I have to comment on the one star that I saw for this business. It's frustrating that people don't give a business a fair chance to diagnose and correct a mechanical problem. I have done a lot of mechanical work myself in the past, and I know my limits. I have recently had them work on my Jeep Rubicon. It had a complicated problem which required diagnosis and fixing of the transmission and clutch. They evaluated the condition, and then found and followed up with the proper correction. The OEM parts were back ordered by the Jeep dealership and I was offered the option of utilizing upgraded non OEM parts which were actually cheaper. I agreed and the car runs like Brand New! As for the Quality of there work, soon after my Jeep was fixed I received a Recall Notice from Corporate Jeep regarding my exact car problem. Jeep Corporate called the garage, (not being a certified Jeep Dealer) and spoke to Mr. Tiffert (co-owner). Jeep evaluated the mechanical correction and agreed to reimburse me for my FULL Cost!! I would say this explains that they are a Reputable Automotive Repair Facility! I would highly recommend this Garage. This has to be one of the best shops in Illinois. Another shop broke the head off of my control arm bolt so I had to find a trustworthy mechanic to work on the damage. I got my car towed to Red's garage to get it worked on New Years day so most shops were closed even Red's. I left my car at Red's and they let me hold my car there until the repair parts got in. The other mechanic told me that I had to get a new control arm because the bolt was frozen in there, but Red's got the bolt out so I didn't have to buy a new control arm. These guys are trustworthy and do great work. If you are looking for an honest mechanic that does professional work and has great customer service. One of the best parts about this place is how friendly everybody is and how willing they are to help no matter the situation. Red's Garage is also an authorized Rough Country dealer! If you need a mechanic, Red's Garage is the one. Period. I mean it. Honda quoted me $1700 dollars for something that I paid a FRACTION for at this garage. Reds garage is right down the road from me. Both myself and my girlfriend come here for the genuine service, care, and attention to detail they provide. Very polite and informative owner and staff.
