Our service was also amazing from the hostess all the way through the night. Keith was our server, and he did such a great job making us feel extra special on our day. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone! 10/10 experience!

It didn't start out well, as it was very warm in the restaurant. We were seated right away and were given water and the menus. It took about 20 minutes for the server to come get our drink order, then another 15 minutes to bring it back. We quickly put in our order before he left. He was a really nice guy, but I could tell he had too many tables (there was a table of 8 next to us he was in charge of as well as others we noticed). Another fifteen minutes, our drinks and water were gone and no salad. Finally the salad came. It was small and needed more dressing. There wasn't any bread offered. So we sat there another 25 minutes waiting for our main course (steak for him, halibut for me). The server came by and apologized for the wait. He offered me a complimentary refill on my wine and I accepted. Another 15 minutes and we got our entrees. The steak came with 2 steak fries and a pile of overcooked/almost burned brussels sprouts. My halibut was about 1 1/2 inches wide and 3 inches long on a huge, plate that made it look even smaller. It was overcooked with a tough skin that was hard to cut through. It was supposed to come with carrots and came with two half the size of my little finger carrots. Husband said the steak was pretty good. Another 15 minutes after we had finished our entrees the desserts came. Husband got the chocolate cake (which he though was the best part of the meal) and I got the fruit tart. The tart seemed like it may have been made the day before as the fruit was cloudy. The tart pastry shell was overbaked and hard to cut. The inside, though was good. At this point, we just wanted to pay and go. They did seem exceptionally busy for a Thursday night, but we were pretty disappointed in the service as well as the food. Wonderful view of the city.

Long story short, my cousin in Arkansas sent me a video of a seafood boil place in Dallas and asked…read morehad I been there. I told him it was good but not worth the price. I came to Pho and Seafood after work today for the Pho because when I moved to this area in June I'd stopped in and enjoyed the Pho. Well I saw the seafood boils on the menu and decided to try one because I'd just talked to my cousin about the place in Dallas. LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING (yes I am yelling), the seafood boil I had was amazing. My favorite spot is The Boiling Crab in Plano. Is it better than that? Not in my opinion but it is very, very good! The biggest difference is I would go to The Boiling Crab just to get the sausage sometimes because their sausage is so good. I wouldn't do that here but the spices are great. That said a level one here is almost a level 3 at The Boiling Crab so if spice isn't your thing beware. Overall, considering price and taste, this is a solid 8.9 out of 10 compared to (by my opinion) a 9.4 out of 10 at The Boiling Crab. Value wise because it's considerably less expensive, you can't beat it! Okay, I'm done

On the outside they have a cozy covered patio with a couple of big screens. We chose to sit outside and ordered the fried oysters to start. They were delicious paired with the pico that it was topped with. I ordered the yellowfin tuna tacos that were a part of their specials menu. It was amazing! Yellowfin was flavorful along with the guacamole. Wish it came with more tacos that's how good they were! The calamari was also great paired with its two dipping sauces. Lastly the dessert brownie and ice cream were wonderful as well. I want to definitely come back and try more items from their menu!

We ordered a crawfish and snow crab boil with Cajun butter and added nitro. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The crawfish were small and overcooked, and everything was very salty. The crab and shrimp were also overcooked to the point we couldn't eat the shrimp. We did go around 8:30pm (they close at 9), so maybe that affected it. What really threw me off though was a staff member cleaning nearby who said out loud, "Did animals eat here or what?" while we were still sitting there. That was pretty disrespectful and uncomfortable. Overall, mixed experience. Great service from Matt and nice atmosphere, but I'd probably come back just for drinks or something light not the boil.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting with exposed brick, soft lighting, and a cozy bar. Our server, Que, was excellent--knowledgeable, attentive, and gave great recommendations. We started with the shrimp over lemon polenta, which was outstanding. My fiancé had the lamb chops and loved them, and I had the seafood risotto with scallop, salmon, and shrimp--everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We finished with bread pudding, which was a nice ending to the meal. Urban exceeded our expectations in every way. The food, service, and atmosphere all reflect real care and quality. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it if you're in McKinney.

I've always thought of this place as one of the better restaurants in downtown McKinney, and I still remember loving the lamb chops the last time I was here. After dining at more restaurants over the past couple of years, though, I have to say that Urban Grill just doesn't hold up. My biggest issue is the price. This is arguably the most expensive restaurant on the square, and unfortunately, the food doesn't come close to justifying it. Everything was fine, but nothing really stood out. When you're charging this much, I expect the quality of the food to reflect the price. There are other restaurants on the square serving better food at a lower price point, which makes the value here particularly hard to justify. The restaurant also feels stuck in the past. The early 2010s playlist doesn't help, and the lighting is far too dim for my taste. I understand wanting to create a certain atmosphere, but this isn't a steakhouse where I expect a dark, moody dining room. What makes this experience especially disappointing is that I really wanted to like this place. It's one of the first times I've left a restaurant feeling genuinely sad about the experience. If the prices were more in line with other restaurants on the square, I probably wouldn't be nearly as critical. But when you're charging a premium, the food needs to deliver. One bright spot was the service. Our waiter was extremely friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. I only wish the food lived up to the same standard as the service. Unfortunately, I can't recommend Urban Grill and Wine Bar at its current price point. There are better restaurants on the square offering better food for less money, and I'd have a hard time telling someone to spend this much here when there are stronger options just down the street.
