My brother had been here before and I was hangry so he KNEW this would be a good spot. The burgers are smash burger style and this is literally one of the best burgers I've ever tasted in Tucson. The wings were super crispy and flavorful, not greasy at all! I only had the lemon pepper but it packed a ton of flavor. The Mac and cheese was creamy, and pretty great, just needed a little bit more salt. The shrimp tacos were delicious with a ton of flavor, the birria tacos were also a hit! The Asada tacos needed just a bit more seasoning but the meat was tender. These are the crispiest waffle fries I've ever had and their ranch is buttermilk base so of course, delicious! I would for sure recommend this place to anyone looking for all the food being bomb! read more

An absolute gem. We came here spur of the moment for an early dinner and there was an hour wait for inside seating. So we sat outside and the weather was beautiful. Be prepared to wait or make a reservation. The elote nachos were amazing. And the elote wings were also great (per my husband). And he also loved the ceviche. There are multiple vegetarian options available from tacos to a burger, and more. And they finish the meal with hot towels to wipe your hands. An excellent idea! The M.S.P. was an amazingly delicious cocktail. I would order it again. The service was prompt, professional, and overall excellent. The food came out very quickly and was just so good. We will absolutely be coming here again. read more

What an awesome place!!! Servers were awesome and food was delicious! Had the nachos, chicken tacos and street corn! I would go back weekly if I live here! read more

Redbird Scratch Kitchen made a GREAT first impression! I have only eaten there once so far, but I am absolutely planning to go back and try more. This is pub food taken to the next level. We started with the Garlic Confit Pretzels, which is a must-get if you love a soft pretzel. It was pretzels turned up to 11! I loved the garlic-forward flavor, which paired well with both the mustard and the delicious cheese dipping sauce. The pretzels themselves weren't too salty, and came out literally steaming hot. YUM. We then got the Crispy Nashville-Arizona Chicken sandwich (fried chicken covered in Nashville hot sauce with garlic-guajillo mayo, cabbage slaw, and dill pickles), Carne Asada tacos, and waffle fries to share. The tacos were good, but fairly middle-of-the-road when compared to other tacos around Tucson. The chicken sandwich, though, was ... *chef's kiss* ... excellent. The sauce was a more complex spice and flavor profile than I was expecting; it definitely delivered real heat, but also had layered flavors that made it a unique offering. The slaw provided a cooling counterpoint to all the heat, and the pickle gave a nice acidic note. This was a 10/10 sandwich, even with consideration given to the fact that my hands and face were COVERED in sauce by the time I finished it. Worth it. (Also, the server brought me a hot damp towel to wipe off with after I finished! It's a nice touch, and was much appreciated!) We went for dinner on weeknight, but it was packed, so I definitely recommend a reservation. Despite how busy it was, though, our food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and our server was attentive. read more

I will begin by saying that we may have come here on a bad night. There was a large party which appeared to just be ordering when we arrived. The Shrimp Ceviche had hardly any shrimp. Perhaps they had run out or were running out and trying to reserve? The menu had a refreshingly nice wine selection for a casual place. For our entrees,we were both going to get burgers, but they were out of gluten-free buns. I ended up ordering Shrimp Tacos. The food arrived cool. We also shared an order of waffle fries. The fries were good, but half of them were crumbs. Again, perhaps they were running out of food because of the large party. The atmosphere is very loud between conversions music. It's quite casual, but with a bistro like feel, in the way it's set up. It is not a big restaurant and has a full bar area separated from the eating area. It was a very nice evening (weather wise) and they had the patio door open, which was nice except for having to wave flying insects away. I don't know if this was a typical dinner night experience at this restaurant or a one off because of the large party. read more

Food was amazing, service was quick and prompt even agyer being told a 45 minute wait.

Made a reservation and came here on a Thursday evening. We were seated immediately. Server and staff were very friendly. I got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, which did not disappoint in the spice department. (I did wish the temperature of the chicken was warmer, felt like the patty may have been sitting out a bit). I also had the Elote nachos and those were very good, a little hint of sweetness. I definitely recommend the nachos, and Next time I plan to add meat. (You can add carne asada, chicken or birria) I also had a margarita that did not disappoint read more

recently I had connected with an old friend who had recommended trying Redbird. So my wife and I set a date night and we decided to check out the newest location off of Tucson, and it was amazing. I can honestly say this is the best experience we have had at a restaurant in a long time. Everything was five star, the level of attentiveness from the staff and our waitress (Mia), the customer service and tableside visits from house manager (Brent) and Sergio was much appreciate and I can honestly say they went above and beyond to make sure we had a 5 star experience. Rory and his team built a wonderful menu, catering to everyone, portions are large prices are reasonable and everything is delicious. We will definitely be going back and I would recommend this to anyone. James C. Tucson veteran of 38 years read more

Came in on a Saturday night and although the restaurant was packed we were able to grab a spot at the bar rather than quickly. Our bartender was friendly and service was quick. Decent size list of cocktails and beers on tap. This restaurant mainly focuses and hamburgers so if you're looking for one this would be a great place to go. Husband ordered the 3 party burger and it's was BIG!!! It was very tasting. I ordered the birria nachos and LOVED them. Their garlic pretzels were really tasty and I loved the dipping sides. One thing to note the burgers and sides are ala carte. Didn't bother us much since we have ordered so much beforehand. read more

Ambiance is cute and modern. Service was great! It was really busy so we had to wait 20 min for a table for 7 people however this place is quite small. Like we were in the way waiting for our table. It was uncomfortable to say the least. Now for food well everything on the menu sounded delicious I was expecting great things but unfortunately everything was over salted and had some garlic added to it?? The ranch we got had garlic in it. Didn't love that. My son's Mac and cheese sauce had spice in it and he couldn't eat it because it was spicy. I had three others at the table taste it. Confirmed there was a spice in it? So how is that kid friendly/on the kids menu!? Very odd. The burger was just a burger nothing to rave about but it was good. The pretzel was good as well it came with a really good honey mustard sauce and the cheese they used has spice so I'm assuming they use the same cheese for their Mac and cheese. I would say check it out. Maybe the chef had a heavy hand that night. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things. But I do want to try their elote nachos cause those looked great! read more

Just may have found my Favorite Burger in Tucson. A Smash Burger with 2 juicy patties. I always start off my 1st test with A Classic, with added Bacon and real avocados sliced or diced. Not GUACAMOLE style. This one was a super home run. It will be crazy fun adding new items on my next visit. They offer 8 Burgers that at least one, will surely find its way into your mouth. The Elote Nachos were amazing for the 4 of us to snack on as we sipped our drinks waiting for our meals. Highly Recommended. I also was Personally very surprised to see A Nor Cal Parducci Pinot and EVEN MORE SURPRISED HOW TASTY IT WAS with my burger. Outstanding Label not seen much in AZ. We finished our overdue Late Lunch visit with all of us tasting the Cinnamon Roll Bread pudding. I took half home with me for later. Great service by Our server Natalie and the GM Sergio. Thank you and see you again very soon. read more

Get the Elote Nachos-you won't regret it-but they are enough to share! Friendly, energetic place.

Quick service restaurant with ample parking and a big menu. Good selection with vegetarian options too. Tacos can be ordered as a single or plate of 3. Good service and only downside is that music was loud so not the best place to have a conversation. Highly recommend the bread pudding dessert. read more

I just wanted something small like a sangawich, a burger. Small. Well, this wasn't it. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken sangawich. No fries. I got my order and a you can see, I had to cut it in quarters. It was still too big for a bite. The sangawich was awesome. Great taste. A ton of flavor. With all the different things in it like pickles, blue cheese, etc. The favors all mixed well. I was so full when I finished. I was getting ready to ask for the check when the waitress asked if I wanted a slice of bread pudding. What? That's my fav. I asked if it was good? She said, ah,YEA. So I ordered one. I got a huge slice and it was loaded with a nice sweet frosting. Served nice and hot, it went down soooooo easy. Best I've ever had, and that's saying something. Everything was delicious. I have recommended Redbird to everyone, and now to you. This is a must. Great atmosphere. Excellent service. Really good food. You gotta go. read more

This place is popping! Came on a Saturday night and I'm very glad we had rezies! Every table was taken. The dinning room was on the louder side with calmer seating outside with heaters. I'd classify the food as elevated bar food - all plates tasted great and came out promptly. I'd highly recommend the loaded waffle fries as a starter. It's large enough for 3-4 to share. read more

Wow, they really turned a bad experience into a great experience. We visited this location recently while in town for a college tour. The vibe was great, the restaurant was lively and super clean. Our food was great, but we had a couple issues with our orders. Our server was super busy and neglected to check in on us until it was too late. I normally don't complain even when something goes wrong, but we had several issues that could have been quickly resolved had anyone, I mean anyone, checked in on us. It wasn't until we finished our meal and were ready for the check that our server returned. I couldn't bite my tongue and shared our concerns. He immediately apologized, brought over the owner who was genuinely concerned with our opinions and experience. This caring attitude and concern assured us that we had a unique experience. And honestly we left with such a good feeling, that we can't wait to go back. Like I said our food was great, just didn't quite come out as ordered. We will for sure be giving them another chance! Thank you to our server and the owner who showed genuine care about us as customers. read more

Arrived a bit early for our reservation but was seated immediately as the place was pretty empty but that changed pretty quickly. My server Vincent(I think) was cool, I had to ask him his name though as he didn't introduce himself. Asked him for recommendations and it was between a burger and tacos. I opted for the crispy shrimp tacos and they were just meh. They diced the shrimp so finely, it was more fried batter than anything. They put so much on the corn tortilla that it's impossible to eat but what I did eat was good. I was just using my fork by the end though. I had the chips and salsa to start with a side of guac and that didn't disappoint. I also had the fresh squeezed lemonade and it could've definitely used some sugar! All around good experience but I wish I had gone with the burger. read more

Great service, great wings, great drink options. And they were able to seat our party of seven within just a few mins!

Located in the old Sullivan's on corner of Orange Grove & Oracle. I highly recommend making a reservation online (especially dinner) since this place is BUSY. Those walking in had at least a one hour wait time and there's not a lot of seating inside with small patio seating. There were a couple of cute desert murals on the wall. There is a packed bar on one side. The menu items were burgers, tacos, and salads with option to order sidekicks. We ate sandwiches & burgers with waffle fries and street corn. The food was really good and drinks even better! Our server was sweet & attentive. It's a must try!! read more

Such a great new place. Everything was delicious. The margarita is made with Chamoy which I've been looking for and it is delicious. We started with the ceviche which was thick and yummy and then had the elote wings. Super unique and amazing wings that are big and melt in your mouth. Lots of flavor options for loaded wings. My chicken sandwich was so good, very spicy and mixed with pickles. Highly recommend the street corn! Not many places have it. Will be back but it's small so make a reservation. read more

An absolute amazing dinner and experience. 1st, we were promptly greeted by the hostess as soon as we walked in the door. Once seated, within moments our waiter David was at our table. He was extremely cheerful and welcoming telling us about the restaurant and going over the menu with us. We started off with the Elote Nachos with Birra....OMG!!! These things were not only a work of art visually, but tasted AMAZING!!! We order a couple of burgers for our entrees and a side of waffle fries with there 3 cheese sauce. Yet again....they hit it out of the park! Don't even get me started on the Cinnamon Bread Pudding for dessert. Throughout our dinner, everyone from our waiter, to the staff bringing our plates and drink orders, to even 1 of the owners himself was super friendly, welcoming, and attentive to ever patron at the establishment. I even saw Sergio, one of the owners, actual stop to bus and clean a table to get it ready for a waiting customer. If I could give this place more then 5 stars, I definitely would. First timers and definitely going back. The atmosphere was chill. The decor was epic. The staff was cheerful and welcoming. The service was amazing. Don't judge, we had to try different foods. And let me tell you it was all hit, fresh and delicious. The time it took for the food to come out was reasonable time. And they were busy, too. Our waiter was great as well. Overall great time. I recommend Redbird. Make sure to make reservations. read more

This place is INSANE! I don't think I'll stop thinking about that pretzel for weeks. We stopped in before heading back to phoenix and were blown away by the few food items we had. The birria quesadilla came out so hot you'd think they took it off the skillet and ran it to the table. It had such authentic flavor. Their fruit cup was strawberries blueberries pineapple and apple.. not a cantaloupe in sight which is how a fruit cup should be lol. Thanks for the great experience. Service and atmosphere was on point as well!! read more

I want to start off by apologizing for not uploading photos. We were excited to eat here and the food looked amazing when it came to the table. Okay let's go... We made the mistake of not making a reservation on a Saturday evening. We also had a large party of 8, but we patiently waited and got a table after about 45 minutes. The staff was extremely friendly and did their best to get us seated as quickly as possible. While we were waiting we were teased by several dishes that passed us on the way to tables. We actually built our menu based on most of these dishes. Once seated we were served super fast and had our drinks within a few minutes of ordering. We decided to go family style on a few items so the whole table could try as much as possible. We started with the street corn, which is a smaller appetizer. I'd suggest one order per two people. It's was extremely flavorful. Definitely a must. We then got the Elote Nachos. Let me take a second to remember how amazing these were. The plate was loaded and every single chip had toppings. I was surprised that no of the chips became soggy. But we ate this dish fast, so maybe it was us. again this dish is a must. We then ordered the classic wings. We went with the honey soy ginger and classic buffalo. The wings were perfectly cooked, and the portions were perfect in size. Definitely a must is your a wing person. To finish off we got a few of the burgers. I got the Sonoran Burger and man was I happy I did. Such a great flavor combination. The meat was well seasoned and just perfect in every way. We opted to pass on dessert. I'm not a big fan of bread pudding and that is the only option. All in all, Redbirds is a must for my Tucson Foodies. I can't wait to hit this place again. read more

Visiting Tucson and found this place. The street corn was absolutely off the hook! Simply perfect! Everything was delicious - we also enjoyed the black bean burger and Mac & cheese with bacon. And don't forget to try the Barrio Redbird amber ale made special for the restaurant by a local brewery. The service was excellent- we had a super friendly and attentive waitress. Walking into Redbird and the walls will pop with some fun scenes painted all around. We made a reservation and given the popularity of the place I would recommend you do so as well to avoid long wait times. Once seated we were greeted promptly by our very friendly and helpful server who didn't hesitate to give suggestions on things to try. I immediately eyeballed the elote nachos and started with that and a dragoon IPA. There many is large and varied. When the nachos arrived the textures and layers were quite impressive. Each bite proved to be its own pallet of flavor combinations and the candied peppers were a superb touch for a sweet and spicy combination. When the main courses we ordered arrived the presentation made for a very mouth watering sight. I ordered the Arizona Hot Chicken which is Redbird's local take on Nashville Hot Chicken. It did not disappoint. I also got a side salad with mine and the attention to detail of how food is served in the place immediately made a mark in my head. The salad was delicious filled with greens and pickled vegetables. It was a flavor cascade and a salad quite unlike any I have ever tasted. For a side salad with a dinner it was quite remarkable. The chicken sandwich was delicious, not too spicy, the pickles were a good sour tasting fermented pickle that added to the flavor cavalcade. Then I got a scoop of the slaw with my next bite and I was sold. This place generally cares about the quality of their food they serve and they want each bite to be an experience and a treat for your taste buds! I would highly recommend Redbird for a great culinary experience. The ambience is fun and the atmosphere is great. The food is really unique and flavorful and care is taken into how each dish is prepared. read more

She arrived at our table with a smile and was pleasant and friendly, answering our questions about the menu. Great new spot! Came in on the recommendation of a friend who said "Their food is fire!" He wasn't lying. Simple menu consisting of tacos, wings and burger (vegan option available) and chicken sandwiches. This time we tried the wings and tacos. We went the individual taco route and got a Carne asada on flour and a crispy shrimp on corn. The carne asdada was tender and flavorful with a good portion of meat but the crispy shrimp was the star! Tender sweet shrimp in a light but crispy batter. You can choose what salsa you want to go with your tacos. I chose the salsa Verde. It wasn't very spicy but it was very tasty. Now let's talk wings! Todays outing consisted of me be my bestie who is a wing snob and he declared them his favorite in Tucson. They're good size wings and even though they're not breaded they have a very crispy skin and just the right amount of sauce. What he said put them over the top was the addition of pickled carrots and celery served in the sauce and then topped with a sprinkling of ranch flavored bread crumbs all combined giving them a unique consistency and several levels of flavor. I love how after your done they give you a warm wash cloth to clean up with. Classy! Server David and bartenders Kirsten and Kaylee were all outstanding. Very friendly and helpful with questions we had. I can't wait to go back and try one of the burgers I saw walk past. They smelled fantastic! read more
