Currently sitting in front of this red wing store writing this review. I brought in a pair of work boots I bought 6 months ago. The sole has literally cracked on the ball of the sole a half inch all the way to the insole(the bottoms still have tread on them). Female employee told me there is nothing that can be done but to either buy new boots or have the sole redone for 100$ and wait 4 weeks. So I came outside to read the warranty information and have found nothing stating what she has told me. What a waste of time. read more

ALWAYS EXTREMELY RUDE!!!! If there was a negative star option, that would have been what I would select. We have never had a good experience at this location, but this is the location that is close to us. We will make the drive to Torrance from now on to avoid the rude employees who work here. We get a pair of boots every year from work. You can normally get it anywhere, but Red Wing already has our account in the file. Make life a little easier. I came here with three of my coworkers, and there were only two of them. All four of us were in need of new boots. Customer service was excellent. They went back and forth between the four or us, getting different style of boots, different sizes, and even had time to recondition our boots while we shop, while remaining courteous and friendly. Still 5-star. I had my first pair of boots resoled at the factory; they're a bit beat up with scuffs, scrapes and a few cuts but have new soles. I keep those as standby boots. I put on that "fireman zipper" on them to make doffing/donning easier...when I came to have them resoled the reps said "I've never seen anyone figure out how to put those in". They come with instructions and take some time to make them fit properly but after over two years of daily wear, the zipper finally failed (pulls came out and the zipper eventually unraveled). Went with a side-zip from Worx with a composite sole (working security but around electrical equipment) and they're MUCH easier to wear. Absolutely no issues with the zipper, just a couple years daily wear and I have to retire them (the insoles are all worn). The rep this time (Adriana?) told me they were a wide size and I should try a normal. Asked her how she knew and she told me "See how your boots kinda slouch? That means they're too wide and that's why you had all that rubbing inside the boot." So now I'm on pair three (well, pair #2 in Worx) in a normal width and so far, so good. Again, not a place to get a cheap pair of boots (go to Walmart for that) and I don't mind spending money on quality gear. read more

Lisa( an employee at the store) was helpful she trouble shoot why the boots were uncomfortable on feet and she narrowed it down and found the problem. Lisa knows what she's doing. I appreciate the patience and customer service here. Not only do they have quality shoes/boots here, but they offer lifetime warranties for repairs and replacements! Hubs couldn't decide what work boots he wanted. The staff was quite helpful and efficient. And most importantly patient! It's on the pricey side but when you think about it, the shoes/boots here are an investment so it's worth it! Comfort and safety over everything! read more

Sole came unglued from shoe 5th pair of shoes I bought from them that this has happened to. 1st 4 pair I threw out .Then someone told me they should replace them . Brought shoes in. They would not replace. You can tell shoe had been worn 1 or 2 times only. I will take my business & ilwu shoe voucher elsewhere . read more

Dont be fooled by the name, this company just wants your money, and after that you're on your own. I bought a pair of red wing boots 12 years ago, and while they were comfortable, the sole lasted me just over 2 months. When I went back to the store to inquire about why a $200 pair of boots lasted only 2 months, I was shut down, they couldnt be resolved, no refund, no exchange, wouldnt even offer me a discount towards a new pair. I told myself I'd never go back. Fast forward to February 2020, I was in the market for new boots and decided to give them another shot, only to be screwed again. The boots I got are really tight right at the top of my foot, so by lunch time I'm in extreme pain feeling like my foot is being crushed into a funnel. I've tried everything I can think of to stretch the boot, but I dont have the tools for it. So I went back to the store today to see if they could somehow stretch it just a little, not wanting to just give up on the boots. The guy told me he couldn't help me, and because it's been over a month, wouldnt refund or exchange them. Times change, but apparently red wing shoes has not. Now I'm stuck with a practically new $325 pair of boots that are useless, and no support from the manufacturer. I guess they already got their money, so fuck me, huh? 1 star is the minimum I can give otherwise it would have been 0. read more

Carlos was very attentive and helpful with figuring out which exact boots I needed, even though the store was about to close, I never felt rushed. I didn't take my time either but it's nice to know that they really want to help you no matter what time you come in. The shoes are expensive but from what I hear they will last you a long time if you put in the work to take care of them. All in all a great first time experience. read more

As far as safety shoe stores go, this Red Wing is pretty nice. I've been coming here for a few years now. I'm pretty picky when it comes to my safety boots, honestly so many I've tried in the past are either cheaply made, very uncomfortable, or even both. Red Wings has a pretty good size selection, and most of their boots are fairly comfortable. I mean honestly, a boot with a steel toe in it is not going to be like wearing your comfy tennies! I've found a few pairs that have worked out well for me, including Worx, Red Wing, and Florsheim (although they don't carry Florsheim any longer) so far over the years, I've been happy with most all the boots I've bought. The service here is excellent, I've never had any problems getting the help I need, answering of any questions I have and just being there for me when it's time to pick one or two pairs out to try on. The parking here can get a bit crowded if you go around lunchtime. I've found that if you go early or after lunch you can be almost certain to get a spot out front. read more

Staff is masked up but they need way better signage. The staff makes up for this by yelling at the customers. I am positive most of the customers in there would have left if they weren't using the employee boot vouchers, would have to say with the quality of the customer service and the boots in decent and the price's steeply increasing annually I will defiantly think twice about ever using this store again read more

Went in to get some boots with a buddy. Shop workers were pretty unprofessional. They sold us the wrong boots and when we went to exchange them they gave my friend grief. They exchanged my size, and they said they didn't have his size. The worst part was the clerk didn't offer to tell him if any stores in the surrounding area had the shoe in stock. It all boils down to a lack of customer service. You lost money today, my business in the future and no doubt my friends business. read more

I have hard to fit feet so I'm used to having a frustrating experience. I was looking for a good quality pull on style boot that I could literally wear everyday and as a motorcycle or uniform boot. I settled on the Red Wing 1125 "Pecos" boot. I called a local Red Wing store to see of they had them in stock. They didn't, but they quickly checked their computer and I was told they had them in the Long Beach store. I walked into the Long Beach store about an hour later and a very nice young lady with multiple tattoos help me out. Red Wing has a new electronic measuring device that measures your feet with incredible accuracy. They pegged my oddly shaped feet quickly and their computer made some recommendations. I've always worn D width shoes and had to "stretch" them out. The computer recommended E width in this particular model. I tried them and they fit really well. The right boot was slightly tight, but the computer showed I have a slightly high instep on that foot. I bought them anyway and used an old army trick to get them perfect. I wore the boots the rest of the day and rubbed some rubbing alcohol along the instep as I wore them. by the end of the day they fit perfect! This boot is super solid and I'm sure will last me for many years. The young lady at the store was fantastic! Over all I'm really a happy customer and I'm already thinking about going back for a lace on boot! read more

I came here about a year ago looking for new pair of work boots , previously I had a pair of Dr. Martins which had lasted me for over 10 years. Reason I didn't buy another pair of dr.Martin's was because they are no longer made in the U.K so my wife wanted to get me a quality made in America work boot so we came to this store we have no complaints about service it was good I tried on a few boots finally settled on a pair the Irish setter model they felt great really comfortable like no other boot I've worn before . The boots came out to over $300. At first I was pleased with the boots but after 2 months the boots were feeling more like my 10 year old boots 8 months later the sole started coming unglued and now at year and half my left boot has a hole on left side . Well needless to say I will never be buying redwing boots again, i have previously bought caterpillar, timberland and Dr.Martins all at $100 or under and they all outlasted the redwing boot. Anyway later on after buying the redwing boots we found out they are made in China not American made . read more

My husband is a diesel technician. Since he's on his feet all day, I want to make sure he has both, comfortable and safe shoes....which is EXACTLY what Redwings has to offer. The first pair of Redwings we bought were back in 2007 and they lasted 7 years...we just bought his 2nd pair and we're very confident that it'll last another few years. Since it's been so long since we bought his first pair of boots, we weren't quite sure what boots were the right fit and best for his line of work...the employees at this store were SO helpful and great...they showed us different types, answered all our questions AND even put the boots on my husband...now THAT'S GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Unfortunately, not all Redwings stores have this type of great service, which we sadly experienced first hand...these shoes aren't cheap, so of course we want to make sure we buy the perfect pair... that being said...we HIGHLY RECOMMEND this store and their awesome staff!! read more

Been hearing about Red Wings for years and all my friends have gotten work boots here so I'm just falling in line, for good reason to. Saturday morning, kinda of busy but that's ok, when it was my turn, Josh, a nice kid helped me find the perfect pair of boots for my situation. He was very patient and took his time to show me 3 different types that would fit what I'm looking for. He was knowledgable and having worn the merchandise he was selling it was a first person review, not just reading the box. Great policy on returns and guarantee's. I am very happy with the boots I bought and I'm wearing them right now and all weekend to break them in for the work week ahead. If your into comfort I recommend the insoles. They are a bit pricey but you can't put a price on happy feet. They will let you walk around outside with the ones you try on so you got no excuse to head over to Red Wings and take the shoelace express to happy foot town. read more
