Talk about A1 top tier service by Benito! From start to finish even though it was busy he was able to multiple task and still provide great service! read more

The moment we walked in we were greeted. Poly's & Benito's approach was extremely welcoming. Benito took his time to educate us on why their boots and brands are different from others. My husband got his foot scanned to make sure we purchased the correct size and knew for future what we would look for . Benito showed and gave us undivided attention and education. Did not pressure us to make a purchase nor felt like we were being sold something that we weren't unsure about. He educated to make the right purchase. Thank you Benito! read more

Really awesome staff. They brought me plenty of size options and really focused on my particular foot shape to get me into the right boot. They are patient and really know the brand and the lasts. It was so helpful for me. read more

My son needed his first pair of boots for a job he's starting. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I believe it was Benito that assisted. I loved the personalized experience and that they were able to make recommendations on what would be more comfortable based on job description and foot structure. There was no pressure to make a purchase and he was very patient with my son who has never owned a pair of boots. He took the time to show him the proper way to lace them and tie them. Went over how it should fit and feel. While my son didn't need the boots right away we still purchased them today because he has a very difficult time finding shoes. Highly recommend this location. read more

Big feller who works here is a delight. Just bought some IRs. Why shop elsewhere? Friendly guys and know their stuff on the product. Didn't try to upsell me and kept it straight. read more

Great selection of boots and the staff was very knowledgable and helpful. Would recommend to anyone needing high quality boots for work.

When this place cleans and conditions, they don't just brush it for 10 seconds and condition it like some of the other San Jose locations I've visited. They actually clean it and then condition it. The boots came back to me smelling like a mild cleaner of some sort and looking all [mink] oiled up. It did take several days, but to be fair, this is a busy Red Wing location and the job was done thoroughly. I took the week; so I didn't mind the wait. It's worth the wait to keep the shoes lasting and looking and feeling good. I've had Red Wing steel toe work boots for approximately 2 years and some change. They've gotten many compliments and gone through/over rain, mud, sand, creeks, and up and down steep embankments along creeks and freeways. I make certain to bring them for a cleaning and conditioning every 3-6 months, even though I do that myself sometimes after a muddy day or week. With the cork Birkenstock insole, these Traction Tred Lites are comfortable and all-day-support type of work boots. I haven't been able to say that previously about work shoes. Only con is it does feel as if the cold weather is coming through those moccasin-style seams around the toe when it's raining... read more

Guys if your looking for a really good customer service & sales experience look for L U C K Y!, this guy is very passionate & honest on what he does! As a collector I meticulously choose all the heritage products that I get from red wings and L U C K Y is the go to person for that! Great on giving advice! read more

I use to hate redwing! (The Nike of work boots) but man. For me. Now nothing compares. As far as the the store? Great spot my go to spot . The ladies here know their stuff and that new fitment machine is bad ass! They take their time and really help you find a boot that works for you. Service is A1 Only gripe is that for the price you pay for a pair of boots you should at least get a pair of socks a beanie shoot even some stickers be cool!?? alone easily over 200$ depending what you chose mine are usually 260 before tax's. read more

Employee was very nice and knowledge helped me solve my shoelace problem! I needed something thin and he helped tell me and show me all the shoelace types! read more

I'm wearing heritage 875s in oro-legacy and my feet hurt a lot. It's day 2 of break-in and I'm told that once these boots fit my feet, it'll be worth it. I'm still waiting, hopefully that day will come. Staff is super helpful and even stayed late to help me make my decision. They ordered 2 models in my size to try and the shoe quality seems to be top notch. I'm hoping to update this review in 6 months because by then my feet shouldn't feel like I'm walking in a stiff vise-grip of pain. read more

I got my Redwing for my birthday. It was a gift but unfortunately my shoes was too big for my feet. I visited there and tried to exchange but they did not have my size so I had wait until the product arrived. They measure your size of the feet and suggest the best option. I have been wearing size 9 but somehow for redwing, I had to wear size 8. It has been great fit, I don't know what's wrong with my feet, but I am loving it. The process of exchanging was super easy and stress free. They did not ask much of details or restriction. Very nice staffs and great shoes. read more

I needed some boots for my new job with the city of SJ. I have never been into a Redwings before but was extremely impressed with the presentation and service I was provided. Matt and Benito are excellent service members to have in board, and together I reckon they've earned a repeat customer for Redwing Shoes. Thanks guys! read more

I have never heard of Red Wing until after I told the bf he really needs a pair of water proof shoes that are comfortable to walk around in for traveling since his sneakers always get soaked in the rain. He promptly started researching Red Wing and there was a store here in the Bay Area! Apparently Nordstrom also carries Red Wing shoes though ... and some exclusive styles that are just made for Nordstroms. This store is nice, plenty of selection, lots of sizes and the owner is extremely friendly. He is always eager and willing to help you find the perfect pair of boots even if you have to go through 4-5 different styles and sizes. He's very knowledgeable about the shoes and is able to make you real, honest recommendations and not just try to sell you on the most expensive thing he has in the store. This is the place to go, and the shoes to go for if you need a pair of solid work boots or something comfortable to weather the elements. read more

Very helpful. I have the ratcheting steel shoe laces and one snapped off by the dial on my left boot. It was fixed that same day and both boots reconditioned free of charge. You just dont get that kind of service and standing by their product like this anymore. Staff was great! read more

I don't live in the Bay Area, but this store had the boots I wanted in stock. The manager Lucky made it easy for me to get the ones I wanted. I called, he confirmed they had them, got my info, I paid and a day later I had my shoes. That gets 5 stars, but it got better. First pair were too big, no big deal. Lucky sent out the next size smaller and one day later I had them, along with a return label for the ones I was going to send back. 6 stars if it were possible. read more

I bought a pair of Oxblood Iron Rangers here a few weeks ago. I had such an excellent experience at this location. Matt helped me out and measured my feet. I got a great fitting pair of boots in no time at all. Another store person, Lucky was there and both of these men really added to the Red Wing experience, very knowledgeable about the product and overall atmosphere. The product speaks for itself but customer service is so important when putting out this kind of money for boots. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this location or the product and I look forward to buying more in the future! read more

If I could leave negative stars, I would. Im out here with my crew restoring people's power and we decided we needed new pair of boots. We arrived a few minutes early, no big deal we'll wait until it opens. Waited several minutes after opening time and the doors were never opened, mind you were standing in front of the door visible to the employee the whole time. I may never own a pair of red wings again .. read more

Not terribly happy with my Red Wing experience. The first salesman I met sized me up, and sold me a pair of 13D boots, but after wearing them for a day I realized they were way too big. Called and they told me to bring them back, and they'd take them back if they didn't show wear. When I returned the second salesman agreed I'd been sold boots way too big. He accepted them back and ordered a pair of 13's after again sizing my foot. Kudos for that! Upon returning the second time, the 13's fit better but after wearing them for a couple weeks I've realized they are never going to fit properly. The width is good but the length is more like a 14. My toe comes nowhere near where it's supposed to and my foot slips around, causing a blister on my toe. I am guessing I need a 12D or maybe Red Wings aren't for my foot type at all. Reading up on the Red Wing Heritage line it seems the sizing issue is well known and most people size down at least one size. read more

Red Wing makes the best work shoes, have forever. Now they make a line of heritage shoes as well. I've owned various pairs of redwings for over 30 years and have had them resoled many times. Their dealer network is vast and their customer support is excellent. The employees here are knowledgeable and friendly. The store is very clean and modern and they carry a wide selection of shoes and supplies. You can order from their catalog if they don't have what you want. I placed a special order which came in on time. read more

Repair's way too much. I have old boots and a trying to fix the sole and then the guy is on the cashier tell me just to fix the sole cost $180.00. Others stores around same area charge $115..00 do not come into this store store for repairs. Steven's creek blvd. read more

5 stars for having my size and for holding it for me! I originally went to the blossom hill location. That store had the steel toes that I wanted but the problem was that it had manufacturers glue all over the sides of it. So, the blossom hill workers called up this store and asked if they had the same kind of steel toes and asked if they could have it transferred to their location. I asked them how far Stevens creek from blossom hill and it turned out it was only 15mins away. I kindly asked if they could hold the shoes for me so I could pick it up that day. They said they would and in 15-20mins I was there getting my shoes that I wanted. YES! If you only knew how hard it is to find shoes in my size!! (5.5 women's). Anyways, a big thanks to both stores (BLOSSOM HILL AND STEVENS CREEK) for helping a homie out! YOU ARE APPRECIATED! ;D read more

The guy who runs this place knows his shit. When I came in looking for a pair of motorcycle boots I could commute in, but still wear around the office her directed me to one of the last "made in the USA" pair available anywhere! Most of the boots will still be made domestically, but the motorcycle line are already being made overseas and compared side by side, the new ones are the kind of crap you'd expect to come out of China, which coincidentally is where they are made now. There's a lot to be said for american craftmanship. Not to mention the proprieter custom fitted the boots to my feet by stretching the toe box. Red Wing boots are known to outlive their owners and I'm proud to own a pair of the last hand-made in the USA originals. read more

My husband just recently started working at Frys Electronics. This is a job that requires you to stand all day long...He has dislocated both knees in the past so he was in need of an outstanding shoe with good support in order to do his job properly at Frys. I called "Jennifer" at Red Wing Shoe Store and explained to her the type of shoe that we needed in order for him to be comfortable and also within the dress code. She found the exact shoe that he needed and we hadnt even been to the store yet! We arrived to have him fitted and I was even able to bring our small Poodle in the store with us and he sat with me while we watched my husband choose the shoe for him. Red Wings are not CHEAP. But I will say this, The last pair my husband had lasted 5 years! Great quality shoe, and it helps when the service is extremely knowledgable about what they are selling. We will definately be back! read more

It's been almost a year since my review. During this time, I've visited the store a number of times, and each time I get the same courteous service from any person that works there. They know their product they sell. Today was exceptional surprising. I won't go into the details, but if this store is any indication of what Red Wing Shoe Company is about, then I'll be purchasing all of my hiking or work boot related shoes here. As far as I'm concerned your excellence is not an act, but a habit. Thanks Matt! Thanks Red Wing! read more

This is a long time coming, Lucky at the red wing store has sold me my last two pairs of work boots. He fitted me so I actually know my size and have less foot pain. Having a wide foot I always bought shoes that were larger than I needed. But now after getting sized I can ask for my right size. 9 double E. Matt and Zachary have both taken the time to answer all my questions, cleaned and polished, as well as put on the tuff toe. My feet are grateful for the awesome service you provide and the quality product you offer. read more

Great store and awesome and nice employees. I would like them to have a wider variety of colors for their heritage brands. I feel like I need to make multiple stops to try each individual shoe. Tips: 1. Check if shoes both shoes look the same I found that the toe of my moc-toe boot looked warped and unfortunately they did not catch it. I asked for a replacement in store and they ordered another one for me. 2. Try it on. This is not Nike. You need to try on these boots and tighten them up. You cannot just go online and assume that the boot size is the same as the other boots you get. The only reason I give it 5 stars is because there is pretty much no other consistent way to get a red wing boot. Each shoe is different and it is difficult to just go online and purchase a boot and assume that it fits. You need to go to a store and purchase them. It is a hassle, but the heritage boots are worth it. I will be coming back when I have a bit more budget in the fashion category. read more

This review is more about the service than the shoes. I'm super happy with the quality of my boots so far, and they were priced well. The service here was not good. When I came in the guy behind the desk was totally disinterested, when I asked questions he seemed genuinely annoyed by my presence. Trying on two pairs of shoes with this guy felt like an eternity of awkwardness. Luckily the third pair fit so I could pay and get out but I'm not excited about having to ever go back in there. read more

Great customer service, as expected with a Red Wing store. Within minutes of me walking through the door, Zach had me fitted and trying on boots.
