I used to love this restaurant. I always gave my blessings to all my friends about this place and a few months ago, all of that changed.
I witnessed the most disgusting behavior I have ever seen in a restaurant to date. I had found out that the managers name was Danny by some employee that I spotted leaving the restaurant with his work shirt on and I called him over to my car to ask him the managers name. At first the employee dude in the parking lot wanted to know why then I said that he really didn't want to know why if he knew what was good for him and that is when he said Danny and headed to his car to go home. I called and asked for Danny by name when a female answered the phone. She said who's this and I said a previous customer. She then said she needed to know what I was calling for and I said to speak with Danny. Danny was so interested in who I was and if I was going to make a complaint or not that he was useless! Danny didn't want to take any responsibility for being the manager. When I asked if I was talking to the manager Danny had the nerve to say to me on the phone "It depends on what you want him for" I said oh really? So if you're not the manager may I speak with the manager and if you are the manager then please acknowledge yourself so I can move on with the reason I'm calling. I ended up hanging up in frustration.
I waited 5 minutes and then called back and asked for "the manager" and lo and behold It was Danny who picked up the phone. Now that we had established that Danny WAS the manager I went on to voice my complaint:
While I was sitting at my seat waiting for my sushi roll to be delivered to my table a waitress came out of the kitchen which I was seated directly across from and deposited on my table a large bowl of ramen and ran off. I tried to get her attention but she ran off so quickly that I was stuck there staring at this bowl of ramen, knowing that I didn't order ramen and wondering why it was delivered to me. I was talking to some young guys at the table for two right next to mine and both of them looked at me and said "Did you order this?" I said "no, and I can't seem to get her attention to get it out of here". We had struck up a conversation and one of the youngsters had sneezed right near the ramen bowl that was in the center of my small table.
Anyway, a minute or so later, I got the waitresse's attention and told her that I never ordered any ramen. She looked at her slip and removed the bowl of ramen, walked 3 feet over and deposited it in front of a lady wearing blue scrubs at the 3rd table for two near the wall. I thought to myself, isn't that a health code violation? That kid just sneezed on her ramen and the waitress didn't even pour it out and get a new one, yuk! I tried to get the womans attention but she was reading something on her phone and had loud music playing in earbuds and was not looking my way at all so I gave up. The next thing you know, I have a plate of egg rolls in front of me and again, no waitress to be found. Again I look and finally flag down the waitress to tell her that I didn't order egg rolls either, Again she looked at her slip, removed the egg rolls, walked 3 feet over and dropped it in front of the lady wearing blue scrubs.
By now I'm beyond disgusted. I start waving my hands trying to catch the attention of the lady 3 feet away and finally she pulls out an earbud and says "What? Can't you see i'm busy?" I said yes but I wanted to let you know that the egg roll you are eating sat on my table for about 2 minutes before the waitress returned to take them from me and give them to you. The lady blew the other half of the egg roll out of her mouth and said "What? You mean to tell me that they didn't get me new egg rolls after delivering them to you first?" and I said "I thought you might want to know, annnnnd she did the same thing with the Ramen"
Well, that started the war... the nasty waitress started trying to deny it all the while I stood my ground and demanded that she replace that ladys food with new food, and my roll had already been dropped on my table by a different server so I knew my food was safe. I notified the nasty waitress that I would pay my bill but no tip because she was disgusting and had broken health law at least twice right in front of my eyes. She said she never done that before and this was the first time but then tried to blame a different waitress in the same breath.
I knew my days at Red Salmon were over. I felt as though I had to tell my friends the story of the nasty waitress and her health code ethics. The lady in the scrubs thanked me as we both left the place but I stuck around because I felt that I had to at least tell the manager so he could fire her or do something like educate her about health codes. I really wanted to contact the owner but life stepped in and I got sidetracked and forgot about perusing the owner. Instead I made a commitment to NEVER eat at Red Salmon again! read more
