This place was REALLY good! This was my second time in and first for my mom but we both loved it. The restaurant is nice and the staff was very friendly. The food was delicious and had so much flavor. I had the Texas burrito and my mom had two tacos along with some chips and queso. The queso was nice and thick and the flavor was really good especially with the green salsa The carne asada in the burrito was filled with flavor and everything was FRESH. Not bad pricing for the area and for two of us but it came out to $30 for the app, 2 entrees, and two large drinks. Will definitely be back and definitely worth trying it out. read more

I gave this place two chances with the Texas burrito and both times I was let down. Both times I got my burrito it failed to meet my expectations in quantity. If I'm paying $10 for a burrito you better give me at least as much food as chipotle stuffs their burritos for $7. The Texas burrito (the two times I've had it) was 2/3 the size of one chipotle burrito. The last and final time I tried it they put sliced avocados in my burrito instead of guac. The menu lists the Texas burrito ingredients to include guacamole, however they failed to do that. Consistency is something I want with my burritos and this place isn't it. I haven't tried the tacos, but I'm sure they're not as bad. It can't be too hard to mess up a taco after all with only 3 ingredients. And I realize this place sells itself for their tacos, but still if you're gonna put something on the menu and sell it then do it right. read more

I'm glad I have this place bookmarked for when in need and in the Houston area. The service here was absolutely friendly with no language barriers. THE FIVE TACOS Play consisted of any available protein mixed up in your tacos - fajitas, grilled chicken, Barbacoa, and Carnitas and pork al pastor. These tacos were full of meat, flavor and topped with cilantro. THE TOSTADA was ordered with ground beef and Kain fully packed on a crispy taco flat shell. The rancho beans were absolutely delicious and to my surprise, just like mama back in the day, it had cut up slices of hotdog in it! The atmosphere is pretty meh, sterile with mounted TVs playing news or whatever, so I would suggest this as a perfect to-go spot, but they are made fresh, so order ahead! I had the al pastor, crane, and carnitas tacos coming in right at $10.50 for all four. Wowzers...this place is awesome!! Hidden neighborhood gem! As several others have said, the food is super fresh tasty and served with a smile! I got 4 of the carne asada (beef fajita) tacos and one al pastor (pork). Amazing! Fresh, seemingly house made tortillas, meat was seasoned to perfection with fresh onion and cilantro on top with a squeeze of lime...as it should be. Each bite made me want more. I could have easily eaten 4 more! The al pastor was seasoned well too, and while I've had better al pastor, this is easily up there with the best! Wife had a taco and gordita...she said the gordita was superb! All those amazing tacos, but not the most awesome part... the mini fridge with all the fresh house made salsas. I live right around the corner from this spot and had no idea it was so yummy. It's a cute little spot and wasn't crowded at all. We went about 9:30 and to our delight we were told they serve breakfast ALL DAY! Love it! The service is awesome and they are super sweet. I will be going back again to sample lunch. My husband and I came in this morning for breakfast, we got one fajita taco, a gordita with fajita meat, and the chilaquiles verdes. The gordita was really soft and cheesy which we enjoyed. As with the taco the fajita was a bit dry. The chilaquiles were okay but not great. We had also gotten a Horchata but we ended up throwing it away since it was not good and we could tell it was not homemade but that syrup kind. Took a visit to Houston this weekend so we was craving some tacos (hard to find a good or great tacos while traveling) so yelp to the rescue lol. Found this tiny spot tucked away in Spring Tx off Sawdust. The parking lot isn't to friendly especially driving a big truck. Its looks new so very clean an organize the menu are big an large to read as well as Togo menu upon walking in. All the meats you would normally have at any taco place. Tacos, gordita, burrito (large one) etc. Everything is extra of you want to enhance your item. The season was great on the meat so that's a plus always. Comes with cilantro in onions automatically. This place might not be a huge chain Mexican restaurant, but it was pleasant. Although given that nobody was there we were attended quickly and the food was out fast! Great place for tacos among other items. I've had the beef fajita tacos as well as the el pastor tacos. Everything is fresh and homemade. They make their own corn and flour tortillas which really makes a difference. Try the charro beans...delish. I've also been there for breakfast and had the huevo rancheros with homemade refried beans with bacon on the side. Very reasonable prices. Delicious! The beef pastor tacos are the absolute best. I also had a 5 star barbacoa taco and some of my husband's authentic beef gordita, which was also amazing! The charro beans were the best I have ever had, ever. I have had tons of Tex-Mex, Mexican, Central American, etc food and this was the best. All of the tacos come with diced onion and cilantro and you can choose flour or corn tortilla (always go with corn, in my opinion). The menu is great because you customize what you want down to the toppings, which are only 25 cents each. The only thing that wasn't 5-star was the Diet Coke, but when we asked them to change it, they could not, so they gave us a bottle of Diet Coke! Excellent customer service. Man oh man what happened guys? So I used to be addicted to this place! Like a crack head real talk (joking no I am not) Last December I had them, and something taste different. (mostly likely for got sprinkle it with crack?) When I got there parking spot available. 3. Not the same people used to 4. Empty no people eating, no one head of me? 5. If I placed an order and request one order for Rudy and one for Isabel (cause my brother and I were paying separate) I request my without rice....why didn't you label it? 6. When I ask hey which burrito is without rice they guy just gave me a blank stare. (Usually they'd apologize and try to correct it) The guy really didn't apologize 7. It just wasn't the same burrito A) the flour tortilla just didn't taste the same, lack freshness, home made taste. B) I ordered fajita as the meat, and it lack taste. I don't know if it was the seasoning or that it didn't taste charcoal like it did in the past. It taste like reheat meat 8. So the green salsa wasn't filled to the top had request an extra one. 9. No sprinkle of crack (Just kidding) Will I eat here again maybe ....in a blue moon but not like before were I would go more than once a week. I recently hosted a fiesta themed bridal shower for my bestie, and called Red Salsa Tacos for a large order and prayed they'd be able to deliver it to the event. Shayla (the manager) was not only able to deliver the meal, but she made sure to just handle everything so I was stress free. I told her I needed enough tacos to feed 20. She was patient, asked me which meats I wanted, and told me not to worry and that she'd take care of the rest! The tacos were a hit! Went in ordered 4 tacos. 1 was excellent(bacon and egg), 1 was decently good (barbacoa), 1 was decent (carnitas, too dry), 1 was inedible(picadillo, don't think they understand the concept, meat was definitely sour). Had both flour and corn tortillas, both were good, homemade. All the tacos were waaaaaaayyy too small. Worth more along the lines of 1-1.50, not more than two bucks which is what they charged. Overall, decent place, over priced for single tacos if you ask me though.. do yourself a favor and skip the picadillo. read more
