Was in Mesa for work and we looked up places to eat and asked folks around what they'd recommend for happy hour and to accommodate a larger group. We found and heard of Red, White, and Brew for happy hour/early dinner. We called ahead to reserve for a group of about 15 and they got us an area to sit outside, they were really good at taking out orders and rounds of drinks. I got the marinated steak salad, and one of my other coworkers got the fish special with vegetables. They have a full bar and they even got us dessert and sang happy birthday for the December birthdays we were celebrating. We have been going to Red White and Brew for a few years now and have not yet had anything but exceptional service. Friendly staff and clean restaurant. Always pleasantly greatedby the management. The kitchen is always coming up with new daily specials that never cease to amaze. Their New York style decked baked pizzas are amazing along with the many fine dishes they offer including steaks and seafood. There is pretty much everything you could want from an American cuisine here at RWB. Featuring a fantastic bar offering many cocktails, wines and craft beer. The desert is always house made or brought in by an Artisan bakery. Here is an example of a desert we had on New Year's Eve below made by Kay Aguilar. The bread was good but the rest of the food was subpar. Not a good value, not good ambiance.

It's hard to leave a good review when the best part of the meal was the side salad and bread sticks. I had the pecan crusted Burbon salmon, it was mediocre salmon that was doused in a sugary sauce with pecans. Quite a far cry from a "crusted" piece of salmon. The ravioli with it was tasty other than drowning it in the honey mustard sauce. Stopped in for dinner on Friday night. The place was packed. The restaurant was clean. A little stale from an atmosphere perspective though. It could use an update, I felt like it probably has been a good 10 years since they freshened up the decor We waited about 25 minutes for a table. The hostess took us directly to a table. Probably the worst seat in the restaurant. Now, I am not one to question seating by host staff. But a pro tip for the restaurant would be to ask the customer if they have a seating preference, would you like a table or a booth? There were booths available when we got seated. Nope. She just automatically put us at the table right by the front door and behind the hostess station. Ali did a nice job waiting on us. The food came out in the appropriate time frame. It was fresh and hot. The chicken sandwich was tender and juicy. My chicken was tender and juicy also. I will say the fries they served with the sandwich were pathetic. I have never seen so many bits and pieces of French Fries on a plate. Over half of the fries were an inch and a half or under. Bits and pieces. Gluten free and dairy light eater. I read the reviews of this place and was excited to come. It was a warm day outside but the misters and shade made sitting outside pleasant. They were busy! I'm going to guess this is a great local joint. Has those vibes. I got a chicken cobb salad with blue cheese (so much for my dairy light, I have a soft spot for cheese). This salad was huge!! Probably was at least a couple meals. But I took my chances and ate most of it. A sliced chicken breast was on top. It's hard to cut them when they are so large. But not an issue. The food was average. The flavors didn't blow me away but it was solid food. I didn't like the avocado. It wasn't fresh. My husband got a portobello burger. The mushroom felt a bit undercooked and under seasoned. The aioli was good but didn't add enough flavor to make the mushroom any better. It was average but nothing exciting. Our wait staff was helpful and quick to get us drinks. We didn't feel rushed at all. Overall if we were in the area we would return, but we may not seek out this place. read more

I went with our Wednesday night girls group and everyone was very happy with our food my portobello burger was delicious, I also had the Italian meatball soup witch was also yummy with the breadsticks. Surprised I never reviewed this place... I've been to this place on and off since they first opened. When they were brand new food was great and service was great... As time went on the quality of food went down and I stop going for years after I ordered the special porterhouse steak and I got a think fatty steak that you would get from Denny's... I complained to manager at that time as I was leaving since manager never came to my table after I sent the steak back. Few other times I went service was so horrible I never went back... I did order pizza for pick up few times... Their pizza is pretty good. So we decided to give it another try and service wad great but overall food was very disappointing. Ordered Wisconsin cheese curd which wasn't bad. Main dish I ordered spicy jamabalay which to me it was too salty and not spicy at all. Also ordered special dish Halibut with crusted pine nuts.. This spot is one of my favorite places in east Mesa. It truly is a gem. The specials are always fresh and seasonal and selection is always changing. We have dined here many times and have brought friends and family without disappointment. I am not sure that we have ever ordered anything that we didn't like. We love the fresh bread that is served prior to your meal and you can smell it baking as you enter the restaurant. One of my favorite comfort foods is a good French onion soup and theirs is perfect to satisfy my craving without having to enter a chain steakhouse joint. The pesto chicken cheese tortellini is delicious and a big enough portion for two. If there is any chance of a dessert treat don't sleep on the warm peach cobbler. Next time I'll try to remember to grab fresh pictures but we usually dig in so quickly there's no time for photos! read more

Excellent food! Great staff! Our waiter Travis went above and beyond to make our experience fabulous. We were celebrating my friend's birthday. The coconut shrimp was delish while the pineapple jalapeño dip was good I prefer cocktail sauce. Their meals are huge. The Cajun salad was yummy! Their pasta dishes are too. The first time went there I had the complimentary garlic rolls they didn't impress me but this time they were so fresh and wonderful. I may have indulged a little too much as it's the only time I eat bread is at a restaurant. I Hope next time we go Travis is there. Excellent food! They gave us these delicious bread rolls that were warm buttery and had olive oil and cheese while we were waiting for our food. It was a group of 5 of us so the complimentary rolls went quickly. They gave us 3 plates of refills! Unfortunately they don't do beer flights but it's all good I had a Scottsdale blonde and their rotating cider they just got in. I'm a sucker for ciders and theirs was delicious. For my entree I got the meatball pizza roll which was definitely enough to share. I was actually really full from the complimentary bread rolls so I couldn't eat that much of my entree. Started with some clam chowder which had large pieces of fish and was nice and hot. The Arizona sunrise drink was extremely sweet and couldn't be mixed so every few sips was a new flavor. The cosmo was tart and strong. The ahi tuna seemed a bit over cooked but the sauce was delicious. The ravioli was a unique flavor with a mustardy sauce, pumpkin flavor, and uncooked spinach. This is one of the places we like to frequent on this side of town. Today we had a party of eight. We were place on the call ahead list an hour before our arrival. We then waited about 25 minutes to be seated. We started with cheese curds and I had an onion soup. From what the group said the cheese curds were good but they didn't particularly care for the sauce that came with them. My soup was flavorful but definitely not hot. It was warm at best even though the crock was hot and the cheese melted. Most at the table got a pizza or Stromboli. They pizza was packed with toppings the Chicago pizza seemed to be a favorite. The stools were huge with marinara said on the side. I have the chicken Marsala it was delicious. The mashed potatoes were smooth with enough texture to know they were real potatoes. After reading all the positive reviews and looking at the menu, we decided to come here for a belated Valentine's dinner with another couple on the following Wednesday. They don't take reservations, but we thought a 5 pm weekday dinner would not be so busy, but it was packed! The place is a lot smaller than I expected and there are only 6 seats in the waiting area so we stood in the very narrow hallway between the dining area and the bar. We waited 50 minutes before we were seated. While waiting for our table, I ordered a martini on the rocks from the bartender, but at the last minute, I noticed he was shaking it with ice and pouring it into a martini cocktail glass. When I reminded him that I had ordered it on the rocks. he tried to add ice cubes but I stopped him and said I would take it as he made it. There was no apology and he looked pissed off. Once seated, our server brought us a bread basket with buttered garlic rolls that were delicious. I ordered the Seafood Scampi w/Linguine (jumbo shrimp, clams, mussels, and scallops) in a garlic butter sauce and my wife had the NY Strip. The serving portions were huge, but my seafood was dry, the linguine was overcooked, and the green mussels tasted swampy! I would not order this dish again. My wife's steak was tough and tasteless. Our server didn't check on us or we would have sent back our dishes. The best part of the dinner was the included side salads that were ice cold and fresh with delicious blue cheese and French dressings. The place was packed, the wait was 45 minutes to an hour, and people were sticking around, so we figured it would be great. It was beyond great! We sat inside as we waited and had wonderful conversations with other guests. It was wonderful to have those with no masks on! Once seated, we both ordered a drink with blueberries in it, super tasty! Fresh warm garlic bread was served as well, that tasted divine! My husband had a Chicken Parmesan Calzone, he says it was AWESOME, but still had to bring half of it home, it was so big!! I ordered Pesto Chicken over Tortellini, let me tell you, that plate was so full, I knew it would last three meals right away! I almost got full on the side salad; it was very nice sized as well. All the flavors meshed incredibly well, and the pasta was perfectly cooked. The server gave me grated asiago cheese over the top, I felt like I was eating a gourmet meal!
