My husband used to come here to buy work shoes that are well made, lasts a long time and very comfortable. The shoes are pricey but worth the cost. Since he's now retired, he was using it to take care of the yard work. We did take it to a shoe repair once but it didn't last long so we came back here for a replacement. According to our receipt, Walter was our salesperson who was pleasant, knowledgeable and very helpful. He first asked my husband to step on the footscan to find out the shoe size. They have a wide variety of shoes so we informed Walter exactly what we were looking for and he directed us to that section. There wasn't much to choose from so my husband chose the shoes he wanted. It was a good thing he brought out 2 different sizes for my husband to compare which one felt better to make it easier to decide. Props to Walter! This place is located in the Waimalu Plaza, left side of Safeway. There's a lot of parking so it's very convenient. read more

Checking in after My last experience left me quite angry and disappointed in the brand as a whole. I visited the waimalu location this evening and I received great service by the gentleman he assisted me in purchasing a pair of boots and even gave me a complementary foot scan which dynamically scanned for best sizing and special orthopedic inserts. I was impressed with the service I received and I really do enjoy the red wings brand. I'm really glad this location improved their service. read more

I've been buying red wing boots for years and I rarely need replacement shoelaces but when I do the Red Wing Aiea gives me a set for free. Unfortunately I was charged for them today and I wasn't explained why until after the fact. The customer service continually has gone down at this location. The decision to charge me for shoelaces rather than taking care of a loyal customer because I didn't have my boots with me to prove that I've been a customer. I could tell from his body language from the start that this gentleman wasn't in the helping mood. Small action matter. read more

Red Wing - Showroom - Shoe Stores Near Me - Aiea, Hawaii

Bad customer service, when going into the store, the employees doesn't say good afternoon or eye contact, lack of service,

Customer service is really terrible. I'm a female and I walked in, no greeting or acknowledgment from the two workers behind the counter. I was looking for a Christmas gift for my brother who is in construction. I'm in the store for a little then another customer walks in (male). Immediately the sales clerk tells him "welcome". Then the clerk walks up to the him and ask him if he needed any help. Now, I am beginning to think I'm invisible. I'm in disbelief at their poor customer service that I turn and leave. Sitting in my car in the parking lot, I call the store. I ask for a manager and the guy who answered said he was the manager. His name is John. I told him what happened and he said he doesn't know who was working at the counter, but it wasn't him. I gave him a chance to redeem himself/store by explaining that I was thinking of yelping my experience and he didn't have anything to say. So....here I am giving my review. I would not recommend this place and I will tell my brother my experience. Very disappointed that what I was excited to buy (a Christmas gift) had completely changed my mood. read more

Red Wing - These are the two store clerks that I mentioned in my review - Shoe Stores Near Me - Aiea, Hawaii

I bought a shoe from these guys and the second day of wearing them, the right shoe was giving me pain in my ankle that started to feel like a sprain. I had to go home early from work due to not being able to bear the pain anymore. I went to return it and the manager kinda gave me a bogus remark on saying the next time I return any shoes it has to be brand new. How are supposed to return a shoe that's defective in brand new condition????? Second, there was some procrastination in the return process (I believe it was an attempt to not get the shoe refunded or to get me to buy a new one), but I was able to get my money back. Third, after further investigating what size and the symbols it said on the box. It was not a wide size shoe, and I believe they gave me the wrong size shoe too. I will not be returning here anymore due to this experience. They do not get their shoe sizes right and now I had to experience this pain in my right ankle due to them giving me the wrong size to begin with. read more

I went there this morning, their website said they open at 9:30am but their door sign says 10am. When it was time to open the clerk unlock the door and didn't say a word. Not a greeting of good morning or a please come in, nothing. I got what I needed but with bland reception of wanting to purchase the boots. So shoes great, service.. meh! Killed some time at Safeway deli. Yum! read more

My husband goes through work boots FAST. His line of work and huge feet don't help but ware his shoes down even faster. He has tried A LOT of brands and after a recommendation from a fellow coworker we decided to try this place. There were maybe 2 other customers in the shop and a few associates. No one greeted us or asked us if we needed help. We had to wait and flag someone down just to try out a pair of shoes. Of course they didn't have his size in some of the shoes that he liked, but he finally found a pair that worked for him. I was disappointed in the level of customer service offered here. When buying a $300 pair of shoes you'd expect some kind of interaction, along with some level of info or opinion about what you're getting--like, "this is a popular pair because it's waterproof and durable," etc. I mean you can read about the shoe but it's nice to have a knowledgeable associate--it's part of their job to know about the items they are selling. You would also think that they may want to develop some sort of relationship since work boots don't last forever and we'd be back to buy another pair in the future. The person that helped us said practically nothing, except the price at the end of our transaction. $300 later those shoes lasted my husband 2 months before they began falling apart. Now we buy work boots online, I'd much rather support local companies but after this experience it's easier to just spend the money on line and read about the pros and cons of each shoe ourself. read more

If I could give them a 0 I would not ever recommend this store in Aiea. First they stereotype what you look like and If you have money. My husband encountered horrible employee name Chris that thought that they were going to steal. Refused to let them hold the box to try on the shoes while one guy witness the whole thing. I ask for management and he refused and told me he was calling the cops on me mind you we didn't steal or attempt to steal any shoes. My husband was there to buy my nephew a new pair of shoes. Shows what type of horrible sales people you have working there. This is not the first and won't be the last something like this happened. read more

The shoes they have are pretty decent. Problem is that they do not have all sizes in stock due to supply chain issues. I was lucky to get my work shoe in my size. One of my co workers couldn't find his size in in two different styles. read more

Great friendly customer service, a very knowledgeable staff that will guide you through their vast selection of tough and fashionable shoes for those demanding jobs like mine. I opted to have the "Tuff Toe" protection and repair polyurethane adhesive applied on my brand new shoes for additional long-term protection. I will comment on my Red Wing Shoes and the reliability of the "Tuff Toe" after I have worn them at work on the flight line and put them through the test! Love the lace less turn buckle adjustment on the OXFORD's I now own. Looking forward to their new location off the Nimitz Highway next month! read more

Warning!! Customer service SUCKS here! You come here to buy shoes that you are required to wear by your company and need ASSISTANCE. Reps here act like you should KNOW what it is you need and basically have an ATTITUDE problem showing they are irritated with your lack of knowledge! Overheard another female rep having the same bad attitude with another customer. Leave!!! Update: Go to Work Shoes Hawaii on Waiakamilo Rd! EXCELLENT customer service there! They are experts in finding the perfect shoe for you and went overboard in helping us! We are very pleased!!!! read more

1 star was the lowest I could give. Their supply chain problems have been persistent for over a year now. Never have any sizes for pull on or laces. The only sizes they had 3 days in a row right at opening were 8 and 14's. The associates don't engage with helping and are pretty lethargic with answering your questions. I needed 10 1/2's and he said I don't have but I can give you 14's... yes so glad you offered 3 1/2 sizes bigger just what I was looking for. They don't know when they receive shipments. Frustrating when most of the island comes to you with vouchers from employers and you can't provide them with adequate sizes and variety of styles. read more

Came here to use my boot voucher. The store was pretty empty so the staff members working was really quick and friendly. There's a lot of quality boots here, but really expensive. I'm not really a boot kinda guy so I really don't know what the big difference is. There were only a few boots that I was able to purchase that wasn't too much more than my $100 boot voucher lol. They're located in the Waimalu Shopping Plaza so there's a lot of parking. read more

They offer a discount to certain workers. I was told they offer discount to DOE workers, so I brought my mom with me to get the discount. Apparently the discount is only for the person qualified for the discount (ex. Although my mom would be paying for the shoes, in order for the discount to be applied, the shoes are supposed to be for her, not me.), but that's not what I was told by numerous people. There was some confusion on it, but it was resolved quickly. Prices are high, but their shoes are really good and comfortable. There are many styles to choose from depending on what your uses are, and most come in 2 different colors. Their service is great. It was my first time purchasing from them, so they offered to check my size since their shoes may run bigger. After I found my size and shoe I wanted to try, the associate prepped the shoes, put it on my feet, and tied it for me. He described how it should feel on my feet and the features that they posses. Awesome service. I'm really satisfied with the shoes I purchased, but since now I learned I won't be able to receive a deal, I'll probably shop elsewhere. But, that doesn't mean you shouldn't either. Good products, good service, overall good experience. read more

Customer service sucks here!! You walk in and they literally just stare at you. None of the workers will greet you when you walk in. NOTHING. Not a HI, HOW ARE YOU, GO FUCK YOURSELF. NOTHING. Oh and forget asking THEM to call the other locations to check on a shoe size or availability. It's an inconvenience for them to do their job basically. Sad place to shop at. read more

I talked with Aina on the phone. Very courteous and professional. Aina also never rushed me and answered all my questions. When I got to the store, Chris was behind the counter and acknowledged me upon entering the store. I went in to check in wool socks and arch supports. He fitted me on the special equipment and recommended two arch supports. Explained to me how the arch supports would fit my feet better when they're heated by my feet. Also explained that I have a 30 day return option if I wasn't satisfied with the arch supports. I used the ValPak coupon "buy 2 get 1 free". HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! read more

My fiancé is in the construction industry and always goes through shoes quickly! I love their store very clean and family friendly. The sales person didn't really help us and she was in the back when we walked in. We just looked around and helped ourselves last night until we found something we liked. The sales girl stayed on her phone behind the counter for a good 10 minutes. Another customer came in and she didn't really help him either just got him the size that he needed when he needed it. If your gonna spend $200+ on shoes I would think that your service would match that price as well right? All in all we just went in and bought some shoes, gave them our money and walked out. 4 stars is for their shoe quality! They are amazing on his feet and last longer than Walmart brands. read more

Great selection of work shoes for my electrician beau. They have this great device that measures your feet and sees where you put most pressure. Pretty nifty! It also measures how wide your feet and the determined size that would be the most appropriate fit- but you should still try others just in case another size is most comfortable for you. Good service. They give discounts based on where you work and you can find discounts on their website to bring in store. Clean and organized. Friendly staff. read more

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. They made my first time purchasing a pair of Red Wing shoes easy. I walked in and I was asked right away if I needed help. I was able to choose from their selection with ease because they gave me a breakdown of the shoe types and arrangement. I got to measure my feet and a digital screen brought up a scan of shoes that would best fit my feet. I was impressed by the service. It made me comfortable to buy shoes that are on the expensive end. If your size is not in this store they can check the Nimitz location. Also, they have a list of required shoes for certain companies. Overall, my experience was good and I'll be back again. read more

Red Wing - Measure my feet to find my size and best fit shoe - Shoe Stores Near Me - Aiea, Hawaii

Do not buy from this store! I'm not saying not to buy Red Wings shoes, they are great shoes! Just don't buy from this particular store. The pony tailed sales guy is a douche. Doesn't know jack about the shoes, tells me to read the tag. Just points to the shelf, says look over there. Rolls his eyes when I ask about a clearance item. Makes faces if he is forced to move from leaning on the counter. I would've bought a full priced shoe had he been an attentive sales person, guess I'll just buy online. This is the reason brick and mortar stores close down! read more

Tell me why I needed to fight the sales person just because my boyfriend wanted to exchange a size up ? He puts insoles and wears thick socks so he wanted to size up since his feet also swell from standing for 8 hours and they kept insisting on giving us what he measured to be. I understand the leather stretches but my boyfriend's feet were in so much pain. They already have my money, so just give me what I asked for. Last time I checked, my boyfriend's feet belonged to him, so I think he knows what's best for him. In the long run if they do stretch too big then that's on us but at least have the proper customer service to ensure we return for more shoes one day instead of giving us attitude and talking to us like we're stupid. Looks like no one likes their workers. read more

They definitely need better customer service. As a first time customer, I would never come back to this store. Although the guy knows everything about the shoes, he makes you feel like an idiot for asking questions. There was a girl in the store but she didn't help, which was surprising since there were four customers in the store. I would attribute his shortness to the amount of customers, but no one was rushing him or being impatient. You would think when you are spending $200+ they would at least seem like your not bothering them. Overall bad experience, if I like the boots and want to purchase a new pair I would seek out a new store or order online. read more

Worst customer service and quality boot in the market. Twice I've purchased a slip on boot and the padding on the heel on lasts 4 months tops. A $150 boot that's only wearable for 4 months and they claim wear and tear with no warranty. Terrible‼ That means they don't stand behind their product. I wouldn't recommend their products to anyone. I also called corporate, and they only give you the run around claiming wear and tear. Again, four months of wearing the $150 boots and now it's going in the trash. What a waste of money. read more

First time buying shoes from red wing due to my boyfriend getting a job that requires steel toe shoes. (I'm not familiar with how to buy these types of shoes) Walked in the store and there were 2 associates working, a man and a lady. There were about 3 men looking around for shoes when I walked in the store. I didn't get a "welcome, hello..." NOTHING! Right off the back bad customer service! The associates looked right at me and turned their back. They probably was thinking a women coming into the store with a child, she don't know what she's doing so we won't help her..(just my thoughts). My boyfriend just so happened texted me a few pairs of shoes he was looking for. I stood by the register for about 10 minutes until someone came to help me! I asked if they had that particular shoe in stock, the man told me no. So I asked for the next shoe and he said yes... Pointing to where it was, not actually taking me to the shoe! So I walked over to where he pointed and looked for the one in the picture I had. I brought it over to the cashier and waited a while until someone came again to help me! The man finally went in the back to see if they had a size I needed, he came back and said the display is the last one. I asked questions about the shoe and he was very limited in his answers, like I was bothering him! So I stood in line and the man in front of me purchasing a shoe for the same company my bf works for was offered discounts without even asking for it. So when I went up to pay for this shoe, she didn't even ask what company I was buying it for or offered any type of discount. So I asked, is there any discounts you guys offer? She hesitated and said only for military, union, etc. so I said my bf works for those places so she said well he has to come in with his ID. It was like she didn't like her job and was just trying to get me out of there. Or I don't know if she was treating me like that because I am a women! After purchasing the shoe for about $250, I didn't get no thank you, have a good day! NOTHING!!!!! I walked out and not even a good bye.. Really horrible service! Over all I will not be coming back to this location, I will find another location to buy steel toe shoes from. These associates need classes on customer service! They need to learn how to treat people equally, whether your a women or man.. read more

So I'm lucky enough to have been gifted an incredible pair of boots from these wonderful folks and I've been more then enthused with how great they are. I've been in the store several times and Have always been helped to my satisfaction. It's now nearly 2 years later and I am still using them. They've been up Pillbox in Kailua, to Makapuu, Kokohead, all over Oahu, Kauai, Maui, Big Island, in my wedding, LAX, Houston International, Miami International, Colombia, Philly, New Jersey, New York City, White Plains, through dirt, sand, mud and snow. And, they are on my feet right now keeping me warm in these below freezing temperatures. Been wearing redwing for about 6 yrs now.a quality shoe for sure, the boot lasts longer than the sole, and that's a good thing. Prices have gone up some, but what hasn't, couple hundred bucks for a quality pair of sh oes,you get what you pay for. They have a 30 day guarantee.if after this period you are not satisfied you return the shoes with receipt. I also tried other brands, but none can compare. read more

Great shoes, great service! I love my three pairs of boots I've purchased over the last 6 years with Red Wing. All sales associates working there are wonderful and very informative. I have noticed that they do get quite busy, so it's best to have a little patience for the sales guy helping 5 customers simultaneously. It also doesn't hurt to treat the sales people with respect. I noticed a lot of their customers talk down/use profane language (even when children are present!)/verbally harass/yell at the sales team. I think many of the "bad" experiences people have there are probably a result of their own doing. Their warranty is a God send - It's a one year warranty against manufacturing defects ONLY, which is pretty reasonable if you ask me. I purchased a pair of USA-made boots that had a problem with the sole separating. After showing them the boots, they replaced it without hesitation. Eleanor, the store manager, is very professional and accommodating to her customers. read more

No stars. Every year I come here with my company discount. Never get greeted when I come in and for the for the first time in 6 years they questioned my employment and made me feel like I was lying.
