Meatball parm

This small little place is big on flavor. Good selection of pizza by the slice for those people that need to get in and get out. Great crust on the grandma's pie, soft and doughy on the Sicilian, and good crust on the regular slices. Lots of other sandwiches and fried goodies.

Called ahead to pick up a large pie for dinner. Half plain. Half sausage. This was my first visit to Red Star Pizza 3, and my impression was that it was attractive inside, with room to sit for dinner, and had a friendly efficient staff. The pizza was ready when I arrived, and I was back on the road in under five minutes. Opening the box in my kitchen, it looked good and had a nice aroma. Pizza is always best eaten straight from the oven, and this one confirmed that axiom. Both slices had the right combo of sauce and cheese, but having cooled for a while, the crust was now weak and could not hold the topside weight. Still, the taste was there. The sausage crumble was strong. We had a decent dinner from Red Star, and will get back there to mange in house as soon as possible.

Wrong Toppings and they're rude!

I Love pizza so when I was in town from LA visiting my family I placed an order for delivery for 2 pizzas the day of my flight. I ordered one plain and the other plain with half pepperoni and mushroom. The girl who took my order said ok it will be there in 40 minutes. My mom received the delivery, but when I opened the box they gave me the wrong toppings. Instead of mushroom and pepperoni they brought us sausage and pepperoni which was totally wrong. So, I called them and explained what happened and request a refund since they messed up the order. However, when I spoke to the girl who took my order instead of apologizing for the mistake she proceeded to tell me that I was lying and that I ordered sausage not the mushrooms. I said no, I know what I ordered and this is incorrect. So then she put me on hold and a man came to the phone. I explained again that my order was incorrect and I requested a refund on the pizza he offered to send a new one, but I could not accept that offer because I was about to head to the airport to go back to L.A. And I did not want to be late. So I requested a refund and he said ok. I paid the delivery man in cash so I told him I would stop in to pick up my refund on my way to the airport. I ended up sending my sister bc I was running late. She had a copy of the receipt I sent her and a picture of the pizza with the wrong toppings. She said when she got there they acted like they didn't know what she was talking about and went and got the cook Sal who gave my sister a $2.50 cent refund for the toppings instead of the whole pizza $13.75, which is not what I was told over the phone! I am very disappointed in the lack of customer service and politeness toward myself and my family who have resided in Ewing for over 20 years! The plain pizza I did taste was burnt at the bottom with very tough crust and tasted mediocre at best. Needless to say Red Star Pizza has now lost our business for good and I will spread the word to all of my other friends and family in Ewing of the experience I had here today 6/24/2018!

Our favorite pizza place in Ewing. Sauce & toppings are good quality. Try the pepperoni.

I picked up a ham and cheese hoagie yesterday, one thin slice of ham and a thin slice of cheese with lots of Iceburg lettuce. I think the Wawa down the street will be my place for a sandwich from now on?

We apologize, our hoagie should not look like what you've described. If you decided to come back in we will give you a hoagie on us.

The service was friendly, the interior won't win a beauty contest but then its a pizza joint and I always take out.

I wish I could duplicate the Jersey pizza I grew up on a love but hope springs eternal. From time to time I splurge and make my way to Salernos. It is everything I remember and love about pizza growing up in the area. I also enjoy the warm family atmosphere, quality food and reasonable prices, I've had other pizza in the area, not of my own choice, but I can say with all certainty that Salernos is the better option in the area. Buon appetito!

The decor could use some updating. It was a bit dark, albeit clean. There were too women who appeared to be servers that came over to bring us our menus, which is quite extensive, and take our beverage order. Neither spoke much English, nor understood it very well. One indicated she was new. This place is owned by a husband and wife who are very much Italian. Accent and all. Maria, one of the owners came over to verify our orders since the waitresses were slightly unclear when presenting our orders to the kitchen staff. Our salads that came with the meal were fresh and good. You could also get the soup of the day. Two of us ordered the chicken francaise. One got the veal francaise and the other got a turkey wrap with french fries. Overall, the food was very good. I encountered a slight issue with one of the pieces of chicken. It was still slightly pink on part of it. I let the staff know, and Maria came out and apologized. She had us pick a dessert no charge. My coworker who had the veal said it was slightly tough, but still flavorful. Had my chicken been pounded thin it would've alleviated any under cooking. I digress. When back in the area, I will have to sample their pizza.

It wasn't showing up on my account. I called the restaurant and they were able to find and confirm. I don't know if it's an Open Table glitch. They were so accommodating upon arrival when our party went from 9 people to 7. The staff was amazing and on top of everything. We ordered apps off the dining room menu but they let us order large pizzas instead of the 12" ones. We had calamari and bacon wrapped shrimp. I love that they offer the calamari in both fried and grilled. I was outvoted on the grilled but I have to say that the squid was perfectly cooked. Not chewy or fishy at all. Very tender. The breading was light and not greasy at all. The bacon wrapped shrimp were interesting. The shrimp were huge. They were drenched in BBQ sauce. I thought it was ok but I'm not sure about the flavor combo. We ordered a large plain and a large pepperoni. I thought the plain was delicious. The dough was good and not too much flop. The sauce was a bit sweet, which I like. The only issue is that the cheese and sauce didn't stick to the dough so it slid off while cutting. Overall, I think they did a great job with a large group during weekday lunch.
