Unfortunately, the medium steak came out rare, and the well-done steak was closer to medium. The garlic sauce was only lukewarm, not hot, and both steaks were tougher and fattier than expected. While our waitress was friendly, the overall service felt disorganized and inattentive, with staff seemingly stretched thin and focused on tasks other than guest care. Another group also struggled to get seated, and basic service details--like checking on tables or refilling drinks--were overlooked, leaving us feeling largely ignored throughout the meal. After seeing how undercooked my steak was, I decided I didn't want another one. Instead, I reordered the BBQ burger. Unfortunately, it didn't arrive until my spouse had completely finished eating. The burger itself was just okay, but the frizzled onions were extremely stale, and the bacon was overcooked, with parts of it burnt. To their credit, management removed the Steak Frites from our bill and gave us 50% off the burger, which we appreciated. However, for the prices they charge, the overall quality of the food and service simply didn't justify the cost. They also charge a surcharge on top of that if you use a credit card. Tipping should reflect the quality of service provided, and in this case, the experience did not meet expectations. If you're going to remain open until 9:00 p.m. and later, there should be enough staff and experienced kitchen personnel to provide the same level of service guests would expect earlier in the evening. Overall, this visit fell far short of our previous experiences. We left disappointed and hoping this was just an off night, but based on this experience, it's difficult to recommend.

Especially the cooper sharp cheese sauce. $8 happy hour price, normally $10. Truffle Shuffle Pizza EVOO, mozzarella, mushroom, truffle honey, rosemary. The best of the three pizzas we ordered. Balanced flavors, well-executed, and this pizza truly delivered! Definitely worth the $10 price, otherwise $19 regular price. Boardwalk Pizza with Pepperoni Bianco Di Napoli sauce, mozzarella, fior di latte, parm, oregano. Solid pizza with good flavor and balance. Paid $12 happy hour price, otherwise it is $19. Just Okay: Stuffed Grape Leaves Mediterranean-style dolmas with lemon rice. Fine, nothing memorable. $7 1/2-Pound Smash Burger Two smash-seared patties, Cooper sharp cheese, LTO, umami sauce, toasted brioche bun. Decent burger, but didn't stand out considering the price of $16 Not So Great: Margherita Pizza Bianco Di Napoli sauce, fior di latte, basil, EVOO. Came out burnt (as shown in the photo), which is hard to overlook. Fortunately we only paid $10 (happy hour price) regular price $18 Jumbo Wings Ten pieces served with buttermilk blue cheese, celery, and carrots. These should not be labeled "jumbo" as there isn't anything jumbo about these wings. At $1.50 per wing, they're overpriced and not worth it. Final Thoughts: Gloria Sports and Spirits describes itself as an elevated dining experience, but that mostly seems to translate to elevated prices. I would only recommend ordering from the happy hour menu. The pizzas aren't worth the nearly $20 price tag, and the wings are neither jumbo nor a good value. One final note: root beer is apparently the only soda without unlimited refills. It's $5 per order, which isn't disclosed until the bill arrives. An unpleasant surprise. Overall, for future visits I'll be sticking strictly to the happy hour menu. And that's all I can recommend for anyone else when visiting Gloria Sports and Spirits.
