a better way of traveling to Gainesville weekly. I was attracted to the idea of not having to drive from Orlando to Gainesville after taking the plane from Ft. Lauderdale. I reviewed the website and noted the schedule and what I should expect when I rode. Boy was I wrong. This is a step up from the greyhound or megabus, but it is not customer service with a smile. The driver who picked me up was rude and arrogant. He told us that we would not be stopping because the bus was full and they needed to get us all to our destinations. I can understand that. The internet was free but it was not fast. I am thankful that it was available. The trip back home was the worst. The bathroom door was not working. It would not stay closed and it was hard to open. Other riders asked the driver to stop so we could use the restroom in Ocala. He told us he was late and could not stop. Once we reached downtown Orlando, I couldn't hold it any longer and asked when he stopped if I could go in and use the restroom quickly. He said he would leave me if I did and I should hold it until the next stop. I was told the bathroom was working and that I could use it if I wanted too. I had no other recourse than to use that broken bathroom. Then I got stuck in it. It took a man 3 minutes to beat the door down to get me out. The driver told the customer service person in the main office that we just wanted to stop to get something to eat. The website clearly states there will be layovers at each stop. My take on the whole matter: If you take the Red Coach, 1. use the bathroom before you get on 2. bring your food and drinks with you read more

Ready to die? Then RedCoach is the service for you. I had to suffer through one of their busses weaving its way down the middle lane of I-75. The truckers were so afraid of being hit, that they would drive onto the shoulder to keep reasonable distance. Utmost Safety? Clearly, no one was monitoring this driver as he sped up, slowed down, sped up, slowed down, sped up.... It doesn't matter how comfortable the seats are if you're always on the edge of creating a major accident. Avoid at all costs. read more

Even though I arrived exactly on time the driver left with me waving my arms. I am 79 and had returned from a long trip carrying luggage. I called customer service and was on hold till my battery ran out. The next day they simply said I should have called back. They refused request for a refund with an "I don't care attitude". My recommendation, do not use this service if you are a senior or have some mobility issue. Very bad experience. read more

I took the "Business Class" bus from Naples Florida to Fort Lauderdale, and I had seat 1C "reserved". The bus showed up at the McDonalds to pick us up 20 minutes late and there is no seat 1C, nor is the 6.5" leg room between the back of the seat in front of me and my seat cushion even remotely "Business Class". The seat selection is first come, first serve. People had their luggage on the seat next to them to keep people from sitting next to them. The picture on their website showing the seat is clearly a work of fiction. The bus was filthy. The bus was late. Yeah, this is a Business Class bus for a failing business. Oh, that mask mandate, view that as a suggestion of those liberals who don't know that masks don't help, so don't bother bringing a mask if you don't want to wear one. read more

I travel between Tampa and Miami quite often. In the past, I had either taken a plane or driven my car. Naturally, this became exhausting because taking a plane is really pricy for what I get - $170 round trip cheapest. Driving for 4+ hrs isn't exactly inviting either. I was also looking for a more environmentally friendly option and a way to be productive. Naturally buses and trains seemed to make sense. So I looked at alternatives and stumbled upon Redcoach. Redcoach stood out to me. A Florida-based company headquartered in Orlando that specialized in and served nearly all of Florida. Fantastic - I'm always happy to support a local Florida company rather than an outside company. $56 round trip ride from Miami to Tampa was also unbeatable - even on Amtrak. The bus arrived at the Miami Airport stop about 15 minutes late and we ended up departing 30 minutes later than scheduled. Despite this, many other customers waiting with me remarked that this may often happen with buses. The actual bus was very nice. Perhaps one of the nicest non-charter buses I had ever been on. The large leather seats were plenty comfortable and they reclined far back. The wifi was quick and responsive. The air temperature was good. Overall, the cabin was very nice. Definitely better than Greyhounds or Megabus. The one disappointing I did have to point out was the lack of any sort of table - sort of like they have on planes. I would've thought from a company that emphasizes "business" users, that some sort of fold out table to do work would have been included in the creation of the seats. The biggest disappointed from the trip was the bathroom. It was simply poorly supplied with no soap whatsoever, barely any toilet paper, and no water to wash your hands. This cannot be acceptable. We purchased a ticket for our son to travel from Richardson, Texas to Austin on the 8113 service that should have left at 4:15pm on 03/10. It never showed. He left the stop after waiting for 3 hours. I called your help line no less than 10 times. The first 2 times I got through and was lied to and told that buses were coming but they never did. I called again and again - got a customer service rep 3 times and just hung up on me when I said hello. After a while the customer service line never got me to anyone - it just said there was no one to answer the call. The website was equally unhelpful and no updates were posted after the first one - I don't think it ever showed up as I check it now at 9:50pm. Our ticket number is 230309504082 and we expect a full refund. I will also dispute this with our credit card. I also plan to leave a negative review as well on social media and other platforms. My son should be here for a family event planned tomorrow that is now ruined. Terrible company, terrible customer service. read more

Very reliable going from Tampa to Fort Lauderdale. Super unreliable and 100%. Late from Fort Lauderdale back to Tampa. For some reason the bus coming from Miami to Fort Lauderdale is always late ( out of 8 trips it has been late coming from Miami 8 times). Superior bus service! The 'coach' arrived close to the appointed time, the driver asks me my name and doesn't require me to produce the ticket on my phone, which is great, because I can't seem to get the IPHONE to do what it needs. I sat in a single seat which is just great;whatever the movie, I slept thru it and would love to have gotten off in Fort Lauderdale and explored, but since friends were meeting me in Palm Beach, at a stop which is sort of right on the thruway (Oasis). But we got there, only a wee bit late and I really can't complain-the price is right and the people were find companions.Also someone got on who had to buy a ticket right then, which is a good thing to know....Guess my ride was too short for the free snack box (see review by Carolyn...).Just kidding. It depends on the driver. Some drivers drive slow while some drivers speed all the way there. The Bus is sometimes late but you eventually get there. It's really easy to get on and off in Tampa. It's at the USF Molly bus stop. While In Miami at theAirport the address given is not where the bus lets you on and off.
