I was so impressed, I brought one of my employees to work with this same location. Mikayla was top notch. Asking detailed questions of my guy, so that she could link him up with the right boot for the job. Wish other companies took as much pride in their product as these guys. Walked in about two saturdays ago, there were two employees helping people so I decided to go to the sock rack to see what socks I might take with the boots I was planning on purchasing. I was looking for maybe 5 minutes then went to the front to wait until someone actually acknowledged I was there to purchase boots. I would say maybe 10-15 minutes went by since walking in and I never got greeted, glanced at or told I was going to be attended after one of the employees were done with their costumers. Been going to Red Wing locations my entire adult life and this is hands down the worst location I've ever been to. I have been here several times to purchase boots....they are understaffed and the staff they do have are so slow it will take you HOURS with just a couple people ahead of you in store, more than likely resulting in them not having the model you want in stock. read more

Passed an elderly woman in a t shirt smoking near the front door, went in and she followed me in asking "can I help you?" I tell her I need an oil resistant composite toe work boot, she walks me over to the wall and shows me 1 pretty generic boot, I explain my co-worker recently came in with a really nice pair of Redwing boots, and she tells me " he must've went to a different store", and we stood and looked at each other.... Boot fell apart within the first 2 months. I went back to try to return it and she said I was past the six month mark and when I brought it to her attention that it was not in fact 6 months she made up a lie saying that it was all cosmetic so I they were going to charge me if I wanted them fixed. read more

Tempe let us try on 5 sizes to find our perfect fit and remeasured us! Also!!! The employee who helped us, Carlton, told us we have a 30 day guarantee and Gilbert said as soon as we walked out the door the shoes were ours! wtf! anyways whole different experience! I had purchased a pair of boots and had an issue with one of them a couple of days after the purchase. I was very discouraged at the time as I spent a lot of money on them and was now being told that the boots needed to go to the cobbler. The wait time I was told by the associate was 2 to 4 weeks. I couldn't be without boots for work, and unfortunately, I had to go to another location where I spent yet another $200 on another pair of boots. To be fair, the associate helping me that day was new and wasn't aware that he could've done more to help me. It was a good training experience for him. Hopefully, it will help him be a better associate for future customers. The store manager Deniene was absolutely amazing the day I initially purchased the boots. In my life, I've never had someone pay as much attention to helping me get into a good pair of boots. I truly mean that. I didn't think that kind of customer service still existed. She truly cares about her customers, and it shows. Despite the incident (which isn't the store's fault), I will absolutely go back to this store. We have been trying to get my husband new boots for weeks- they are only allowing one customer in the store at a time- why? With masks you don't have to social distance and in over 100 degree temps- waiting outside or running your vehicle is not practical. The phones are mostly constant busy or left to voicemail not returned. I left a second message today- I would think curbside service would be preferred and calls would be returned. Every time I come to this location, they have great customer service and I leave satisfied. I feel like I'm really getting my monies worth coming to this store. The employees are very knowledgeable, on a level I didn't think shoes had. Far more to a pair of boots than I ever imagined and they know it all! I've bought several boots from here, including work boots for my wife. My Red Wings have outlasted a few other boots I have, without needing serviced. I work in construction and with glass. Resting sharp glass on the toe of my boots for over a year and the leather is finally getting tore up. I had them put their toe armor on - took them less than a day and at the cost of just the supplies ($35)! I couldn't be happier! The owner, Michael started assisting my husband with all his shoe needs. He first put my husband's feet in a foot analyzer that gave results for arch, and width of foot. The owner listened to my husband's requests, and quickly came out with three to four different pairs of boots. We liked the service we received, and felt that all our needs were met. What was also great about it, was the process that went with it. Micaela and her partner, also helped me find the perfect boot for my daily needs. What was also neat, they took the time to show and demonstrate how to apply the conditioner oil to the boots and ways to make sure these boots last a really long time. Recently purchased a nice pair of hiking boots from Lauren at this store. He was very helpful and patient as I was looking for two specific boots to compare. He took my current favorite pair and oiled them and replaced the laces while I was narrowing down my picks. Easy going and helpful at this store. I broke them in and took them out to Sedona and page to try them out. Very good grip on the rocks and ledges. Comfortable enough for day to day so I wear them to work too. Redwing is based out of my home state of Minnesota so they know backwoods and hiking very well. Many styles are named after towns in MN like Redwing, Ely and Two Harbors. This location has a good selection of work boots and has most sizes in-stock. They electronically measure your feet to get the correct size and an insole if needed. The staff are very knowledgeable about the products they sell and are not pushy - which I appreciate. When purchasing something you will be standing in for 8+ hours a day 5 days a week you want to be able to be confident that you are getting the correct style and size and the staff do everything to ensure you walk out having made the correct decision. They have a 30 day return policy. They will oil your boots monthly free of charge, replace broken laces free of charge, and make small repairs free of charge. Where else can you get that kind of service for footwear? On march 3rd i purchased a pair of boots, also purchased the black cover for the steel toe part of the boot. Left Them the pair so that way they could put the cover on, they said it would take about two days, waited until today friday and called them, they said that they have to "research" something. The way the guy sounded made it sound that something was not right, decided to then drive 40 minutes to get to the store since i never got a call back. Granted the reason i chose this store was due to the ravishing reviews i had read on here. When i get there i ask the lady who seems to be the manager, where my boots were, i gave her my name and she said that they didn't have them that they were in phoenix and that she personally was going to go get them this weekend and that i can pick them Up sunday afternoon. I then asked her why the salesperson told me they'd be ready in two days and she just replied with an i don't know. Now, i'm not a confrontational person and there were customers there and i decided to not make a scene, i decided to walk away. Now.....i HATE lies. Who doesn't right? Well as i'm getting into the car the other salesman comes out(whom i talked to on the phone) and he says that he "tried" calling me back but it went to voicemail(why not leave a voicemail i thought) he then says that he somehow found my pair of shoes in the back on top of a desk. So does that mean that i was lied to? If that's the case does that mean that all your salesman are like that? That's not very professional of them at all!! I'm not a rich person by any means, just a mechanic who works for a living who wanted a good pair of boots. Hostile environment of know it all shoe salesman. I've been going to this store for 5+ years but this time when I went in there, the sales women helping me did not listen to my actual needs and kept suggesting otherwise on my wants. She'd follow up with sarcastic remarks when I would ask questions and forced me into a shoe I didn't want. I was willing to give them a try as I needed boots but 1 day in them I realized the logger heal was not my cup of tea, and the arch was not sitting well, so I attempted a return (which Redwing is usually amazing with there returns) when I returned the next day, the older gentleman in the store got all high and mighty and said you're not returning these, we will make them work. When I stated no, we will not, I do not want them. he said "this is my store and you will not be returning them" ...are you kidding me? I have never been treated like that in any store... He said he had to contact corporate for the return so I just called them myself. Corporate rectified the situation but I still have to mail them in for a return because the old guy at the store had a chip on his shoulder... anyways If you go there. Stay clear of Deniene, the original sales lady. She has an attitude. As for the old man, he is usually cool, and is actually very knowledgeable, but this time he lost redwing a customer.
