I visited this store last week to get a new walking shoes. I was approached by a friendly salesperson. She helped me find the right shoes for my feet after asking me few question. She recommended couple brands and after trying them. I picked Hoka. They are so comfortable. I used my new shoes last Saturday and today to go walking and it was like walking on clouds. I'm definitely going to come back and buy one more shoes to use daily.

This is a small shoe store that meets my needs of specific running shoes in various width. I have a particular width size that most shoe stores don't offer and Runner's Route has it. They also sell all the necessities you'll need for a short or long run such as compression socks, snacks (gels), etc. They offer a 15% Military discount. Overall, if you're looking for running shoes, check out Runner's Route.

Retired my last pair of running shoes I bought here and grabbed some new ones, plus some awesome new sunglasses. The sunglasses are $40, polarized, lightweight, have non-slip nose bridge and ear loops when sweaty. Originally I had gone in last Thursday and bought another pair of shoes but after I went home I put them on again with different socks and they just didn't feel right. Fortunately, this business has an easy exchange policy if you don't wear the shoes outside you have 2 weeks I believe to exchange them with a receipt. So I went back Sunday and got a pair I loved for the same price. They had at least 3 people working on a Sunday in the small shop and very friendly and helpful.

Stopped by Runners Route after a doctor's appointment. There was only one other customer in the shop, and she had already decided which shoes she was going to purchase. I was looking for a pair of Brooks Adrenaline shoes to replace the 2020 version that I have been wearing. I've been to this shop at least twice before, and the owner has always been friendly and helpful. I tried on the 2022 version of the Brooks Adrenaline and a Mizuno shoe that the owner recommended. They are both very good shoes and were the same price. I decided to go with the Brooks shoes since I've been wearing Brooks recently. I paid for the shoes and the owner walked me to the front door and opened the door for me and told me thank you and to please come back again. Awesome customer service! I'm actually thinking of going back and pick up the other pair of Mizuno shoes :)

Decided to visit here since I had a couple of referrals. Owner Tomo was very helpful in measuring my feet and recommending some great pairs of shoes. I tried 2 pairs of ASICS, 1 pair New Balance, I pair Mizumi, but finally decided on NIKE Pegasus 36! Super comfy and lightweight! On Sale for $119. Done! Mahalo Tomo for great service!

Recommendation for back pain and knee discomforts was change of everyday shoe wear. Hoka's - New Balance. As we entered, we were greeted with professionally and friendly welcome by Tobo. So very helpful and knowledgable of all the variety types of shoes they carry. Fell in love with the first *NB* tried two different ones and couldn't bear the first one he picked. Then had to get another and same however the second choice was way better and guess it right *NB*. I included some awesome soles that will mold into the shape of my feet for more arch and comfort. Then should me a smart shoe tie to support my ankle which made a huge difference! Can't Thank Tobo enough to for his time and patience especially with me. Go check them out for all the newest and on sale shoes for all types! Comfort your feet with great shoes at the Running Route! Mahalo again Tobo!

I always knew there was a running shoe store in the Waimalu Shopping Center, little did I know it was a Runners Route. This is the same company as the Runners Route in Kapiolani. I'm glad that it is the same, there are few options on the leeward side. Store closes at 7p. My first impression upon entering the store was - wow most of the shoes were marked down. This baffled me because I saw new shoe models significantly lower than other shops. For example, Asics were lower here than at the Asics shops in Waikele and International Marketplace. Prior to coming here I knew exactly what I wanted to get - Brooks Adrenaline GTS 18. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. She provided options to compare against the Brooks I was looking at. She even offered to bring over the all black model of the Brooks. Before paying for the shoes I noticed they had my exact size and width of the Kayano 25s. And guess what, they were on sale! OMG it was meant to be! I tried them on before making my final decision and purchase. I went in at 6p, and left right before closing at 640. I'm glad I got to try all those shoes before pulling the trigger! This is hands down one of the best purchases I have made - on shoes! BTW I'm a sneakerhead, so I might know a little about shoes. Here's a tip, shoes might be the best investment if you're on your feet most of the day. No need to buy into the hype for those fancy Nikes or even Adidas. Too bad I can only rate 5 stars! I'll give this place a 10 if I could! Tell your momma and friends to come here first for all of your running shoe needs!

I think the Hokas felt different after coming home because I wore the store's compression socks while trying on shoes.

I will preface this by stating that I am what you would call a sneakerhead. I have an extensive…read morelibrary of shoes in my collection, so I normally would NEVER go to Champs! But today was special. My family and I decided to try to ride the rail from Kapolei to Pearl Ridge. On the way, the bottom of my shoe literally fell right off! So needless to say, I walked well over a mile in a pair of shoes where one side didn't have the entire bottom (sole). As a last resort we went to Champs because even with their state in the recent years (they've seemed more like an outlet store than an actual retailer trying to compete with regular stores), we've managed to find some decent, if not downright fantastic deals. So my family and I walk in (still with the same shoe situation going on with my feet that I explained earlier) hoping that I can buy something... ANYTHING that will remedy the current dilemma. I walk in past 3 employees who are in conversation, without as much as a hello. When I worked at Foot Locker, there were a few rules we lived by. The first of which: GREET EVERYONE! So fail on that, but it is what it is. I'm more concerned about finding some joints to put on my dogs because I'm tired of limping for the day! So I walk to the wall and check out the selection and prices. Selection: fair to poor which is par for the course with Champs. Prices: some good and some decent but either way, I'm ready to spend some money. After waiting and not seeming to have attracted any attention, I ask one of the female workers if they might have anything in a size 14 or 15 (I'm actually a 15, but as such I know that there's little chance they'd have that. It was that dire that I was willing to buy a 14 just to get my feet into something respectable!). She mentioned they don't have much. She continues that they used to have a specific section for large sizes but it no longer exists. She then looks around and asks a coworker for affirmation. I didn't need it, but it's fine. She sought it and got it. Cool. I'm still without shoes! So I tell her, I really just need a pair of shoes and I'm pretty desperate. She just said well.. it'd be easier if you tell me which you might want. So I said, I do Jordan and Nike. Any of those. She then goes to another guest who's looking for a size 10.5 in a green and white AF1. She goes to the back, comes back and asks the wrong person if the size was 10.5. Luckily I saw the whole interaction so I pointed her in the right direction. As I wait, I saw the Jordan Luka shoe. It was cool looking and something I might actually hoop in. So from hoping to spend $30 or less, I was talking myself in to a $120 shoe. Long story short, she never came back and I ended up walking to Vans and buying a pair there. Here's the moral of the story. I get it Champs, the future of this store is uncertain. But even if the inventory they give you makes it look and feel like a graveyard of urban hopes and dreams, it's the people who make more glamorous then it really is. Customer service is THAT HUGE! So, though I'll never go in there ever again, nor will I ever suggest that anyone else does, people still will. And maybe, just maybe the people working there should treat everyone as an important potential sale. Because you never know when a $30 spend, can turn to $100+ or more. And you definitely don't want to be the reason it doesn't. Much like this time.

We came here just yesterday to look for running shoes for my 9yr old son who'll be starting track…read more Coming straight from Kids Footlocker ( terrible customer service, none at all ) this place was like a breath of fresh air! We were politely greeted soon as we entered, asked if we had a specific need then assisted us through our entire purchase WITHOUT any pressure. My son was very picky on what felt and looked best ( even tho it was for track and will get dirty anyway), but the guys there were super patient and helpful. Awesome customer service, and like I said very refreshing. Also good amount of products on sale. Truly 5 stars.

If you're a long time bowler (30+yrs) do you remember the place in Kalihi that you would drive up…read morethe steep ramp to get your bowling needs taken care of? Well it's not there anymore. It moved in 1991 to Pearl City. Not just Pearl City but Pearl City Industrial Park, which is past Pearl City. When you drive up you'll probably miss it, especially if you go now since they are doing major road construction to install some crazy stuff under the roads. The building itself is a warehouse and doesn't look like much but don't let the outside deter you because once inside you will find the largest selection of bowling balls, bags, shoes, and accessories that didn't even exist 30 years ago, plus cue/billiard supplies.
