Went in for simple services. Oil change, tire rotate and transmission service. Was told by Troy that with the transmission service I might have issues. He was right. I paid my bill. Had flare ups than a check engine light. The problem was they left my Transmission fluid level 2 quarts low. Could have cost me a transmission. Not happy and will never recommend. read more

Wife went in to get a invoice. She was told pay your bill or call their attorney. Funny thats what they had to do....due to them doing MULTIPLE REPAIRS same work vehicles were brought in for over and over. Prime example....in less than 10k miles brakes and rottors go bad. Than in 1.5 weeks alone the vehicle is back in SIX more times and they still didnt fix it. Not to mention that we have proof on other things such as them. Saying that my frame was bent on my truck. When I have 3 body shops. Stating that the frame was nowhere bent. But this cost me to get my vehicle totaled when it should not have been. The kicker is we actually have an email from Troy. Stating that doing warranty work cost them money. We were shocked and appalled after we initially sent him an email stating for us to constantly bring our vehicle in the same weeks over and over for the same thing. We brought my car in for brakes and alignment first thing this morning with appointment. We were told $640 out the door. Called to check in at about 4:15pm and were told Car would be ready 4:45-5:00pm. We arrived at 5:00, car was still being worked on and alignment not done. "Sorry!" I was told. Okay so I'll pay for the brakes, how much? $597. How much is the alignment? Another $80. I was planning on coming back for the alignment even with the inflated price until I got in my car and the door was covered in grease. Sorry, Robinsons, you lost a customer today. read more

Came in with what my dealership told me were bad back brakes, and was told that they were in perfect condition and didn't need to be replaced yet. They then rotated my tires for me as well. They could have easily replaced the brakes and charged me for it, but instead they told me the truth. They earned a customer for life. read more

We have been going to Robinson's for years. They are the best. We call regularly for ongoing service for our car and truck as well as immediate needs when something unusual comes up. They answer our calls immediately and try to get us in asap--always. Once the car or truck is there the call us with whatever the issue is and an estimate of what it will cost--in all our years that estimate has been right on target. Cannot day enough about the exceptional level of service I've experienced here. They saved me from being bent over a barrel at the dealership when my 2015 grand cherokee's radiator cracked at 40k miles (just out of warranty). If I could give this place a negative review I would.I was there this morning with my car I had no heat and they tried to tell me it was $1,500 to $2500 to replace a head gasket and oil cooler replacement. I was shocked seeing as though my heat goes on occasionally. I took it to another place. I got my car radiator flushed and my heat works great. For $200.00 out the door. I can honestly say that being a female and not knowing too much about cars, that Robinsons has always been my goto place when my Jeep needs maintenance. I have never felt that I have been lied to or cheated as I have felt at other places. I do have an older Jeep and I am a frequent customer but I can truly say I have never been dissatisfied with their prices. My car had broke down three times within a month and they were generous enough to give me a discount that was bigger than the ones in the valpaks. I go there for everything, even their oil changes even though those are just a tad pricey, but they do it right and I trust them 100%. read more

I had a metal dust cap that had seized itself to one of my valve stems over the winter, gave these guys a call to replace it because they're a mile down the street from me. Mind you, this is the first time I had ever been to the shop. They installed new valve stem, transferred the TPMS sensor and re-inflated the tire within 15 minutes, and sent me on my way. Didn't even charge me for anything. Great customer service, I'll be returning. Oh, and the gigantic Great Dane hanging out in the waiting area was friendly too. read more

Oh sidewall ruptures on I-294. I love you so. Anyway, a couple days later found me at Robinson's getting my tires installed, which I had ordered from Tire Rack. Robinson's was one of Tire Rack's recommended installers, and while it was a little more expensive than some of the other places, it was also about the only place near me that got any kind of positive review. I know - in the majority of cases, people only review when they have something bad to say, so that's kind of to be expected, but three glowing reviews, and the memory of my last Tire Rack installer taking something like 3 hours to install tires, prompted me to pay the extra for better service. And that's what I got. I made my 8am appointment, brought my laptop, and settled in for a wait. They offered coffee, and had a decent but unassuming waiting area. They also appeared to be doing land office business - lots of walk-ins, even referring customers to other trusted shops in the area if they couldn't help due to scheduling problems. The staff were very friendly, polite on the phone, polite with customers. Kind of a nice change from some of the gruff service you can get at places like this. All that and - my install was done after just an hour and change. I would never have expected. One thing I thought was odd was that they didn't have time for an alignment. I actually think I might have some suspension damage I should get repaired first, so I didn't really want an alignment, but they mentioned it to me before we even got started. On the down side, if it wasn't for the suspension damage, I would have wanted one. But on the up side, they didn't try to pressure sell me the "lifetime alignment" garbage that I've been force pitched from some other tire shops. So, I think this is actually a plus for Robinson's - but if you want one, you should just remember to ask for an alignment when you make your appointment so they can factor it in. I'll use these guys again in a heart beat. They took good care of my painted wheels, did the job fast, and the balance job is dead on - car feels much better after all was said and done. For a few bucks more than the local NTB? Worth it. read more

Robinsons just gave my car new life. I got a standard oil change somewhere else earlier in the week and by the weekend my car was screaming for help. Of course, the oil change place said they did nothing saw nothing wrong and were no help so I decided to finally take it to the place where all my family has raved about for years even though I live 30 minutes away. I did and I have never been so happy. They were friendly, knowledgeable, fast and they don't try to rip you off. The topping on the Robinson Cake is ZIGGY! This review is long overdue. Family member told me about Robinsons a few years ago and I decided to give them a try. Started out with basic oil changes, etc. When I took my vehicle in for more services, I started to notice quality issues with the service provided. The first one related to forgetting to put on a gasket during one of my fluid changes. My check engine light went on and they repaired at no charge. A second issue came about when my odometer on my second vehicle started to act erratic...It took them a few times to diagnose the issue to correct it. The final straw for me was the numerous times they attempted to repair my air conditioner on my Ford Escape. Needless to say, I felt I was being swindled. Each time they diagnosed an issue, they stated this would fix it. However, after 3-4 trips to fix it, and ~$2,500 they did not fix it. Though my AC had all the new parts, it still did not work. I took the car to another repair shop and they stated, after inspecting, it, that a dealer shop should do the repair as it requires a specialty and the part that need to be replaced (still not diagnosed by Robinsons) by the dealer. I appreciated their honesty and sure did wish Robinson was able to tell me that before the first payment. So in summary, though very nice people, the quality of their work to be able to get it done right the first time is suspect. I currently use the repair shop for my auto needs. read more

My husband blew a tire on orchard road he drove slow and got to Robinsons but it was at 5am. They dont open till 8am which he understood and waited in his truck. I met him and found out they didnt have a tire to fit his Ford F-150? This place is called Robinsons Firestone Tire and Auto? and you dont have a tire, its not like its an off brand truck? It was 815am. So I had to call Firestone in Montgomery and YEA they had a tire, no problem..so I drove him to get the tire and drove him back.. then find out they told us the wrong size and I was headed already on my way to work and my poor husband who is a very sick man started walking! yes walking alll the way back about 4 miles if not more back to firestone because Robinsons didnt offer a ride to him, all this while pushing the dang tire that didnt fit. He stopped and called firestone and they told him "oh no dont walk its tooo far, they would bring him the tire" HOW NICE IS THAT! they bring it right away and by this time its around 10:30am. My poor husband had already been there since 5am.Robinsons didnt care, they made him wait! it took him 8 hours to get a tire on his truck and you call Robinsons a customer service place . I wouldnt go there again if it was free! I am so disappointed in Robinsons for their service, the way my husband was treated! I cant even think about ever sending anyone to them for nothing! Firestone is Montgomery is AWESOME, they are kind, their customer service is outstanding and they truly care about their customers! As a third generation Robinson's customer, they have proven time and time again to be reliable and trustworthy. As a woman, I often feel talked to by other auto places like I don't know anything or I am stupid but at Robinson's they are down to earth and never try to pull one over on you, including trying to make sure you get what you need without paying more than you should have to. When I have tried other places our car breaks again or we end up paying way too much. But at Robinson's they always fix it the first time around. As the other reviewer said, they walk you through what needs fixing right away, what can wait for later when you have the money, and what to consider in the long term.
