Heads up on rampant racism... Hi friends.. I haven't made a post on Facebook in awhile. This post is long, so please bare with me. This is important. I am so sad to share this... I have decided to make a post about an interaction I witnessed in Clarion, because I truly believe this needs to be heard & shared amongst the community, & simply could not stand for what happened.... On Saturday April 5th 2025 , at approximately 8:30PM, I was visiting Clarion & met a friend at Loomis Bar. I arrived & was greeted by the owner of the Loomis, Ron Pacsai. I made small talk with Ron, as I used to work for him as a bartender at Infusion Bar circa 2021- another bar that be owns in Clarion as well as Loomis Bar. After the small talk with Ron Pacsai, I made my way over to my friend. We ordered our drinks & some food. One of the bartenders at Loomis Bar informed us that it was free juke box that night & suggested that we should play some songs. Immediately, Ron Pacsai, the owner, interjected & looked directly at my friend & said in a disgusted tone "don't play any of that black people music" My friend made every attempt to dismiss his comment. But he went on to repeat himself two more times that he did not want my friend to play "black people music" After his third comment my friend finally said "excuse me?" Ron Pacsai: "you heard me, I don't want to hear that black ass music in my bar" My friend: "you know I have black children right? I really don't appreciate your comment" Ron Pacsai: "oh I know you do. & that is why I said 'I don't want to hear any of your black ass music' in my bar. & you can get the f*** out if you don't like that" My friend: (who has been a paying customer to him FOR YEARS): "Do you want me to leave then?" Ron Pacsai: "yes. Get the f*** out of my bar right now" My friend graciously exited Loomis Bar. But I decided to stay for just a few seconds longer to hear this next part. The lovely bartender, (the one who told us about the free jukebox night) BRAVELY said to her boss, Ron Pacsai,: "Ron, that seemed a little unfair to kick her out for (challenging) what you said. She did nothing wrong." Ron Pacsai: "I don't f****** care. You can leave with her" The bartender: "I need this job... Ron, my 2 month old child is black. You know that right?" Ron Pacsai: "I don't f****** care. I'll fire you right now for that." I decided to leave at that moment to catch up with my friend. I feel guilty for not interjecting. This was a blatant scenario of RACISM by Ron Pacsai. The owner of both Loomis & Infusion. Ron was fully aware that my friend has biracial children & chose to tell her that her "black ass music" was unwelcome. (Fun fact she just wanted to play some Simon & Garfunkel, & Tom Petty on the free jukebox.. not some 'black ass music' he was insinuating-- if that matters). I can say with full confidence that my friend in question is a pillar of the community, as are her children. I feel blessed to call her my friend. I am currently unaware if that brave bartender still has a job. I am not sure if Ron Pacsai fired her for only stating her feelings about his BLATANT racist comments & telling Ron she has a biracial child. I feel ASHAMED that this behavior still happens. I feel ashamed that this man was my boss. I am ashamed that this happened in the place I grew up in. I beg the Clarion community to STAND UP & SHOW that this behavior is UNACCEPTABLE. Please share this post. Please let Ron Pacsai know that his actions & behavior are UNACCEPTABLE. I am truly begging.... PLEASE SHARE!!!!! read more

Bought 3 pizzas. Totaled $71.00! Got them home, 1 was edible, 1 was edible after scraping flour off the bottom, and one was only half eaten because the rest had so much flour on it you could not eat it! Reached out to them thru messenger, they seen it, and no response to try to make it right. read more

Gonna give it a one star. Doesn't hit the spot. Kind of looks dirty behind bar. Pool is expensive. Food isn't that all too great for the price. Servers were okay. Not really going above and beyond. Had no idea typically bar drinks like an old fashion. Olive juice tasted so old but the taste was barley there because of the four shots she gave me. Not really a great atmosphere. Kind of plain when you go in. I could tell owner hasn't done much to it. Not the typically bar I would go to. Only would go back because there is not many around. Would only trust bottle beer but that's expensive also. read more

Most overrated place in town. The worst pizza you'll have and the wings are nothing as described. Dark, dingy, dirty place to have food and certainly not for the families. read more

Always amazing food and service! The staff goes above and beyond every single time! The older local population can be real dicks to the staff, witnessed and verified. Best pizza in town hands down. read more

01/2016 health department! Flys everywhere, maybe 15-20 of them swarming around my food in the bar, I had to pick them out of my beer and wave my arm to keep them off of my food. I sat in the bar and was told after when I complained that they have a problem in that seat Spoke to the kitchen side and they were understanding. Really nice folks hated to tell them that I won't be back. Fruit flies in a bar means flys in every bottle of liquor, every beer tap and in every plate of food. Absolutely disgusting. I was starving so I had to suck it up and eat my meal, wish I would have walked out before it came. read more

The Loomis Bar - Infested - Bars Near Me - Clarion, Pennsylvania

While driving through the area we found this place via yelp and decided to give it a try. A good decision. Good steaks, burgers, and salads for the crew. Well made cocktails, and a decent wine selection. All set in an old building that's fun to look around. Glad we found em on our travels! read more

Its way to expensive for the kind of food that hits the table. If you go to a sit down restaurant I'd expect a chef that knows what he/she is doing. But my chicken was so dry it was jerky. read more

In the theatre we have a saying. You get 2 of 3 things. Good, fast & cheap. Loomis skips the first one, and unfortunately that's my favorite. Food was fast, and they were open. But flat beer with ice in it? Flavorless food? Glaringly bright lights? And smells like your grandma's basement. Musty old/ moldy is not terribly appetizing. But they were open! Staff was very nice, but totally clueless. Never refilled water. Brought cole slaw as an appetizer??? But they were open! 8:30 pm on a Friday night, and we were the only ones there.. read more

The decor here is somewhat dated and misleading in that I expected the food to be dated as well, but was delighted to have had a very delicious lunch. The French onion soup was incredibly delicious and my haddock had the lightest and most delicate breading I've ever seen. The bun was thicker than I would have liked, but lettuce and tomato fresh and crisp. Italian wedding soup? Hearty and full of delicious ingredients. Although the hamburger was shown as a whopping 8 ounces, they offer a four ounce on their light menu. Topping it all with freshly made apple pie from fresh, not canned apples resulted in two very satisfied patrons hoping to return soon. We had wonderful service here. Pineapple burger was fantastic. We also has the garlic pretzels for an app they were awesome. I loved my philly sandwich. We will be back soon. read more

We found this very good restaurant while traveling I-80 & looking for a place for dinner on 2/15/13. I am on a special low fat vegetarian diet & they were very accommodating with no fuss. They modified the basil pesto vegetarian fettuccini with a marinara in place of the pesto. Very tasty & very generous portion. Baked potato was excellent. My wife had the Scottish salmon in dill sauce w/ red skin mashed potatoes & broccoli. All very good. Server was very pleasant & efficient. read more

I believe Captain Loomis to be an awful establishment with even worse employees. I had a woman strike me in the face in the middle of the bar and every so called "security officer" supposedly didn't see it. I find that hard to believe as she was screaming and making a scene. With that being said I would never take me friends nor my family to an establishment who refuses to see a conflict a few day before the areas biggest revenue week just because they might loose a few dollars. In my opinion Captain Loomis is an awful establishment who refuses to recognize conflict when it may cost the business money. read more

We went to the Loomis today for lunch. We thought we would take our mother somewhere special for Mothers Day. Boy, were we wrong! The experience was horrible, from beginning to end. They only had a buffet. No menu, and they "forgot" to tell me that when I made the reservation. There was nothing posted about in the restaurant either. You only found out after you sat down and got your drinks. The buffet was $18 a person, and wasnt worth $2 a person. You spend 15 minutes waiting in line for the buffet, only to find out half of it was empty. And the food was TERRIBLE! It all tasted like it came out a box!! Our server hid in the kitchen the whole time, complaining about how many people were in the restaurant. We had to ask to have our drinks refilled, and the desserts were ridiciously. Served in paper dishes!!! I complained when I left to a server who could care less. After I left, and was looking at the bill, I discovered they charged 20% gratuity on the bill!!! They forgot to mention that also. 18% is standard!!! Would have been nice to know that before I left it the tip on the table!!! I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone!! read more
