Red wings are so worth the $$$ if u don't want work to kill you
    Shelli H.

Red wing shoes are definately the way to go if your job requires many hours on your feet and especially if you need protection on your feet. Back in the day when I waited tables I wore them even though admittedly they were kinda ugly, it didn't matter, my feet didn't hurt as bad at the end of the day. My husband when he actively did the construction he now manages had to have them and he still owns them! He also has newer ones for projects around the house or site visits. This last visit was to purchase my eldest sons 1st pair as he has just landed a job in the construction/electrician field. I had forgotten how thourough they are with your little piggys. We found the perfect boot, steel toes and electrical rated, ofcourse waterproof. Fall sale gave us 20 dollars off. Shoes from Red Wings are always free to bring in to have oiled and shoelaces are free for life. I like knowing that my boys feet are safe and that his young feet may not grow as old as mine feel too quickly. Red Wings quality and craftsmanship are absolutely woth the pricetag.

    Size 11, please

"YOU HAVE BRAINS IN YOUR HEAD. YOU HAVE FEET IN YOUR SHOES." Dr. Seuss (From my favorite book: "Oh, The Places You'll Go") You certainly do have feet in your shoes. And it's important to wear shoes that protect your little piggies. I think that comfortable shoes are incredibly important, and you should never settle or try to save money when shoe shopping. My husband wears a low, slip-on style boot when he's flying. We actually saw his flight shoes while shopping for him in here last night. We are looking for Uggs-style boots, for men. Red Wing had sheepskin-lined shoes, but none that were boot-like. Not that I'm a Tom Brady fan, but I understand why he wears Uggs. They're sooo comfy. (Uggly, yes. But very comfy.) He tried on a bootie-type shoe in a size 11 (they don't have 1/2 sizes, or at least didn't in this style) but we decided we'll prob go to the Ugg store. We did see an awesome laser device for determining correct shoe size. Fun. We received very attentive assistance from the girl working last night. AND, as she finished with us, I heard her say my favorite words to the next customer she helped: "I'm sorry for the wait; thank you for your patience." Fantastic customer service.

Walked in and was greeted by Sonny. Luckily I knew what I wanted for the most part, but Sonny was super helpful with some recommendations. I will most definitely go back in the future for shoes and there great socks. Parking was not a hassle for me, but keep in mind I went mid-week around 3 pm. I hope everyone has as smooth as an experience as I had.

What a great sales lady. Her name is "Bri"! When you go there ask for her. She goes above and…read morebeyond! I found a pair of shoes online from Footwear etc. I wanted to be sure (1) store was legitimate (2) shoes were new in org box (3) the actually had them in my size. So I called the Walnut Creek Store! Bri answered the phone. She's wonderful! Took the time to find out what I wanted and since I wasn't in the computer system, she explained, in a very nice way, that I'd need to come down to store. So I did. So glad I did! She again, took the time to call each of the stores that had the last pairs (2 pairs) to make sure they were available. Imputed me in the system. Gave me "free" shipping. And was so professional, kind, and curious, I was very impressed. This was on one of the busiest days (Mother's Day) and store was full of customers. I looked around and loved their selection of shoes. I'll definitely be back to shop there next time I'm in the market for some new shoes. Thank you Bri. And thank you Footwear etc.

This location carried the '25 Brooks for men, but was a bit behind for the women's section and seemed to only carry the '24 and before. The new '25's/'26's have a bit of a futuristic large white heel so they're easy to spot. While the service was rather neutral as the associates were busy, the prices were comparable with what's online for both the shoes and feetures socks, so I could absolutely see myself stopping in when I need something immediately. All in all, I would absolutely come back.

The right shoes--and the right guidance--can make all the difference…read more I returned to Road Runner Sports after my Nike Pegasus 42s started feeling unstable, almost like my ankle was rolling and the cushioning was off. Thanks to the VIP program, I was able to exchange them within the 90-day return window and work with Travis again. Travis is knowledgeable, patient, and great at explaining how each shoe moves and supports your foot. Based on his demonstration, I switched to the Brooks Glycerin Flex, and I'm glad I did. During a run, I stepped into a hole in the pavement, and I truly believe the stability of the shoe helped keep the injury from being much worse. Road Runner Sports is an excellent resource for runners and athletes because the staff considers your stride, foot strike, comfort, and activity level--not just the shoe's appearance. The prices are comparable to other retailers, but here you also receive expert guidance and the added protection of the VIP return policy. Congratulations to Travis and his future bride on their upcoming Halloween wedding! I definitely recommend this location.

Important: This review is specifically about Road Runner Sports' online sales and customer service…read moreexperience, not their retail stores. I'm a VIP member of Road Runner Sports, so this experience was particularly disappointing. I placed an online order in early August for a pair of shoes that were on backorder, with an expected shipping date around mid-August. From then on, the expected shipping date kept getting pushed back week after week. Each time I followed up, I was reassured that the next expected date would be honored and that my order would be prioritized once the shoes became available. Based on those assurances, I decided not to purchase the shoes elsewhere. Unfortunately, these shoes are in high demand, and by the time I found out Road Runner Sports could not fulfill my order, they were no longer available elsewhere either. Today was the latest date I had been told to expect the shoes. When they didn't arrive, I contacted customer service, only to be told that the shoes were out of stock and that my order would simply be cancelled. To be clear, my frustration is not about the cancellation itself. I understand that inventory issues happen. My frustration is with the repeated delays and assurances that led me to believe my order would eventually be fulfilled. Had I been given accurate information earlier, I could have made other arrangements and purchased the shoes elsewhere. What made the situation even more frustrating was that customer service was of very little help, and despite specifically asking to speak with a customer service manager, I was not given the opportunity to speak with one. As a VIP member and loyal customer, I expected better communication and ownership of the issue. I would have much rather been told upfront that the order could not be fulfilled than be given repeated expected dates and assurances, only to end up with a cancelled order and no shoes after waiting for more than a month. I hope Road Runner Sports takes a closer look at how it handles backordered online purchases and customer-service escalations. This experience has left me very disappointed with the online sales operation, even though this review is not a reflection of their retail stores or in-store staff.

Looking around for an employee for a few minutes I grabbed the shoe and went to the counter. I was met by several different people mid way back of the store asking if I needed this shoe. I don't see why all employees are in the back of the store when the majority of people are in the front? I requested my shoe from a friendly associate she went to get the shoes. About 10 minutes later she came out of the back with a Nike in her hand and she saw me and said she'd go back and get the shoe. Okay, but why. I got the shoes. I went to the register and had already realized the $10 price difference in the shoes online retailer Uggs.com, and Macy's which were $10 less then Footlocker. Since it's the Holiday season and I was in a hurry I didn't want to walk all the way through the mall to Macy's. I figured Footlocker would be competitively priced, nope. Also, at the register I asked if they price matched and the person checking me out was polite and said they'd have to get a manager to find out. I didn't want to cause a scene as being a troubling customer so I told them to disregard that. I believe it could have been possibe for this Footlocker to get five stars. However, I notice many bad reviews and unfortunately I had to ad another. Hope to see a better Footlocker soon.

I love coming in to see what I may find today. You just never know when you may find some incredible bargain. But the customer service is unfortunately lacking. The individuals at the register are often rude and lack the basics of customer service. They also got rid of their scanning systems, which makes it less convenient and harder, as you have to wait in line at the changing room to get pricing.

Very disappointed with my experience at Nordstrom Rack…read more I purchased a shirt for my daughter just two days ago, and when she tried it on at home, it didn't fit and was also extremely see-through. I went back to the store hoping to either return it or at least exchange it for something that would work. The cashier was actually very nice and tried to be helpful. She asked her manager about the return, but unfortunately, the manager was very blunt and came across as rude when explaining that because it was Labor Day weekend, they were not accepting returns for red tags. I understand that stores have policies, but not allowing a return or even an exchange on an item purchased just two days earlier because of a holiday-weekend policy doesn't make much sense to me. I would have appreciated a little more understanding and better customer service from management. I have always associated the Nordstrom name with good customer service, so this experience was especially disappointing. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to this Nordstrom Rack.

I bought Jordan 4 black canvas in July and I found out they actually cost $210 (retail cost) alone…read more At the time the seller told me he would sell the shoes for $450 but they charged me around $568 however the receipt doesn't tell me what the extra charge was. Didn't say if it was taxes or shipping. They told me the estimated time for arrival was supposed to be a week but even after two weeks nothing arrived. We texted the seller as well as called and he never picked up until we tried from a different phone number in which the seller told us that it was ready for pick up, but by this point we just wanted a refund. We sent a claim to the bank and when the bank tried to investigate the store told the bank that the shoes were picked up in store during purchase but that's not true. So we called the seller again and he said that the shoes were in store and sitting in the stock room with no name or information of the client. I know that in Macys if the merchandise is not picked up within two months that the employees can keep whatever was bought. That might be the case here as well. This is after two months as well. I decided I'll just go to the store and pick them up despite the fact that the store is 3 hours away. When I asked why there was extra chargers they told me it was due to taxes but the taxes said 0 then they back tracked saying it was shipping except they never did ship it or refund the shipping cost. They never were able to explain why the extra charges were made. The manager ended up calling the original seller who apparently had told me that the shipping cost was because they shipped the shoes from their LA store to the Walnut Creek store and that it would cost me more which is ridiculous considering the library doesn't even charge for that. They didn't tell me that I would be charged for between stores. The cherry on top is that the shoes are creased, and I was charged an extra $118. An extra 118??? Despite being so inconvenienced by the situation?? Don't buy from them, they are poorly managed, very unprofessional and a scam. This has caused me so much stress, and it was supposed to be a happy occasion as it is a gift for my son. This has also caused him stress since he knows about the whole situation.
