When both the food and service are exceptional, it's a clear sign that you need to visit this place. The Elote Nachos are truly the best I've ever tasted! We arrived just an hour after they opened, and although we had to wait about 20 minutes, it was well worth it. They say a wait often indicates quality, and this spot certainly lives up to that saying. It's absolutely fantastic! read more

My friend and I stopped in for lunch today and had such a wonderful experience. Our server, I believe her name was Ash, was just lovely. She was so patient with us and took the time to explain the shrimp ceviche and the different salsas. She even showed us the proper way to eat it, which we really appreciated. The food was delicious! It's rare these days to meet someone so genuine and helpful. We left very happy and will definitely be coming back. read more

The burgers are amazing. The service is fast and wait staff if on top of your every need. The atmosphere also has a nice vibe.

I checked out Redbird after hearing about it from other foodies! My son and I both got burgers and a order of waffle fries and street corn to share. My favorite dish was the streetcorn. The burgers were huge! A bit on the greasy side but lots of flavor. Our waiter Vincent was great! I want to come back and try more of the menu. For reference my son got the BBQ bacon cheese burger. I got the Sonoran burger read more

I totally recommend this scratch kitchen/bar!! The food is amazing and so is the service. Thank you so much to Karim for making our service so incredibly amazing! She was very attentive and had a beautiful energy to her. Thank you so much Redbird! Will definitely be coming again soon!!! read more

a jolly ambiance! Good seating options-hi top, regular chairs, booth bench. Mushroom/blue burger was just the best I've ever had! Waffle fries were good! Server was very efficient and friendly! read more

The much hyped pretzel was too salty, the wings were inedible, & the Sonoran burger was served in cold. The bill was presented w/o the happy hour discount. We stopped by here while passing through but the rave reviews here are definitely questionable. read more

Decent bar food. Smash burgers are their specialty and they are pretty good. The server was very friendly and attentive. The decor is modern and clean. We were there on a Friday for an early dinner and the place was LOUD. Normal conversation was difficult. The patio seating looked quite nice but the west exposure probably makes it too hot most afternoons. read more

This was good but not special. Nice addition to the Tucson food scene. Overall menu selection hits the standards, Burgers, Salads, Tacos and wings. Actually the wings were quite nice and loads of options. You'll probably be happy here. One last thing that bugs. The server was very good, but when they bring the ipad over to run your bill and the tip selection starts at 20%, not cool. read more

Redbird Scratch Kitchen + Bar - Sonoran Burger - Chicken Wings Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

This was the first time eating at this place, and the service was good. The waitress was kind and helpful, and they were quick to seat us. The food was a lot and I had the Sonoran burger, and it was yummy. However, I suggest that the restaurant include the fries with burgers rather than paying it separately as a side. Also, I enjoyed the strawberry lemontini mocktail as well. read more

The nachos out of the world. our server Matt was amazing. Top notch food and service

Madeline D was an amazing waiter. She was very welcoming and helpful with the menu. Will be bringing my entire family again!

Great experience. We were passing through on our way back to Cali and decide to stop here. The food was great. We had the Cobb salad, tacos, and wings and everything was delicious. I ended up eating the whole salad and ordering one to go. The staff were really sweet and attentive. We went in early August and I'm still raving about the food. read more

This place was absolutely fantastic. They had a wonderful patio that accommodated our full-size Poodle and the staff was really understanding of the dog. We had delicious hamburgers, macaroni, cheese, and waffle fries every dish was homemade, fresh and mouthwatering. We will definitely be back again. This place is on our short list. read more

We were able to get a same day reservation and we were seated within minutes. The atmosphere was lively, but we didn't have to wait very long for our drinks or food. Pros: 1.) The waitress was attentive the entire meal. 2.) They had a separate gluten-free menu for my son. The gf bun didn't fall apart and the queso dip was a delicious gluten free starter option. 3.) The tacos and burger entrées were all fantastic! 4.) Excellent house-made margarita Con: Please consider a separate gluten free flurry for chips and fries. read more

This is my 3rd time and its a wrap! The service is subpar, the servers are young and truly hospitality isn't their major in college! The wait time is long and the food is so so. I ordered the Cobb salad. It's extremely large, however it's full of iceberg lettuce & small amount of the toppings. Its so bland and it tastes like a hospital salad! A hamburger was ordered and the amount of grease that came off of that burger, yikes, this place should be called greasy spoon! Honestly this place is a bar and grill restaurant. Its junk food to the fullest We left their nutritional void yet stuff! I wish we could get more decent burger restaurants that are more health conscious and service oriented No more.. If you want bar food then Redbird will be your go to! If you want seasoned good tasting and quality food, DO NOT GO THERE! , read more

The food was amazing!! My fiancé and I came in for first date night since having our baby boy and our server Tammy made our night so special! She suggested the best and was very attentive. Loved the super waffle fries and the wings were perfectly crispy. Love the new addition to giving warm towels to clean our hands at the end! read more

Tammy is an awesome server! My nachos were fabulous and delivered with a smile. Ask for Tammy!!!

Legitimately the best place we ate at in Tucson. Service was super friendly and phenomenal despite them squeezing us in right before closing! Salads, burgers, tacos- we ate them all and loved it. Wish we had one more day in Tucson and we would've gone back read more

This place took over a long time diner here in town. They remodeled the old diner and made this place current and vibrant! It's super clean too! I've been to this place multiple times and almost every aspect of this place is awesome! The food is tastes fresh and is delicious! Between the time you order, and the meal being in front of you, is super quick. Not to mention the service is great! Every time I've had different servers and each time they were friendly, joked with the table, and very attentive to the needs of the table. While they get the food to you fast, no doubt to turn the tables, you never feel rushed. My wife has even spoke with owner, unbeknownst to her at the time, about a small issue with the restroom and it was resolved quickly. I say it's "almost" awesome in every aspect because of one issue. It's the only reason I am not giving it a five star and that's because the restaurant is pretty loud inside. The high ceilings and floors make for a very echoey room. It's not so loud that you can't talk to the person in front of you, but you need to speak a little louder than normal. I realize this is just my opinion, but places that are super loud make it a little less enjoyable for the overall experience. That said, I would highly recommend this place, and have already told friends and co-workers about it. This place is definitely worth the visit. Be sure to get reservations as it does get busy in the evenings! Service and food is a five star! Cheers! read more

I definitely recommend making a reservation to this restaurant because it gets busy fast! The staff were very accommodating with our reservation, my fiancé and I are in the middle of wedding planning and we have implemented wedding planning date night. We go out to restaurants with my laptop to plan our wedding. We made a reservation and requested a four top so we would have room to wedding plan while we also ate. The staff were very understanding and open to this idea. Our server was also really friendly. The restaurant lives up to its name of being a scratch kitchen. Everything is handmade down to the ranch and the ketchup, which were really good. We ordered a smorgasbord of options. We ordered the pretzel as an appetizer which was hot out of the oven. We had a blueberry cocktail which was delicious And two entrées. My fiancé really liked grilled the chicken sandwich. The dessert was a cinnamon bread pudding, which was super yummy, but be prepared to be outsugared, I almost wish it came with a side of milk. I would say that the strawberry lemonade that I got was too tart so I would avoid it. Another thing I really enjoyed about this restaurant. Is they give you hot moist towels to clean your hands at the end of your meal I thought that was really classy. read more

Staff were so friendly and helpful. Everything was made from scratch including their ketchup! The Elote wings were so savory best wings I've ever had and my smash burger was perfection. My martini was fruity and flavorful and loved the lollipop stir in it. And ending it with the bread pudding was frosting on the cake! From California and wish we had one of these in our state! Yelp reviews brought me here and I will defiantly come back on my next vacation! read more

This was the BEST FOOD EVER!!! their food was piping hot, the chicken was so juicy, the fries were perfectly salty, and the cheese was heavenly!!! My server was so kind, she told me I could get the buffalo sauce on side so I can taste if it was too hot (it wasn't it was perfect like the rest of the food). I got FRESH SQUEEZED lemonade! It wasn't too sweet and it had a nice sour taste! Got a refill without asking! And to top off the greatest meal, I got a HOT TOWEL!!! The food is flawless and makes up for any noise inside. For those who complain about the noise inside, I believe it is proof that this place has some of the best food in town and the best welcoming atmosphere. Will come back to share with my family! read more

The waffle fries are addictive! Very cool upscale casual bar and eatery in the old Swendon's location. Clean and open bar space and indoor eating area with garage doors that open to a nice front patio outdoor eating area. A good selection of draft and canned bottled beers with a decent wine selection and a full bar with a craft cocktail selection. Staff was friendly, prompt and attentive. Nice array of foods on the menu. A great addition to the NW food scene. Give this place a try. read more

Greeting 5 stars. The host was cheerful and welcoming. Ambience 4 stars. A little on the sterile side but very nice for sure. Vibe 3.5 stars. Similar to the above. Decor/cleanliness 5 stars. Bright, cheery and spotless. Staff friendliness/attitude 5 stars. Vincent rocks, bartender double rocks. Staff service 3.5 stars only because we arrived at 3:30 PM and while it was not busy at all, we found ourselves looking for servers to order additional drinks and food. We are trying to make eye contact "ovah here". Quality of food 3.5 stars mainly due to the brown iceberg pieces in both side salads. There was also much-too-much iceberg that wasn't green. For a salad of this size (which was a generous portion) it would be nice to see some of the green Romain hearts. The grilled shrimp tacos were good but flaming, hot and no warning from the server or on the menu. Vincent however, saved the day by smoking our old-fashioned right at our table. Now we call him Vince the smoker and our bartender....she's just plain awesome. read more

We stopped by one afternoon last week with about 10 minutes of happy hour left. Hubby got a margarita and a burger that he loved. It was a smashburger and huge and messy and he said the meat flavor was good! We shared the chips & salsa and you know what? It was delicious! I ordered the wings and got the Parmesan and bbq flavors. Good and fresh and pretty yummy. The barkeeper was nice and funny and I liked the way the water tasted ( yall know bc Tucson restaurant water is a hit or miss depending if they filter or not, ha) and this place was lead-less tasting. We say 5 stars and good experience. Think they are building one on the eastside so das good for us! read more

Overall: 3/5 (nothing great, nothing bad) Service: 5/5 (great staff, attentive, kind) Food: 4/5 (see below) Ambience: 3/5 (American strip mall aesthetic. I'm surprised others are rating this upscale) Value: 3/5 Looking for a quick bite to eat before heading back to Phoenix. Burgers were on the brain and Redbird was highly rated. We made a reservation on Yelp! When we arrived, we were promptly seated on the patio. Our server was attentive and kind. The burgers are big. Two quarter-pound patties. The other person in my party ordered a specialty burger off the menu, which they liked very much. I ordered the black bean veggie burger (which comes with one patty, no cheese, and only a single specialty topping) and is oddly more expensive a meat burger. I opted to add green chilis (up-charge). The the chilis were not spicy at all, and only mildly flavorful. The special Redbird burger sauce is a slightly watered down typical thousand island-esque burger sauce. Burgers do not come with a side. We added a small order of waffle fries. They were good, what you'd expect a waffle fry to be. The ranch that we asked to also be added (another charge), was good. Very garlicky. Overall, the meal was fine. The buns were buttery, the food was tasty but not remarkable or memorable. It was an easy place to get a good burger in a fairly convenient area. read more

I'm busy Sunday went to Redbird had a lovely helpful server, Natalia. The loss of a star is for overcharges on the bill not a fan of unannounced prices. What's on the menu is what you should pay. I hope they rectify this soon. That said I had the red bird chicken sandwich, which was tasty but not unusual. I'd give them another try. read more

We made reservations here for a date night. We were seated quickly but I'm glad I made reservations because the place filled up very quickly and I saw several people leave because they couldn't get a seat. The place was very clean and nice. The inside was a little louder than what we prefer. Our waiter was very nice and helpful with recommendations. Food wise we ended up going with the Caribbean jerk wings and the nashville- Arizona chicken sandwich which was absolutely fantastic! I've been craving this sandwich for the last week since we went. We will definitely be back to try other things on the menu! read more

Redbird Scratch Kitchen + Bar - Caribbean jerk wings - Chicken Wings Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

I visited Redbird during the soft opening and finally made it back again last night to celebrate my friend's birthday. I love that they take reservations, since it was super busy (no surprise on a Friday night,) but despite the crowd and several big parties, our drinks and food came out quickly. I had the watermelon mojito (a drink special that was not on the menu) to start and a pair of pollo asada tacos. Both were excellent and the tacos are big! I wouldn't have been able to finish the three-taco plate, so I'm glad they offer a la carte. I also tried the watermelon margarita, and although it was good, I preferred the mojito (so fresh tasting!) We also got to try the cinnamon roll bread pudding, which was amazing and on the house for my friend's birthday. This is a small spot, but they've done a great job of maximizing space and the staff were all so friendly. I'll definitely be back! read more

This restaurant just was not my thing - the food was mediocre. My friend had a chicken sandwich that was supposed to have spice. It was a dried out thick chicken breast with some sauce that wasn't spicy at all. Everyone knows you should use chicken thighs. I can't think of the last time a chicken breast hasn't tasted like a rubber chicken. My salad for $16, not including any protein, was huge. It was well composed, but I couldn't get comfortable with spending $21 for a salad, not even $16. It was crowded and strip mallish, which I expected. read more

Amazing food, great service, good prices, nice location and ambiance. We tried the chicken wings, waffle fries, Mac and cheese and a burger. According to my bf who got the burger, it was a little on the salty side, but good. The Mac and cheese was my favorite. The drinks were also amazing. We will definitely be back. read more
