The server was a nice young man, but I quickly realized he was overwhelmed or distracted. My order was simple: grilled chicken breast, mixed vegetables, and cottage cheese (yeah, a GLP-1 meal) He brought the cottage cheese right away. 20 minutes later I was looking for my meal. Went here for lunch around 12:30pm and it turned into one of the worst restaurant experiences we've had in a long time. Service was extremely slow from the start. It took at least 20 minutes just to get a beer refill. After waiting quite a while for our meals, the waitress finally came back and told us our food had never even been put into the system. Only then did she place the order, which meant even more waiting. When the food finally arrived, my wife's steak was supposed to be medium but came out extremely rare--barely cooked. By that point, we were already frustrated and just wanted to finish up and leave. I also asked for another beer that never showed up. We ended up paying $125 for three people for a meal that took forever, had multiple service issues, and wasn't cooked correctly. This is a local mall business and it's good if you're staying in a local hotel or rest area. The beer prices reasonable I am from the Buffalo area so when I ordered wings extra crispy I'm a pretty harsh judge. The bartenders were very friendly and good listeners. I had a few pints in the bar area that was clean and quiet on a Wednesday night with a snow front coming in the area. I took my wings to go. I am certain they were probably frozen. This is not a bad thing as they were definitely cooked as I requested, ( you can always tell fresh though). The sauce was good and if you like spicy wings... you can order here and keep a favorite spicy bottle in your car/house. My wife and I stopped in while passing through the area and getting fuel. It really was a nice little spot however it took a while for our food. That said the food was very good! I truly enjoyed the spinach salad with the warm bacon dressing. I also got to enjoy a bit of my wife's blue cheeseburger. The homemade chips were delicious as well. This place is absolutely not what it's cracked up to be! A "steakhouse" - ha! More like a step below Applebees but trying to be a step above. The front desk attendant at the hotel I was staying at suggested this place. I got a 10% discount card (thank you!), but I would have been better off picking up something frozen at Aldis around the corner and microwaving it in my room. Soup of the day was chicken noodle, which was mostly mushy overcooked pasta noodles in a slimy broth, and it was not hot! I ordered a basic salad and added chicken, but it was just more disappointment. For nine whole dollars I got a little helping of grilled chicken, which was salty, which means low quality. At times, the lettuce tasted like fish or bacon, couldn't really make up my mind. It was supposed to come with cucumbers, but they were tiny little slices hiding at the bottom of the salad. I guess the scary part was the olive oil for dressing alongside red wine vinegar. It hardly came out and there were floaties in it. Yuck. It all seemed so promising when we sat down, though, because the warm rolls that showed up right away with a dollop of honey butter (I think that's what it was) were incredible. Yes please to those! Service was OK. Nice girls, but they would be better off finding a gig somewhere more promising! Turn back now while you can, sweethearts! Ambiance was mid. A little too big. Food was very good! Started with rolls. We had a Prime Rib Dip and Cod sandwich. We couldn't believe the portion sizes. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Cod. For me, I enjoyed the potato soup. I requested some horseradish for the prime rib. It was very filling and was tasty. I'm not quite sure if I liked Gouda cheese on the sandwich. I guess I'm used to another flavor. We would stop again. The RRRoadhouse doesn't look too appealing from the outside and the poorly maintained parking lot. The inside of the restaurant reminds me of A Texas Roadhouse. Nice decor and well maintained. Waited at the hostess station for a full five minutes, which I could have handled, but 2 employees were standing in the hall talking and an employee walked from the kitchen to the dining area and then back and not one person even attempted to talk to me or get someone to seat me. This place reminds me of a poor Outback knock off with 90s decor. The menu was lackluster. I usually get a salad but the choices were not thrilling so I played it safe and got the chicken nugget appetizer and the " fresh Cajun chips" . The chips were not fresh nor even warm and well on their way to being stale. The fried chicken was ok until I got home and realized they had very old grease in the frier as I was shitting through the eye of a needle a 10 paces. My husband had the wings and French onion soup. My wife and I regularly stay at a motel close to the RRR. We have eaten there for the past six years. The motel used to give us a discount coupon we could use at the RRR. In our most recent stay, the motel no longer had the coupons for RRR but had them for another local restaurant. They said we could show RRR our room key and possibly get the discount. We we arrived at the RRR we asked the seating hostess if we could get the discount with proof of our stay at the referring motel. Her reply was "Sir, I don't know anything about that" with no offer to find out. We then requested a table instead of a booth. She offered a table in a cramped location about two feet from a long table where six road construction workers wete eating. Since many other tables were vacant I asked if we could have a quieter table with more room and pointed to one. She replied "No Sir, I can't do that" I also noticed the RRR was only about a quarter full of diners. I didn't appreciate her callous attitude and lack of caring so we immediately left. We found another restaurant close by that was friendlier, more accomodating, food was better and cheaper. Goodbye RRR. I won't return. read more

It was after the dinner rush when we got there. A brief wait and seated in a comfortable booth, our waiter was quick to take and return with our drink orders. Chicken fingers for one, chicken salad for another, and a 6oz filet with side salad and a baked potato for me. All parties were very pleased with their orders, my filet was cooked just as I ordered it. No room for dessert, as our meals were plentiful. Was really hoping things would be a lot better than when it was the previous restaurant. While everything tasted "ok", there was nothing spectacular about our meal, and a lot of it had temperature issues. For example, my salad was actually warm, where as it should be cold...obviously. My main entree, the Smothered Ground Sirloin, tasted ok, although it was unseasoned. However, it was "cool", and the vegetable medley that came with it was very cold, borderline "just out of the freezer". The rolls that a lot of the reviews have been raving about were cold and stiff. Very disappointed with this. The only thing I truly liked was the french onion soup, and the chicken "chunks", which were actual tenders. Our service started out great, but then dwindled from there. Had to ask for any refills, which is one of my biggest pet peeves in a restaurant. Not sure I would go out of my way to go back. We pulled into Clarion, PA around 7:45 on a Thursday night after spring since 10:30 from northern MI. We were headed for NJ and trying to get ahead of a predicted storm. The front desk clerk at the hotel suggested RRR because the food was good-and they were open until 9:00. So we tried it. We got a crock of French onion soup, a spinach bacon salad, a Griller salad with added salmon. The French onion soup was piping hot, topped with croutons and plenty of melty cheese. The smaller croutons made it so much more pleasant to eat than a giant single croutons. The spinach salad was served with a generous amount of crumbled bacon, a yummy hot bacon dressing, and two slices of bacon that were slightly underdone for my taste. But I'm an "extra crispy " kind of diner when it comes to bacon. The Griller salad-now here's the novel idea. It's a great garden salad featuring hard cooked egg, cheese, and topped with a nice handful of...FRENCH FRIES! The best of both worlds!! Healthy and well, not. But really tasty. I added salmon-and it was a super large portion. Delicious!! And the prices are amazing! And all served up by Lauren, who was charming, friendly, attentive, and didn't get grumpy when we were the last table in the place. Ask for Lauren when you visit RRR! It's worth the stop. They have a good selection on their menu mostly geared toward BBQ, steaks etc. The BBQ chicken wasn't very good although they make a decent French onion soup. Their mac n cheese stuffed meatloaf was tasty and cooked well, but I felt their mac noodles were too large & smothered the cheese, both getting 'lost' in the big chunk of meatloaf.
